After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities -
Chapter 862
Chapter 862
Sylvia has always loved the atmosphere of the Wright Family, there's a warmth of home that neither the Andrews nor Maskelyne Families have. After dinner, Cody chuckled and said to Franklin and Brayden, "Follow me to the study." Then he looked at Sylvia and said, "Sylvia, please sit down and have some fruit." Sylvia's indifferent eyes flashed a strange light as she nodded her head. "You guys go ahead." Last time she noticed that Cody was secretly talking with Franklin about something but with so much going on she forgot about it. This time again, things seemed off.
Mrs. Wright brought over freshly cut fruits and placed them on the coffee table in front of Sylvia saying,"Sylvia, these fruits were just bought from the supermarket today, so they're fresh." Sylvia smiled as she picked up a cherry from among them.
Jenna was holding her phone looking at clothes online when she said, "Sylvia, come help me pick out my dress."
"Is your wedding set?" asked Sylvia as her lips curved upwards slightly before turning towards Mrs. Wright asking, "Which day are you thinking?"
Mrs. Wright's face lit up with smiles saying, "We haven't decided yet, but maybe three months later we'll pick a good day for it since getting married requires preparation beforehand like getting the marriage license first."
She paused, collecting her thoughts before continuing, "We'll have the wedding dresses and Brayden's suit custom made. There are still some details about the reception venues that we need to figure out. We haven't even chosen a wedding planning company yet! I heard that Mr. Foster is also getting married soon and is searching for an expert planner. I'm thinking that if he replaces one, maybe we can piggyback onto his deal as well!"
Mrs. Wright seems quite thoughtful but this expert planner Z is rumored to be very mysterious; no one can seem to replace him or his previous employer where he used to work.
Sylvia felt like this matter was quite uncertain but didn't say anything. She wasn't all-powerful or superhuman; when it came down to planning romantic events like weddings, she really had no idea what do. "When you get a chance try talking more often with Foster Family members so you can gather more information. Isabelle has always been friendly towards me so I'll ask around too."said Sylvia nodding her head while glancing back at Jenna's phone screen adding, "If you don't mind, Darlene could help design your wedding gown or even your toastmaster outfit. She's pretty skilled at those things."
"Sylvia, it would be great if Darlene could help out," Mrs. Wright laughed uncontrollably.
Wearing a wedding dress and gown designed by Darlene would be quite an honor.
After all, Darlene is a designer who has even designed clothes for the queen mother.
"What do you mean?" Sylvia laughed again. "We still need to discuss the details of the wedding. It's a shame... Jenna doesn't have any family to walk her down the aisle. She can walk with Adriel if necessary." Mrs. Wright was taken aback, "Is that really okay?"
"Why wouldn't it be? Adriel couldn't ask for anything more," Sylvia said as she sent Adriel a message on Facebook, "My sister is getting married and I want you to accompany her as an elder."
Adriel replied quickly, "OK OK! Hey, you caused quite a stir in the red-light district this time!"
Sylvia knew he had been contacted by the district chief when he said that.
She raised an eyebrow and said nonchalantly: "So what?"
"Oh yeah! Your sister? Where did she come from?" Adriel finally realized what was going on at this moment.
"Jenna!" Sylvia's fingers flew over her phone screen as she spoke quickly. "She's going to become part of the Wright Family soon."
"I see!" Adriel replied just as quickly. "Why not make her my goddaughter instead of being adopted into your family?"
"How about it?" Mrs. Wright looked at her with some concern but Sylvia lifted her gaze up confidently: "He agreed! He'll definitely come back for Jenna's wedding."
As she spoke, Sylvia couldn't help but laugh: "He suggested that Jenna should just become his goddaughter instead since becoming your daughter-in-law means she won't be able to become your daughter anymore."
Mrs. Wright was stunned; even wide-eyed. "Is Adriel really so casual?" Crown Techs Group! If Jenna became his goddaughter... then there would be one more support behind him.
Mrs. Wright immediately thought deeply about this matter: "Jenna, if you agree then everything will be settled."
Jenna was confused," I don't think I know much about Adriel..."
"It doesn't matter," Sylvia continued happily," Since he's now your godfather then when you get married he'll have to give away dowry!"
Sylvia went straight ahead and replied back to Ardiel without hesitation :" Everything is settled now; we're having our engagement party tonight at Balfax Mansion- remember not forget dowry when giving away my sister!"
Adrielle got himself another little girl whom he loved very much indeed. He liked Jenna very much because she was cute, obedient, talented and smart.
"A girl who doesn't want that is the foolish one," Sylvia said.
"I'll book a private room now," she added, grinning.
When Franklin emerged from his study, ready to tell Sylvia to leave, he heard her say, "No need to go. We're going to Balfax Mansion for dinner tonight." Franklin was taken aback. "What happened? Why are we going there?"
He smirked and looked at Sylvia with interest.
Just as he spoke, Adriel sent him a message: "Friends and family! I've just welcomed a beautiful daughter into my life. See you tonight at Balfax Mansion!"
Franklin's eyes widened in shock. This was clearly a mass message - but could it be that the beautiful girl they were talking about was...?
"Is it you? Are you going to meet Adriel?" he asked Sylvia.
"Nope! It's Jenna," she replied with her usual grin. "When Brayden and Jenna get married someday, she'll walk down the aisle with Adriel by her side - but only if he has an official title!"
Cody chimed in without thinking: "That's right! No one will dare mess with Jenna now that she has someone like Adriel on her side."
His thoughts mirrored those of Mrs. Wright - they both felt relieved knowing that Jenna had someone who cared for her so deeply.
Jenna looked at the couple before her gratefully; their love and concern for her were genuine and heartfelt.
She finally had people who loved and cared for her deeply enough not to let anyone hurt or harm her anymore.
Brayden walked over and hugged Jenna tightly around the waist: "Looks like I won't be able to bully you anymore from now on!"
At 7 PM sharp, Balfax Mansion lit up brightly as luxury cars pulled up outside its gates.
A sleek Lamborghini slowly rolled up towards the parking lot before coming to a stop near the entrance of Balfax Mansion.
Katie stepped out of the car looking stunning in an elegant little dress paired perfectly with subtle makeup.
"Seriously though... why did Adriel have this party after adopting his daughter?" Katie muttered under breath while Kareem got out of driver's seat beside hers.
"He probably wants everyone else know about it too," Kareem suggested casually.
"I told my dad we should organize something similar through Wright Family," Katie sighed wistfully "but no luck so far."
She wondered if any members of Wright Family would show up tonight - especially Brayden...
The thought made Katie blush slightly as images of Brayden's handsome face flashed through mind once again.
"The Wright Family and the Mcguire family didn't have much interaction, unless there was a middleman involved," Kareem jingled his car keys. "Katie, you wanted to have dinner with Mr. Wright, right? Why go through so much trouble? Let me gather some guys and we'll set it up for you."
"Really?" Katie looked at him excitedly. "You're my real brother!"
Just then, another car pulled up.
Katie's face slightly changed when she saw who it was. "That woman is here."
It was none other than Carolyn.
Carolyn's car was a black Maybach that exuded a subtle luxury.
It wasn't as flashy or cool as a Lamborghini but still quite valuable in its own right.
She stepped out of her high heels and saw the siblings standing there. Thinking about how they had recently turned their home upside down, she felt a hint of disgust in her eyes.
But to outsiders, they were still a harmonious family.
She smiled at them. "Katie, Kareem, why aren't you going inside?"
Katie rolled her eyes. "We're waiting for you! Let's go!"
So the three of them walked towards Balfax Mansion's hall together.
Carolyn suppressed her annoyance and walked inside on her high heels; she had just come from work and hadn't even had time to change out of her professional suit - only touch up some makeup on the way over here.
Compared to Katie's glamorous look though Carolyn appeared somewhat plain yet elegant nonetheless.
Tiana brought Jonathan along with Raiden and Presley as well as Alondra and Sabrina. Many wealthy ladies from Urgford also flocked towards Balfax Mansion too!
Ever since Sabrina returned from Aettosa last time around something about her aura has changed significantly; there was an indiscernible sharpness mixed with dimness in her gaze now...
Alondra led Sabrina towards the banquet hall while asking: "Sabrina what's been going on lately?"
"Nothing really," Sabrina rubbed between eyebrows before continuing: "it's just that our recent experiments haven't made any progress yet... I'm getting really impatient."
"It's just an experiment; what's there to be impatient about?" Alondra laughed while comforting Sabrina. "Think about it, if this experiment succeeds, then we'll break through human limits, which will make huge contributions for humanity's development!"
Thinking back on their recent experiments made Sabrina feel uneasy again...
She nodded along without saying anything more after agreeing twice before falling silent once again...
"I wonder what kind of daughter Adriel has taken in," Alondra changed the topic. "To catch Adriel's eye, she must be extraordinary."
As soon as she finished speaking, Mrs. Ritter and Ashlyn walked over.
The mother and daughter were dressed to the nines, sparkling and glamorous.
Alondra was a scientist in medical research and had no fondness for women who dressed like jewelry displays.
But she still put on a polite face. "Mrs. Ritter, Miss Ritter, it's been a while."
Mrs. Ritter deliberately extended her hand, showing off her diamond ring and bracelet on her wrist while flipping her hair. "Yes! Ms. Wolfe, have you lost weight? Don't worry too much though; women who worry too much age quickly!"
