After I Amazed the World the Cold Alpha Regretted -
AFTER I AMAZED 122
Chapter 122
The reflection staring back at me was that of someone who had once been a formidable force on the track and was now ready to reclaim that power.
With a final glance at my reflection, I walked out of the changing room, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
The track was calling, and I was determined to prove that I still had what it took to be a champion.
As 1 emerged from the changing room in my racing suit, the eyes of the entire convoy were on me.
The whispering started immediately, a low murmur that quickly escalated into a loud buzz of disapproval.
was clear that my appearance had stirred up quite a bit of controversy.
The pan who had questioned me earlier stormed up to me, his face flushed with anger.
"What are you doing in Liza's racing suit?" he demanded. "You have no right to wear that."
Before I could respond, Gregor leaned in and whispered, "He's a fan of yours from back in the day. The people left in the basic club were all drawn to you before you went into hiding. He probably didn't recognize you." I glanced over at Narik, who was watching the scene unfold with a look of excited anticipation.
His eyes sparkled with eagerness.
It seemned he was looking forward to our race more than ever.
I took a deep breath, feeling the tightness of the racing suit around me.
"I'm ready," I said, pulling on my helmet.
I walked towards the car, the murmurs of the crowd growing louder behind me.
As I slid into the driver's seat, I could feel the familiar rush of adrenaline.
Narik who had already settled into his car, gave me a nod of acknowledgment.
The engines roared to life, and we were off.
The track was a blur of speed and color as we raced.
Narik was a formidable opponent, and the distance between our cars was minimal throughout the race.
Every turn, every manoeuvre was a tight contest.
We pushed our cars to the limit, each of us trying to gain a fraction of an advantage over the other.
The crowd was on edge, their cheers and gasps punctuating the air.
My teammates, who had been skeptical earlier, were now watching with bated breath.
Their faces transformed from disbelief to sheer excitement as they saw the race unfold.
The final corner approached, and the tension was palpable.
Narik, clearly anxious to secure the lead, made a slight mistake.
His car skidded just enough to give me the opening I needed.
With a surge of speed, 1 pulled ahead and crossed the finish line first.

The moment the race was over, the roar of the crowd was deafening.
My teammates, who had doubted me before, were now cheering loudly.

Chapter 122
The man who had questioned me earlier looked on with a mix of admiration and disbelief.
I climbed out of my car, feeling a rush of exhilaration.
The man who had challenged me came over, his expression a mix of grudging respect and chagrin.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice strained. "You've got a lot of power, but that doesn't mean you're qualified to wear Liza's racing suit."
I smiled, not revealing my true identity.
"Just wait and see," I said cryptically. I wanted him to keep wondering.
Narik approached me, his demeanour friendly and upbeat.
Congratulations," he said with a genuine smile. "You were fantastic out there. I'll definitely have to up my game if I want to beat you next time."
I shrugged, feeling a bit smug.
"You're not the only one who will be improving. I'll be working on my skills too."
In truth, I knew I hadn't raced perfectly.
It had been years since I'd last been behind the wheel, and I was a bit rusty.
My victory was partly due to Narik's mistake at the final corner, but I took pride in the fact that I had managed to compete fiercely.
As the evening wore on and the sky began to darken, the rounds of racing came to an end.
The team started to pack up, and I was preparing to leave when Narik called out to me.
"Hey, Liza!" he said, catching up to me. He looked a bit embarrassed but excited. "I was wondering if you're free this weekend. I'm looking to buy a new violin and could use some help picking it out. Would you like to come with me?" I raised an eyebrow, surprised by the invitation.
"Sure, I'd love to help. I've been wanting to buy something myself."
At that moment, my phone rang. It was Leo. I answered quickly.
"Hi, Leo. I'm at the Arena training ground."
Leo's voice sounded puzzled. "Why are you there?"
Before I could answer, Narik snatched the phone from my hand and spoke into it.
