After I Amazed the World the Cold Alpha Regretted -
AFTER I AMAZED 169
Chapter 169
I gave Leo a curious look, raising an eyebrow.
"Is this about the ten million? You're upset because of the money? Shouldn't you be happy to get that kind of wel?
He crossed his arms, eyes narrowing slightly.
"No, I'm mad," he replied, voice taut.
And when Leo said he was angry, it meant one thing-he wanted me to comfort him, to coax him into a better mood.
I wasn't the person I used to be.
The old me would've been quick to soothe his temper, but now? Not so much.
I just glanced out of the window, the car ride filled with his brooding silence, his handsome face set in a cold, hard expression
He was sulking, his jaw tight like he was holding back a storm.
It was almost amusing, but I didn't comment.
Tomorrow, there's a pack event that needs my presence, so tonight, Leo decided to bring me straight back to Silvermoon's house.
When we stepped inside, the TV was on, playing some random programme.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something familiar.
On the screen, I was there, wearing a flowing gown, sitting at the piano.
It was the show I recorded a few days ago. I heard it had decent ratings, but I didn't think much of it.
One of the omega servants gasped as she caught sight of the screen.
She turned her head to me, wide-eyed. "This woman looks just like you! So beautiful!"
I couldn't help but laugh softly. "That's me," I said, but before I could say more, Leo cut in.
"That's "my" Luna," he said, his voice filled with pride.
The other omegas, hearing that, rushed over to the TV, staring in disbelief.
"It really is Luna!" one of them exclaimed. "No wonder it looked so similar. You're amazing, Luna!"
I waved it off, a little embarrassed by their enthusiasm.
It was just a regular music show, nothing particularly challenging.
I did it more for fun than anything.
But the way they were all wide-eyed with amazement made me smile.
Meanwhile, Leo was watching the show like it was the most fascinating thing in the world, much more engaged than usual.
His serious expression while watching made me feel slightly self-conscious.
On the other side of things, Aria had also seen the programme.
Her eyes narrowed with jealousy.
"How does someone like her, from a small pack, get to be on TV?" she muttered, seething with resentment. "What makes her so special?" Frustrated, she turned off the TV, but the irritation didn't stop there.

After I Amazed the World, the Cold Alpha Regretted
Chapter 169
When she opened her phone, the first thing that popped up was news about a race featuring Liza-*me*.
Her anger flared again, and she couldn't help but sneer.
"Sorcia," she called, her voice dripping with malice, "this whole Liza thing-it's probably fake. Just some ploy by her team to create buzz and make her seem more important than she really is." Sorcia looked intrigued. "You think so?" she asked.
"I'm sure of it," Aria said firmly. "I bet it's all for show. Well expose her."
With that, the two of them quickly set their plan into motion, hiring mercenaries to flood the internet with rumors and accusations.
By afternoon, social media was buzzing with claims that Liza's identity as a racer was a fraud.
The story quickly spread, making it to the top trending topics on Twitter.
At the time, I was completely unaware of what was happening.
It wasn't until Daria called me that I found out.
When I first saw the news, my gut reaction was anger.
How could people twist the truth like that? It was absurd-*I* was Liza.
But after a few deep breaths, I calmed down.
There was no point in letting it get to me.
Soon after, Leo found out about the smear campaign.
He showed up at my place, worry etched across his face.
He didn't even give me time to greet him before blurting out, "Have you seen the news?" His tone was tentative, unsure of how I would react.
I nodded calmly. "Yeah, I've seen it," I replied.
His brow furrowed in surprise. "You don't seem upset."
I shrugged. "It's just noise, Leo. They're trying to stir things up. But I don't need to worry about it. It's all just talk."
He hesitated, then reached out to gently stroke my hair.
"I've already got my PR team working on damage control. We'll shut this down."
But I smiled, shaking my head.
"No need for that. Let them talk. Whether it's about piano or racing, neither is that popular in the grand scheme of things. This just gives me more attention-for free. If they keep this up, it'll make it easier for me to counter them in the future." 10:17
