The jeweler examined the ring with growing admiration.

"This is a truly exquisite piece," he declared, his voice filled with genuine awe.

As he held it up, the other staff gathered around, their eyes widening at its beauty.

Their surprised glances shifted to me, unspoken questions hanging in the air about why I was parting with such a treasure.

Are you sure you want to sell your wedding ring?" one of them asked, repeatedly confirming

I nodded. "Yes, I'm sure."

The clerks were quick to estimate the value, and I was surprised to replace that the ring was far more expensive than I had imagined. Collecting the money, I realized that Leo had been very generous with his money.

All the gifts and jewelry he gave me were top of the range and expensive.

The only thing he never gave me was love.

With the

money, I rented a house near the piano shop, ready to start a new life.

That night, unable to sleep, I turned on my lamp and began working on a new song at my

desk.
