Chapter 91 Chapter

Her fists clenched at her sides, and for a brief moment, I thought she might try to separate us,

But she hesitated, knowing that the professional photographer she had hired was filming the entire event, and that the Dean and the children were watching closely.

The scandal from the piano competition had already done significant damage to her reputation and that of her pack.

If she lost control now, it would only make things worse,

Forcing a strained smile, Aria finally said, "Then... it was my misunderstanding,"

Her voice was tight, barely masking the bitterness that simmered beneath the surface,

Leo didn't bother with further pleasantries.

He turned to me and said, "Let's take care of the donation and get out of here."

Nodding, I instructed the people who had accompanied us to bring the toys and clothes from the car.

As they distributed the items to the children, their joy was palpable.

They gathered around me, their eyes wide with excitement as they received their gifts.

On the other side of the room, the children who had been with Aria were less fortunate.

They were still putting on a show, singing and dancing for her, all while showering her with praise that she barely acknowledged.

Once everything was settled, I excused myself to the bathroom.

As I approached, I heard a familiar voice echoing through the space.

It was Aria, and she was on the phone.

"Uncle Andrew, the luxury jewelry brand Rica International in your pack-how come you chose Elizabeth as the face? You've always been a high-end brand, picking a she-wolf out of a small pack as the face of the brand-isn't it self-destructive?" Her tone was laced with frustration and disdain.

There was a brief pause before Andrew responded.

"Although I can't stand that woman, the effect of her endorsement is beyond expectation. The goods in the shops have been selling out recently."

Aria was silent for a moment before she scoffed.

"That's because your company's product itself is good. It doesn't have much to do with her, right?"

Andrew's voice remained calm.

"It has everything to do with her. In the past, we used celebrity endorsements, but the results weren't as good. I suppose it helps that she recently won the piano competition. Her fans have considerable purchasing power and fit our brand's target demographic." Aria was clearly unhappy with this explanation.

After another pause, she asked, her voice tinged with malice, "So, Uncle Andrew, do you want her to remarry Leo?"

Andrew's voice echoed coldly through the bathroom.

"She's not even close to the Luna of Silvermoon I have in mind. Leo needs more powerful mate."

Aria, always eager to grasp at the slightest chance of approval, asked tentatively. "And who is the Luna of the Silvermoon that Andrew has in mind?"

Standing just outside the bathroom, I couldn't help but sneer.

Aria's iggbrance was almost pitiable.

She didn't understand Andrew, not really,

He was a man obsessed with his reputation, a man who would discard anyone if they threatened his carefully constructed image.

The scandal Aria had recently caused had damaged her standing, and without the backing of the Oceanheart Tribe bringing Andrew substantial benefits, she was nothing more than a liability,

Sure enough, Andrew's response was as sharp as a blade,

"Aria, you're young and beautiful. There are plenty of male wolves who adore you. You don't need to follow Leo around every day."

The silence that followed was heavy, almost suffocating.

there was a muffled sound, and I guessed that Aria had ended the call abruptly, unable to bear the sting of Andrew's dismissal. Moments later, the bathroom door swung open, and there she was, face-to-face with me. Her eyes widened slightly, then narrowed in anger.

I could see the storm brewing inside her, a storm she was foolishly eager to unleash.

"So, you were eavesdropping," she accused, her voice laced with venom.

1 shrugged nonchalantly, letting a smirk curl my lips.

"Hard not to, considering how loudly you were whining about your pathetic situation."

"How dare you speak to me like that?"

Loxia's face reddened with anger, her eyes glowing with malice, "Have you already forgotten what you used to go through here when you were in school?"

She took a threatening step toward me, reached out her hand and tried to grab my hair and slam my head against the sink.

But she didn't get the chance to finish.

I had changed, and not just in a superficial way.

I had trained, endured, and emerged stronger.

I wasn't the same Elizabeth she could push around like she used to.

Before she could react, I grabbed her wrist, twisting it just enough to make her wince.

In one swift motion, I pushed her toward the sink, forcing her head down into the basin.
