Chapter 23 Childish

"How dare you!"

Sharon's expression changed. She wanted to say something else, but Leah didn't even give her a chance to speak. She coldly gave Sharon a side-eye before turning around and leaving the place.

Leah's attitude had infuriated Sharon. She bit her lips and glared at Leah's back, her expression darkened.

Then she saw the necklace hanging around her neck out of the corner of her eye, and an idea suddenly formed in her mind.

Sharon rolled her eyes. She first took off the necklace around her neck, ran toward Leah, and then bumped her shoulders.

Before Leah could react, Sharon had been uttering apologies next to her ear.

"I'm sorry, Miss Wilson, I didn't mean it. You have a big heart, so you won't fuss with me about it, will you? I still have guests waiting for me in the hall, so I will entertain them first."

Before Leah could say anything, Sharon had already run away.

She rolled her eyes in disbelief and secretly swore, "How childish!"

Meanwhile, Sharon glanced around the hall twice before finally replaceing Quentin who stood out among the crowd.

She trotted over and called him out softly, "I'm sorry, Quentin, but my dad was calling me over just now, so I didn't wait for you at the door. You won't blame me, will you?"

As she spoke, she reached out to hook her arm around Quentin's arm.

Catching her movement out of the corner of his eye, Quentin swiftly evaded it and responded impassively, "It's fine."

Sharon had long been used to Quentin being like this, so she didn't take it to heart and calmly withdrew her hand.

"If I remember correctly, you said you wanted to discuss cooperation with Miss Wilson from Lia Jewellery, right? Have you met her?"

Upon the mention of this, Quentin frowned and said, "No."

As he said that, he looked at Eli beside him and said, "Eli, go and ask the head security guard to come over. I want to ask him about the situation."

"Yes," Eli responded and quickly called the head security guard over.

When the head security guard saw Quentin and Sharon, he greeted them respectfully, "Mr. Worthington. Miss Foster."

Quentin said, "I asked you before to help me keep an eye on Miss Wilson from Lia Jewellery and to tell me as soon as she came. What about now? Is Miss Wilson here?"

The head security guard smacked

his head as if he just remembered

about it. He said, "Miss Wilson came in with her assistant just now. But busy patrolling, so I didn't have time to tell you. By the way, Miss Wilson is wearing a blue dress. You haven't met her yet?"

"A blue dress..." Quentin muttered.

Now, he had a rough target in mind, but there were too many women in blue dress at the venue, and he didn't know who exactly Miss Wilson was.

His expression turned gloomy, and then he looked at the head security guard in front of him and said coldly, "Why are you not replaceing her now?"

The head security guard nodded quickly. "All right, Mr. Worthington. I'll go replace her right away."

After listening to them, Sharon

proactively suggested, "Quentin,

since Miss Wilson is also an

it'll be very easy. I will try to

approach her later. Once you'v established a good relationship with her who knows, maybe she could be a great help for you in the future."

Quentin had no objection to this, but in order to successfully replace Quintina, who was hiding in Lia Jewellery, he still needed to remind Sharon.

He leaned closer and spoke next to

her ear. "When you meet Miss Wilson later, femember to be

cautious, don't let your guard down, and don'do something that makes her uncomfortable. Although Lia Jewellery is only a small design company, it is able to survive in this highly competitive design industry. Moreover, the person in charge is a Wilson, so there is a possibility that the Wilson family is backing them."
