Chapter 67 Noisy

A sly little fox she was, wearing that mischievous smile on her face.

Quentin knew that it was intentional on her part, but seeing her like that, he couldn't bring himself to blame her.

"It's... fine." As casual as his reply was, he was actually seething.

"I knew it. A magnanimous person like you wouldn't hold it against me," Leah said with a smile. "Oh, by the way, I want to thank you for your strong support today, which helped make the auction a success. I hope you can be just as enthusiastic the next time we meet."

After that, she lifted the hem of her dress and gracefully left.

Quentin watched her departing figure, his expression unfathomable.

"Quentin, are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital, or should I apply some medicine for you when we get back?" Sharon looked at Quentin's foot, which had been stepped on by Leah, with a concerned expression.

Quentin avoided when she reached her hand out and responded coldly, "I'm fine."

Sharon's body stiffened slightly, and she was sulking when she withdrew her hand.

In the car, Sharon continued to express her concern for Quentin, and Maria added fuel to the fire.

However, despite their efforts, Quentin remained unresponsive.

Frustrated, Sharon bit her lip and increased the urgency in her tone as she called out to him.

"Quentin..."

Before she could say anything more, Quentin interrupted her aloofly.

"Can you please calm down? You're making a lot of noise."

Maria didn't dare to speak and gave Sharon an instinctive glance.

Despite Quentin's rebuke, Sharon's expression remained gentle.

"I'm sorry, Quentin. I'm just so worried about your condition that I didn't consider that you've also had a long day. Please rest well now, and we won't disturb you."

Although she said that, her hands were clenched into fists at her side. Her fingernails dug deep into her flesh, leaving dents in the flesh of her palms. "Okay."

Quentin slowly closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat to rest.

Although he wanted to rest, for some reason, the image of Leah in a red dress and smiling happily floated into his mind suddenly.

As soon as Leah entered the living room of the Wilson Manor, she met the concerned gazes of her parents.

"Mom, Dad, why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

Laura stood up and took Leah's arm,

leading her to sit down on the sofa. She observed Leah's expression closely and asked with great concern, "I heard that Quentin and that third-rate actress were also at the charity auction today. Did they cause any trouble for you?"

Leah didn't want her mother to worry too much. Thus, she had hidden her interactions with Quentin from her mother ever since her divorce. Still, Laura managed to replace out about it somehow.

"Mom, I've told you before, I've let go

of it all. Now you and Dad are the most important people to me. Besides, was the organizer of the charityauction. In my own territory, I'm the one who bullies others. No one can bully me!"

Seeing the confidence on Leah's face, Laura felt reassured.

"You're absolutely right. We never seek trouble, but if anyone dares to mess with us, we must retaliate a thousandfold. We can't be pushovers."

Kaden nodded in agreement. "Your

mother's right. No matter where we go in the future, we shouldn't be afraid of trouble. Even if the sky falls, you have me and your three brothers to support you."
