Chapter 91

Zayn didn't reply immediately. His gaze slowly swept from Skyler's tear-streaked face and ultimately settled on Aaron's face. The little boy was tense his small shoulders occasionally trembled.

Zayn knew Aaron was probably terrified of facing death. Whether adult or child, as long as they were alive, the desire to live would prevail.

Aaron was just three-and-a-half years old, but he seemed different from most children of his age.

Faced with the threat of death, other children would have been hysterical, shouting and crying. Yet, Aaron remained surprisingly calm.

He simply stared unwaveringly at Willow, with affection and deep concern in his eyes.

Even though Zayn was certain Aaron wasn't his child, he still felt immense pity for him when he met his gaze.

How could there be such a sweet child in this world? He wasn't afraid of falling off the cliff, but he feared that his mother would be sad.

Zayn instinctively reached out, wanting to pull Aaron back from the cliff edge. But just as his hand was raised midair, he realized what he was doing.

He withdrew his hand sharply. Now, it wasn't just a matter of Aaron's life or death. It also involved Skyler's fate. He couldn't afford to let his emotions run wild.

"Zayn, I'm begging you. Please save Aaron. I'm not lying to you or trying to scare you. If anything happens to Aaron, you'll regret it for the rest of your life! Zayn, please, I'm begging you!" Willow continued to knock her head against the ground forcefully. Her face was now covered in blood. Even so, Zayn could still clearly see the pain, despair, and helplessness on her face.

His chest tightened. Zayn almost couldn't control the urge to pull her into his arms. However, remembering how Skyler had sacrificed so much to save. him, he forced himself to remain cold-hearted toward Willow. "Willow, I can't let anything happen to Skyler."

Willow lifted her face, stunned. She even forgot to continue pleading with him. In the end, no matter how she pleaded, Skyler would always come first in his heart. Deep down, she knew that

But even so, she didn't want anything to happen to Aaron.

Willow turned her face toward Jett, pleading, "You can take me and kill me, but please spare Aaron! Please, don't hurt my son!"

"Willow, we don't care about your life. Jett's voice filled Willow's broken heart with overwhelming despair.

Without looking at Willow, he coldly ordered, "Since Mr. Carter has made his choice, what are you waiting for? Get rid of that brat!"

"No!" Willow screamed hysterically. She was desperate to grab her Aaron back, but two burly men held her shoulders tightly, keeping her from reaching

him

"Mom, don't cry." Although Aaron's eyes were red-rimmed, tears never fell. He tried to smile, showing his usual cheerful face. "Mom, don't cry. I don't like it when you cry.
