Alpha Adryan
forty seven

"Well, how long before she wakes up? It's already been..." the voicecontinues speaking, but all Jade could feel was how her head hurt, likesomeone was constantly hitting her head with a hammer.

She feels her hands twitch first, and slowly she opens her eyes, theblinding lights were the first thing to assault her eye sight, she closesthem for a moment and opens them back, letting it adjust to thelighting. She instantly realized that she was in the pack infirmary, thesmell of disinfectant entering her senses right away. She starts to situpright on the bed, when a pair of hands help her, placing their handson her back, she didn't feel tingles of any form letting her know that itwasn't Adryan. Her eyes meet a pair of honey colored ones

"Arther” she says, a small smile spreads on his face.

"Hey Green" he replies back, his nickname for her brings tears to hereyes, how long has it been since she'd heard that name, she used tohate it when he used to call her that, Arther knew how much she hatedthat nickname, she thought it was stupid, it was obvious that he wascalling her green because of her eye color, which he said he loved togaze into. But now she was relieved to hear him call her that.

"I've missed you" she said looking up at him, her eyes glistening withunshed tears. Arther's form moves towards her. His arms coming towrap around her in a hug.

"I know, I missed you too, Green." he says, his face buried in her hair.Jade felt the familiar scent of musk and rain entering her senses, sherelished in the familiarity and warmth of him.

He pulls back from the hug, his fingers moving rogue pieces of hairfrom her face.

"How long was I out for?" She asks him with her brows furrowed.

"Two days...you know what happens when you don't have enoughpower to do magic, Jade" he trails off. Arther only ever used her namewhen he was serious, both him and herself knew that her using hermagic when she hasn't been practicing takes a toll on her body. Shecould be in coma if it went a bit too far for her body. Her body wastrying to protect itself by shutting down. Being a hybrid not onlybrought some benefits but some disadvantage too...

"What were you doing near the borders?" She asks him once sheremembers about the events from two days ago. Arther looks awayfrom her questioning gaze, he clears his throat.

"I was searching for you.” he says, meeting her eyes, to let her knowthat he was speaking the truth.

"You were searching for me?" she asks him with confusion.

He nods his head at her question, "I first saw you when you were inWinston, it was the day before you were taken by him" his voice turningto one of dislike when he talks about Adryan, like mentioning him left abad taste in his mouth. "At first I didn't have the guts to face you, I washesitant to approach you after everything that happened with ourpack...” pain flashes through his face as if remembering what happenedto the pack, Jade gulps trying to push down the emotions that so badlywanted to resurface "I didn't want to scare you, the second time aroundwhen I gained enough confidence to approach you, when I visited thecafé the next day, it didn't feel right, something was off. I'd found a fewpack wolves lingering around the café, at first I thought they were therefor me, but they all had their sights set on you, but they didn't doanything to you, I even followed you back to your house, and aroundmidnight I felt their presence, him along with his warriors, he took youwith him. I needed to make sure you were okay, so naturally I followedthe cars in my wolf form and came across The Blood Moon Pack. I'vebeen scouting around the area for a few weeks now, trying to somehowconnect to you, that was when I came across the rogue.” he trails off,his eyes holding a faraway look in them.

Jade's hand comes to rest atop his, bringing his attention back to thepresent, he sighs and sits on the chair placed beside her bed, which shehadn't noticed at first.

"You killed that rogue?!" She asks him even though she knew theanswer to that.

"Yes, I did. I had to" he says, he pauses for a few seconds contemplatingwhere to tell her his next words "There was something strange with it, itwas more rabid, more animal than any rogue should be, It was powerfuleven though it didn't smell like an Alpha, I just barely escaped andcame out alive myself, I had to hide out and let myself heal for a weekfrom all the injuries I sustained fighting it.” He lifts up his t-shirt to showthe scars, one of them appeared to have cut deeper than the other.Jade cringes looking at his scar, it looked like it might've hurt a lot.Whatever was happening wasn't anything normal, there was somethinggoing on and Adryan seemed to know what it is, since he was so hell-bent on questioning Arther when his guards had caught him.

"You need to tell Adryan about this.” She says, and then her face turnsto one of confusion.

"Adryan?” she questions. "Where is he?" She couldn't even detect hisscent in the air, it was almost like he never visited her even once sinceshe'd been unconscious.

Arther looks at her with something along pity in his eyes, "he didn'tvisit." he says.

"He didn't?" Jade couldn't help the feeling of disappointment that hither, no matter what she tried to tell her she couldn't help the feeling, she wondered he hadn't visited because of what happened betweenthem, of what she had said.

Before she could dwell more in her thoughts, the door to her roomopens, and she's hit with the scent of apples enter her nostrils. Shewatched as violet poked her head in, her eyes brightening when hereyes found Jade's green ones. She enters, and Jade's eyes immediatelymoves to the figure that was clutching Violet's pants and hiding behindit. When a pair of ocean blue eyes found hers, his eyes widens, and heleaves Violet's side, dashing towards the bed Jade was in. Adonis'ssmall frame trying to climb the bed but failing to do so due to theheight of the bed frame, Arther gets up to help Adonis climb, once hewas on the bed, he throws himself onto her awaiting arms, his handscircling her neck in a wise grip, a wide smile spreading on her face. Kirawatching from the back of her mind in content, nuzzling her pup.Jade's eyes meeting Violet's hazel ones, she mouths a “thank you’ toher, she knew Violet had taken care of him when Jade was unconscious.
