Alpha Dominic
Chapter 131

Dominic's

POV

"Where are we on the search for the Alphas?" I let out in a hoarse tone. I am so furious and I am not about to hide my anger and pretend that everything is fine with me when it obviously isn't. Bethany left me, she f*****g left. She left with her friends, she left this Castle without looking back and it hurt me because I thought we were way past all this, I thought we were beginning to understand each other, but she just isn't ready to listen to me anymore. I think she is giving up on her people, I think she is abandoning her

duties as a Luna and a queen.

"Are you sure you want to get into this right now?" Carl asked me coming to stand beside me.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I retorted.

"Look man, I'm sorry she left the way she did. I know Bethany and I know how she tends to make silly decisions if she is angry. Trust me, she will soon come back to her senses and come back home to you. She loves you deeply, I can see it in her eyes, you just need to give her a break like she asked for, give her some time, I'm sure she will come around. But in the meantime, I think you need a break as well. I'm not an expert on breakups, but I know it's got to hurt a lot. You don't have to bury your feelings within you, you don't need to delve into work just to forget about her. You can take some time off if you want to, as a matter of fact, I think you definitely need to take some time off to clear your thought. Nobody would hold it against you if you took some time off to take care of your personal affairs. We got you, man, we totally understand." He explained calmly, clasping my shoulders firmly while smiling at me like a f*****g i***t. For f***s sake I'm not some charity case, and I don't need anybody's sympathy, especially not his. "First of all, Carl, you have no right to tell me how to feel right now because you have no f*****g idea what it feels like. Secondly, you don't tell me how to run my affairs in this palace. This is my kingdom and I am the king of all wolves so I get to make the rules, I get to decide what to do and when to do it. And right now, I want you to just mind your f*****g business and tell me how far you've gone in tracking down the Alphas?" I yelled in his face, making him roll his eyes at me.

"I was only looking out for you, Dom. I am not actually in a good place with Harriet right now. She just lost her father and her best friend just ran away because of you, so she is taking her anger out on me. But I don't let it get to me, Dom, I know that she is only going through a phase and I'm certain that she would get through it because she is my mate and I won't let anything come between us. Dwayne is also missing Fiona because she left with Bethany as well. But you don't see us acting like assholes. You need to get a grip, man. She is going to come around sooner or later." He told me once more, making me even more angrier.

"I asked you to f**k off Carl." I yelled out loudly, attracting the attention of the other generals in the room.

"Fine, keep being grumpy, you asshole." He let out angrily before turning to leave the room. I heaved a sigh of relief as he left, but he was back in a few minutes, telling me that Bethany needed his help with Ciara. I felt the anger within me rising by the minute. I can't believe that she is going through something like that but she chose to call him instead of reaching out to me. She must be really serious about this breakup of a thing, is that how much she hates me?

I stood by the side and let him handle it. Since she doesn't want to talk to me, then I'll keep my distance and give her the space she wants. I would have gladly stayed away from her affairs, but I caught a glimpse of Ciara through the screen in my office that I use to monitor the camera. Her eyes were glowing brightly, it shone a deep red, just the way it was shining at the restaurant the other day. I think it is even shining more than it was the other day, she looks like a ticking time bomb. Bethany cannot contain her situation in case things go wrong, she is too strong and powerful, even for Marco Lorenzo and his boys. I had to come in and help Carl because she wanted to see him in pain. She is a f*****g nutcase and what she needs now is careful monitoring and not a vacation. She was sedated with a strong potion that would knock out a vampire or a werewolf but it did not knock her out, she still managed to stay awake, despite the fact that doctor Fred upped her dosage before giving the potions to Bethany. She has a double dosage of a sedative that works on all supernatural creatures on this planet.

I did everything I could to remedy the situation, despite the fact that she never asked me for anything and she never even said a word of thanks to me after I helped her friend to sleep. I did not wait to hear her thanks anyway, I just left her to Carl and I went back to my meeting to finish up what I started. I can't go weak simply because Bethany chose to leave me, I have a war to win and that is what I will focus on. She can go to hell for all I care, if she thinks ill come running after her and begging her to come back to me, then she has to think. I am not a teenager that loves like a fool, I have responsibilities and I'm going to focus on this war.

I split my guys into groups and I shared the list of safehouses that I got from Fabius and Bianca. They gave me a few addresses that King Ashford uses as a safehouse. I know that Alpha Robert Delaney is working with Ashford, so I'm pretty sure that the Alphas will be taking refuge in one of his warehouses. All we had to do is to replace out which of the safe houses that they were using as their hideout. I'm pretty sure that if we can replace the Alphas, we can stop whatever they are planning next. I can get revenge for Alpha Richard and I'm going to torture them until they give up his present location. If only I would stumble upon him in one of these safe houses, I will not hesitate to rip his heart from his chest. That guy deserves no mercy from me or anyone else for that matter, and when I finally catch up with him, he will get no mercy. We kept going to all his safehouses, searching for king Ashford or his allies.

He placed some lycans In some of his safehouses, but we took them all out. Since we couldn't replace king Ashford or the Alphas, we decided to take out anyone we could lay our hands on. At least we would be reducing the number of his warriors, this way we would even the battlefield when we finally meet him in war. I guess this is all I can do right now because I have nothing and no one to distract me from this mission. I think it's a good thing that she left me, now I have nothing else to do but to focus all my strength and energy on this war. Harriet tried to convince me to let her into the field because she is tired of sitting at home, moaning about the death of her father. I think she misses Bethany as well but she refused to mention anything about her to me, she only wants to be allowed to go into the field but I couldn't let her come along with us. Carl would kill me if I let her go into this field, I just had a fight with him earlier today, and I do not want to get him even more pissed than he already is. Besides, I can see the huge bag under her eyes and I know that her mom needs her by her side now more than ever. So I politely declined her request and had her stay back to keep things in order at the castle.

I led my group while Carl and Dwayne led two other groups, then after splitting the list into three, we all set out to the safehouses and we took out everyone we met at any building we walked into. I don't know if it is because of this war, or maybe I am still angry that Bethany left, but I went out with my boys and I poured my rage out on everyone we come across. I killed so many Lycans that I lost count and when I got back to the castle, I felt better, way better. I finally understood why it made Ciara so happy and relieved. She felt way better when that bastard was in pain. She had only been able to fall asleep when she confirmed that he is still tied up in my dungeon and he is still paying dearly for what he did to her.

In my case, I felt better when I took the lives of those lycans, their pains brought me some relief and I'm sure that I would feel even more relieved when I finally rip off the head of King Ashford. When that happens, then I can sleep off peacefully, just like Ciara. But right now, I need to put a few things in order around my borders because, in two days, I would be going to the big city to meet up with Marco Lorenzo.

I just hope that Bethany and her friends d not mess this meeting up for me because I would hold her personally responsible for it and I won't forgive her.
