Alpha Dominic
Chapter 39

Bethany's

POV

I'm going to kill Dominic.

I'll f*****g kill that guy.

He walked away, not sparing me a second glance. He just turned around and walked away, leaving me standing in the hallway, barely naked. I thought I had him, I thought he has forgiven me, gosh, I thought he would take me to bed and pleasure me until my eyes

roll back into my head, but he only wanted to t*****e me, he wanted to prove to me that he is still in control and that I have no power over him. How on earth did I end up with such a strong-headed, ruthless mate? Harriet came out a few minutes after he left and I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw her. It's either she's a psychic or she has perfect timing, in any case, I'm super excited to see her, I would hate to be seen by anyone else in this condition, it would be so f*****g embarrassing. She dragged me with her, taking me to room close to where I'm standing. It turns out to be their room, hers and Carl's. Their room is so beautiful and spacious, not as spacious as the kings room, but it is very spacious and cute. The walls are painted with grey and, the ties are sparkling white and the couch and curtains are a dark brown color. They had a huge flat-screen TV hanging above the fireplace. I think it suits both their style and even if she stole my boyfriend, I think I'm beginning to like her. She was so pissed off at him for doing this to me, I could feel the anger seeping out of her in great waves as she paces the room angrily. She looks so cute when she's angry and I almost giggled out loudly as I watched her pacing the room. I could just imaging the looks she would be throwing his way if he was here right now, I do how she doesn't transfer this anger to Carl, this ain't his fault on bit, although, I'm sure he could talk some sense into Dominic. If there is one thing he is good at, it's talking sense into someone's head, like he did when he had convinced me to run away from our pack. It's like his very own superpower, added to his good looks, it makes him awesome, very attractive.

But I can't put my hope on him, I know he won't help me now, he doesn't even want to set his eyes on me right now, he is still pissed off at me for having dealing with King Ashford. I really don't blame him, if I were in his shoes, I'll be furious as well. He thinks I wanted him dead, he saw those messages where I accepted to take out all of kings Dominic's generals and that includes him as well. He thinks I was going to do it, that's why he's so pissed, I wish he could let me explain all this to him. But I haven't gotten a chance yet, so right no, am not expecting any help from him, none at all.

"Do you still want to go down for dinner?" Harriet asked me, snapping me from my thoughts.

"Nah, I think I've done enough work for tonight, I'll just let him be for now." I responded calmly, grabbing the shirt that she handed over to me. I need something to show to him, something that would prove to him that I'm not trying to betray or kill him anymore. I'm just try and talk with King Ashford, ill try and coarse him to show me the mole that he had used to sneak those weapons to me, if I can get him to trust me, I'll be able to get more information about his secret operations and I could use those information to get back with Dominic. He wouldn't turn me down when he replaces out that I'm trying to help him out, would he?

Well, there is only one way to replace out, I'll need to talk with King Ashford first, I'm sure he doesn't know about my relationship with Dominic, if he knows about relationship with Dom, that would only mean that the mole Is right here amongst us and he is way closer than we all thought.

"I'm heading back to my room, I need to speak with King Ashford and see if he would give me a clue on how to replace the mole, I'm hoping he still trusts me enough to share sensitive information with me." I muttered softly.

"I'll go with you, and we could have dinner together. I'll get the omega's to serve us dinner in your room, I could help you...

She was about to say something to me when the door pushed open and Carl walked right in, shutting the door after him before tuning to stroll in. He took one look at Harriet before turning to glare at me. Damn, if eyes could kill, I'll be six feet under already. He said at the same spot, glaring daggers at me, then he stomped forward, walking past us without acknowledging our presence. He ignored us and walked to the drawer by the bed, he pulled it open and took out a file, then he stomped out of the room, acting like we were never even there.

"Don't sweat it, he'll get over it pretty soon. It would take some time, but trust me, he can't stay mad at you forever." Harriet comforted me when he left. I don't know how much longer I can take this, it's just so hard to watch them action like I'm freaking invisible, treating me like I don't exist. I sighed deeply as I walked out of the room, going back to my room. I picked up the shredded clothes on my way back, I don't want anyone asking any questions.

"I was thinking Beth, why don't you tell king Ashford that you have succeeded in poisoning one of the kings generals. From what I've heard of King Ashford, I don't think he would want to work with you again if he replaces out that you got caught before you even got a chance to use the serum he gave you. I would suggest you tell him that you succeeded in poisoning two of the kings generals. I could help you arrange that," she told me.

"Yeah, that would never work without the kings permission. There is no way I could fake it, the mole may be one of the kings generals, he would certainly be aware of it. If king Ashford replaces out that I am trying to deceive him, he could get me assassinated. As much as I would love to replace the real moles and exonerate myself, I really do not want to die, not yet." I told her.

"Relax Bethany, I won't have suggested that if I didn't have a plan. We could use king Dominic's serum to make them pass out. We only need to talk to doctor Fred, he could pass it off as King Ashford's poisonous serum, he could make everyone believe that they are dead, meanwhile, we would move them to a secret location and keep them there until we replace the mole."

"And how do we convince them to stay hidden until we replace the moles, they would never agree to it. But I've got a better idea, and it doesn't have to be so hard. We could simply use king Dominic's serum and get two generals to pass out in the dining. While they are still trying to figure out the serum that was used, I could get in touch with King Ashford and tell him that I've succeeded in taking out two generals from king Dominic's Castle. If it's later discovered that the generals are alive, I could always claim to have mixed it all up, I could make him believe that it's all a terrible mistake. All we have to do is to tell the doctor to delay in giving any information about their illness or death until I get in touch with King Dominic."

She love my idea and we agreed to get it done tonight after dinner. She confirmed to me that king Dominic and his generals would be having a meeting after dinner tonight. We only have to sneak in the serum into their drinks, that way they would pass out in the meeting. As General, Harriet would be there as well, so she volunteered to help me get it done. She would look for a perfect opportunity to add the serum into their drinks. I stayed back in my room, waiting for her signal so I could place a call to king Ashford. She strolled to my box and got out two tiny bottles that contains king Dominic's serum, hiding it in her jacket. I sat in my room waiting for her call to come in. While I waited, I decided to watch some of my favorite shows on TV. It's been only a week since I got here, bit it seems like it's been months already. In two days the girls would be leaving this castle, but ill be staying behind to try and sort things out with Dominic. The moon goddess must have a reason for bringing us together as mates. I can't even believe that I'm going to be with him, I can't believe that I've finally accepted my fate and I'm going to be his mate, but I just can't help it, I've fallen hopelessly in love with him. My family are no more, and even if it's all his fault, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it, I just have to move on with my life.

I saw the light blinking on my phone, alerting me to Harriet's call. This is the signal we agreed on, it meant that she had succeeded in adding the potion into their drinks and they have taken the tainted drinks, Perfect. Everything is going according to plans. I ignore the phone, I simply picked up my other phone and dialed king Ashford's phone number.

"Speak," he ordered me when he picked up the phone, sounding so pissed. I wonder if anyone had gotten him upset before he came out here, I hope it doesn't affect his response to what I'm about to tell him, I've worked so hard for this and I've taken so serious risk here, I even got Harriet involved, putting her life at risk also. I would hate for all that to go to waste simply because someone happens to be in a bad mood when I called him for further instructions.

"I got it done my king, I slipped a potion into the drinks of two of Dominic's generals. They are lying dead in the meeting room right now." I told him, trying my best not to stutter, trying to keep my tone steady and calm.

"Hold on for confirmation," he responded abruptly, hanging up on me. I think he is going to try and contact his mole so he/she could confirm if I'm telling the truth. I got my phone and run out of my room, running down to the kings meeting room. The mole would be there right now, King Ashford must have called him to confirm my report, he would either be taking pictures or sending a message that would confirm my report. If I hide in a good position, I could get a glimpse of the room and I could see everything happening in there. I could take a picture or a video, it would help us narrow down our search, it could make it easier for us to replace the mole and he would be able to confirm my innocence and point out the other moles working with King Ashford.

I ran as fast as I could, I can't let them leave the room before I get there. I was so close to the meeting room, I only had to take the last turn and then run down the hall, I could replace a hiding place where I could see everything happening in the meeting room. I bumped into someone, just at the last curve and we both fell down on the floor, with me panting so hard from running too fast.

"We really have to stop meeting like this," I heard Graciela's voice. I looked up to replace her scrunching her face in pain, looking so worn out and tired. Gosh, I can't remember the last time I'd checked up on her, I've been so busy handling my own issues and I've totally forgotten all about her and her sisters. Everything is just happening so fast, I've lost track of time and I've not had time to check on her and replace out if she has heard from her mum.

"I'm so sorry Ella, what the hell are you doing here and why are you so pale?

Wait a minute, have you been using again?

Come on Graciela, you promised you'd stop using, you promised me, remember, why the f**k wouldn't you just stop. I've got a lot on my plate, believe me, you don't want to know what I'm facing right now. When did you start using again and how the hell did you get hard drugs in this Castle?" I asked in a pissed tone, helping her u the floor. I kept glancing down the hall, I need to go to that meeting room and confirm if the mole is in there, but I can't leave her here, not when she's looking like w freaking ghost.

"Look, Graciela, I need to run along right now, there is something important that I need to take care of. I promise, I'll be right back to meet you right here, it's only going to take a few minutes. You can wait for me right here, or if you like, you can wait for me in you room." I said in a hurried tone, turning to leave, but her next words made me pause in shock as I turned to gaze at her,

"Don't bother checking on me Beth, I'm leaving this Castle in a few hours anyway. Just go on, go take care of the very important things you have to do. I can take care of myself." She said with a sad smile, making me feel even more guilty as I stood on the spot gazing at her, guilt written all over my face.
