Lorena

POV

My eyelids felt heavy as I struggled to keep my eyes open. I couldn't even breathe perfectly. It was as if someone was choking me. I tried to raise my hand but it felt stuck. "What is happening to me?" I wanted to shout that aloud so that people who were around me would hear and help me from whatever place I was stuck. I struggled to open my eyes after a moment and saw a blinding light. It was so bright that I closed my eyes and opened them again to adjust to the lighting. The smell of bleach was pungent and I had to scrunch my nose for a few seconds until I could finally breathe. I tried raising my hand I was able to.

"Where I'm I?" I asked myself because the last thing I remembered was getting hit by Madam and his Minions. "How did I survive?" I let my eyes roam around the room and noticed a body resting on the couch. His eyes were closed and he was snoring out loud. "Who is he?" I stared at him closely and raised my head. He was not Fenrir and not someone that I knew. I slowly climbed out of the bed moaning in deep pain when It felt like my back was on fire. "Ouch!" I screamed out loud as my feet made contact with the cold marble floor. No one needed to tell me that I was in the hospital again.

"What's going on!" The man on the couch jumped up to his feet and headed toward me. "Are you alright?" He asked and when I took a closer look at him, I realized that he was the king's Beta. "Why are you on your feet when you should be playing down!" "And who the hell are you to tell me what to do huh?" I frowned and he stared at me. "Don't give me that look," I told him.

"The king asked me to take care of you and that is exactly what I am going to do," he said and walked towards me.

"You can tell the king to suck his dick!" I shouted at him. Who the hell does he think he is to lecture me about what to do? Anything involving the king was something I don't plan on hearing. The King was the one who made all humans suffer and put them in great danger. He was the one who made their lives unbearable and because of his stupid rule, I had to be treated like some slave.

"Now I see that you are who they say you are exactly. This is why humans are so hard to trust! The King had to out a great meeting because of you. He stopped the meeting to make sure you were saved and you....." He pointed his fingers at me. "I don't even know why he'll go to such an extent to save someone like you!"

That's hit me pretty hard. It was stuck in my chest like an arrow and it made me wonder if what I had said was a bad thing. I was right about the king being a jerk head. He was the reason why I was hit in the first place so his Beta had no guts whatsoever to insult me. "What the hell are you even saying?" I asked him.

"If you want to live your life as a slave then you are welcome to do so!" He shouted at me. "The king has never placed his priority on anyone before but he made time for you!"

"I don't want any of that!" I yelled at him. "Stop acting as if your king is a good person. He is responsible for every human's suffering!" I blinked the tears away when I remembered my parent who had to die because of the king's pathetic rule. He was responsible for their death and I was never going to forget that.

"Have you ever wondered why the humans are slaves now?" He asked me but I couldn't even understand why. All I know is that no matter what the humans were like in the past, Fenrir shouldn't have made them slaves because it ruined the lives of every human. "Before you start blaming the king, you should know that no one wanted this in the first place. You, humans, are the cruel creature who started the stupid rule and make life unbearable for us all!"

As soon as he finished talking, he sat down on the couch and crossed his legs. I couldn't say a thing as I was at a loss for words about what to say to him. He was right at some point but I couldn't bring myself to think about the huge crime that made Fenrir hate the humans and changed their lives. It was hard to wrap my fingers around it and I could never imagine why.

"Where is the king right now? Maybe I can ask him why he chose to treat the humans like this!"

"Knowing about that could be traumatizing. Have a change of heart already and maybe you could be pardoned by the king for your attitude."

"I didn't do anything wrong!" I tried to justify myself to make him see that I wasn't a bad person.

"A change of attitude would make you go far and if I were to be the king then I would have sent you to another master who would train you and make sure you learned your lesson.

I had wanted to reply to him but the door leading to the room was opened wide and Fenrir entered in all his sexiness. He must have heard all of our conversations and concluded.

Was he going to take me to another master? I thought he wanted me around. Knowing that I wouldn't be close to him or even get my revenge on him made my heart race quickened and I have never in my entire life been as scared as that before. What was happening to me and why was I scared to face him? I thought as I looked up to face him.
