Alpha King’s Virgin Slave -
Chapter 60
"I no longer have a wolf!" Kian yelled, holding his head and letting out a loud growl. He fell to the ground of the throne room, unconcerned about the pain in his leg because the pain in his heart was greater. He'd lost his wolf, the only thing that mattered and one of the reasons he existed. "I don't deserve this," Kian sobbed bitterly, burying his face in his hands. "I am no longer anything!" He screamed and sobbed aloud. Nolan walked towards him and knelt to his level and reached out to touch him, but Kian slapped his hand away. "I know you're in pain, but all we need to focus on is replaceing a way to bring your wolf back."
"Believe me when I say there is no hope of regaining his wolf unless a miracle occurs! " Emma disclosed. "The shadows took his wolf's soul, and I have never heard of such a miracle!"
Kian screamed in agony and untied the jacket around his leg. He drew up his trouser and examined the wound on his leg. It was just a deep slash that could have healed in a few hours if Kian had his wolf, but nothing happened, so Kian punched his leg over and over until it started bleeding again.
"Stop right now!" Nolan grabbed his hand, preventing him from injuring himself further. "You'll get through this, Kian," Nolan assured him.
Kian chuckled and stared into Nolan's eyes, tears welling up in his eyes. Nolan had never seen Kian cry in all the years they'd been friends, except when his parents died, and that was a long time ago. Nolan knew Kian was in pain, and it was all his fault. Nolan blamed himself, thinking that if he had followed Kira, he might have fought the shadows himself, saving Kian from losing his wolf.
They were only shadows, after all, and he was the Alpha King.
"You must be tough. Kian, in this kind of situation! Be brave!" Nolan pleaded and patted him on the back.
"I don't want to be Brave!" Kian yelled at Nolan, unconcerned about whether he was the king or not. "You have no idea how devastating losing your wolf is, so don't tell me what to do!" Kian yanked Nolan's hand off his shoulder and attempted to stand up, but he lost his balance and nearly fell, but Nolan was there to catch him.
"Take it easy, Kian, you're hurt!" Nolan attempted to assist him but was pushed again. "Kian, snap out of it!" Nolan ordered him in his Alpha tone. He didn't want to do it, but he realized he had no choice. He simply had to use it because he knew Kian would never be okay. "You must understand that without your wolf, you can be anything! You are the Beta, so act accordingly!"
"Please stop telling me what to do!" Kian screamed back at Nolan, pointing to his bleeding leg. "You do realize that losing my wolf means I'll be cut off from all the werewolves, right?" Kian asked, biting his lower lip to keep himself from crying. "My connection with the wolves has been severed! I'm pretty much useless right now!" Kian yelled and smacked his chest. "I'll never be the same again, so stop telling me what to do!" He yelled at Nolan before lowering his head. "I'll leave the Royal mansion tomorrow because I'm basically a nobody now," Kian declared as he turned to walk away.
"Kian!" Nolan yelled after him, but he was ignored as Kian limped away sniffling, tears streaming down his cheek. Kian felt he had failed as a Beta and no longer deserved to be called one. He was essentially useless to him and everyone else.
"You must replace a way to assist him!"Nolan begged Emma. "Please, you must assist Kian!" Emma sighed and shook her head in response. "I can't help him because that's his fate!"
"However, you can try to make it work!" Nolan yelled at her, his eyes turning red, indicating that his Wolf had taken control. "Find a way to assist him! I can't afford to lose people I care about."Nolan inhaled deeply while placing his hand on his chest. "This shouldn't have happened in the first place," he muttered as he walked out of the throne room, leaving Emma alone.
"There's nothing we can do," Emma said quietly, placing her hand on her brow as she watched Nolan walk. "Only his fate will determine whether or not he survives!"
Nolan dashed down the hallways, looking for Kian. Because of Kian's bleeding leg, he was able to track him down outside the mansion, towards the Royal guard. "Kian!" He called but received no response. He moved closer to the garden but came to a halt when he noticed Kian with someone else. He could see Kian and Mara having a heated conversation due to the illumination of the lights outside the Royal mansion. He observed them as they conversed with one another. He cleared his throat and shut out all the noise around him, focusing solely on their voices.
"Stop behaving like this!" Mara yelled at Kian. "It's okay to be weak because it doesn't define who you'll become later!"
"Be? I am absolutely nothing!" Kian shot back. " Just abandon me to my fate!"
"However, you're bleeding!" Mara objected.
"Why should you care? We hardly ever speak!" Kian screamed at her.
"That is why I have come. I've seen how you've been acting, and I know you're a wonderful person."
"Whatever you consider to be your cup of tea! I don't care because I am no longer anything! I am..." Mara interrupted him by leaning in to kiss him.
Nolan sighed as he watched them. "Thank the goddess he has someone to lean on," he said as he turned to leave and entered the mansion. When he entered his room, he found Kira humming and dancing, completely unaware that he was there. Nolan approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her. Kira recoiled in fear and turned to face him. "You surprised me!" She said this while smiling at him.
Her sparkling teeth made Nolan's heart melt and he forgot about everything that had happened. He sniffed her hair and said a few incoherent words, but Kira understood what he meant by his final words. "At least I still have you," he said as he hugged Kira tightly. "Is everything all right with you?" Kira inquired. As he walked in, she could read his expression. Kira had noticed Nolan sighing recently, which was unusual. She didn't bother asking him because she didn't want to burden him and assumed he would tell her once everything was fine. She hopes he will.
Nolan responded with a nod. He couldn't even tell her anything because she was aware of Kira's character. She could offer herself as a sacrifice to save everyone else. Nolan had seen it many times when he still disliked Kira. He decided that telling her about their child or Kian would only make matters worse, so he kept it to himself. He was not planning on telling Kira about Sandra either because he didn't wanted to see her hurt or heartbroken.
"I just want to hold you in my arms all night," Nolan said into her ears as he let go of her petite frame. He took her hand in his and drew her to the bed. He laid on top of her on the bed and leaned in to kiss her. They made love slowly until they were both out of breath and Kira fell asleep. After realizing that she had fallen asleep, Nolan stood up from the bed and walked away from her and towards his desk. When he sat down, he sighed and considered what he could do to help Kian while also resolving the shadows issues. Nolan had been thinking about it all night. He was either pacing around his room or muttering incoherent words when he was sitting. His wolf growled in his head, reminding him to always put his mate first, and the only way Nolan could truly help Kira and protect her from harm was to mark her. That way, he'd be able to figure out whenever she was in trouble and easily replace out where she was.
He also considered how he could track down the shadows and stop them before they harmed more werewolves or Kira, and it was until dawn before he got a brilliant idea. Without waiting for Kira to wake up, Nolan changed from his pjs to a shirt and pants. He left the room and told the two guards at the door not to leave.
"You'll lose your life if you don't stay with her and never leave her side," he sounded a note of warning to him and they both bowed their heads in response.
"Yes, your majesty."
After ensuring Kira's safety, he proceeded down the Hallway to the west wing of the mansion, where Kian's room was located. Nolan sighed as he approached and knocked on his door. "Open up Kian! "
"Who's there?" Kian yelled from within his room. As he stood up from beside Mara, who had fallen asleep in his room the night before, he rubbed his eyes. Mara had consoled him, cleaned his wounds, and stitched his legs. Kian discovered Mara was a doctor and realized he could still have a mate bond with her. It gave him assurance that everything would be fine, and perhaps a miracle would occur as Emma predicted. They had spent the entire night in each other's arms getting to know each other better.
Kian rubbed his eyes as he pushed open the door. He yawned and stretched, not bothering to look at Nolan, who was standing at the door."You look like you had a good night's sleep," Nolan said, looking behind him but being stopped by Kian from looking into the
room.
"What exactly do you want?" Kian inquired. "You've never come to my room before," Kian recalled, perplexed as to why and what Nolan was doing in his room.
"I noticed you have the human in your room; have you two decided to be together now?" Nolan inquired out of curiosity. "What do you want, your highness?"
Nolan placed his hand on the wall beside the door and smiled at Kian."Do you think I might have a solution to what's going on?"
Kian didn't seem surprised; he just stared at Nolan, waiting for him to say something. Kian yawned and folded his arms, tapping his foot on the ground in frustration."I've discovered a way to protect kira and keep the shadows at bay," Nolan revealed and it piqued Kian's interest as he nodded in response, waiting for more information from Nolan.
Felix smirked as his victim screamed in agony and begged for help. "Where has your master gone?" Felix asked from the male wolf he held by the throat. "Where has he gone?" He yelled, tightening his grip on his throat.
"......." The male wolf's refusal to speak up enraged Felix even more. He chuckled as he sucked the wolf's life and dropped him to the ground.
"You could have spoken up when I asked," Felix turned back to face the remaining wolves he had slaughtered and burst out laughing. There were at least six of them standing at the gate of Elder Gal's mansion, and when he tried to force his way in, they blocked him, causing them to perish.
What a shame, Felix thought as he entered the mansion.
"Elder Gal!" Felix called but received no response. "I've been inside your head for a long time, Elder Gal. Show your face or I'll kill your entire family and make you watch!" Felix threatened and burst out laughing, but he received no response.
Felix laughed and made his way to the stairs, taking a few steps like a thief on the prowl. As he approached the first floor of Elder Gal mansion, he adjusted his black cloak and closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he had an evil smile on his face. He turned to the left side of the floor and kicked open a door. "I discovered you, Elder Gal!" Felix laughed as he stood at the room's entrance. Elder Gal, his mate Sami, and their pups, Camille and Kamille, were present in the room.
Felix's tongue clicked and he laughter hysterically."Your stupidity has cost you your family!" As his eyes turned red, he yelled and lunged at Elder Gal and the rest of his family. "You should have answered when I called your name,"Felix grinned at Elder Gal as he snapped Sami's neck.
