Alpha King’s Virgin Slave -
Chapter 66
Lorena POV
I was seething with anger when I sat down. How dare she speaks like an ingrate who has no regard for her people. It was people like her who are the reasons why life turned out to be the way it is. "With your nonchalant attitude, you don't deserve to be called a human!" I shouted at her.
"Why the hell are you in my business?" she asked. "whatever happens with me is none of your business and you don't deserve to question me because it is not your turn yet and you are not the one asking questions so you have no right to judge me like that!" she yelled back at me.
I have no right she said, I scoffed when I thought about her foolishness and the things she was doing. If it not for the sake of everyone seated there at that moment, I would have stabbed her in the face until she goes blind.
"ungrateful human!" I didn't back down and stood up from where I sat. "you have no idea what people have to go through because of the werewolves. It's so sad to see you acting this way because of the position that you wanted!" I spoke.
"And you are better than me?" she retorted. "you have anything against me huh?" she scoffed and frowned at me. "you are better than me because we are contesting for the same position! There is no way you are good because we are both the same! So, stop thinking that I did something wrong when you are there seated and pretending as if you are better than anyone!"
She was right. I was being a hypocrite at that moment because I was among the contestant of the noble consort but she had no idea that I have no option but to be in it. My existence and revenge depend on that position but she was too blind to understand any of it. She sees me as a hypocrite but I was different from that.
"My answers are different and I am going to read it out for you all to see that I am different from the rest of you who thinks that being dogs to the werewolves is going to save you from dying!" I yelled and cleared my throat. Picking up my paper from the table, I was stopped by a hand. When I looked up, the hand belonged to Fenrir and he had a fire in his eyes as if he was mad at me for choosing to disobey him.
When did he get to my front at that pace? I thought as I stared at him.
"what the hell are you doing?" he grabbed my hand on the paper and in the process of struggling with him, the paper tore into pieces.
All of my handiwork, I thought as I stared at the pieces of paper on the table. I could hear the gasps of everyone around us but I ignored them and instead focused on what Fenrir was about to do at that moment.
What was he aiming for? I thought. My eyes followed the movement of his hands and in a blink of an eye, he grabbed the remaining pieces of the papers and shredded it with his hands. I gasped and muffled a scream because I felt the need to. There was anger seething from my body and it felt as if I was about to be born at that moment but I quickly ignored that feeling in order not to be seen as Fenrir's enemy.
"with your attitude, I believe that you don't deserve to be called a noble consort!" he announced and the gasps in the room grew louder.
Why the hell would he change his mind so fast like that? I thought that we finally met something but he was quick to change his mind all because I said something against the werewolves.
"what are you doing?" I asked him and stared shakily at his red eyes. I wondered when his eyes changed colors and I couldn't even figure out how it happened and when. "I did nothing wrong so why are you doing this to me huh?" I asked him.
Fenrir chuckled and let go of my hand. "you have done something pretty wrong and that can't be forgiven because I am never allowing you to become a suitable candidate for the noble consort position," he said and I could only stare at him with my shaking hands and legs.
"why are you doing this to me huh?" I asked him. The tears welled up in my eyes as I questioned him. Instead of replying to me, he walked away instead.
"announcer Paul," I heard him call the announcer's name. "he is not going to be a part of the noble consorts any longer. She is out!" Fenrir announced and turned back to face me.
What? I gasped and stared at him. Beads of sweat trailed down my face as realization dawned upon me. I was out of the contestant just like angelica had promised. Maybe this was my fate and my end to freeing the humans from the werewolf's rule had come to end. "your highness," I ran towards him and grabbed his hand. "you can't do this to me!" I yelled at him. "I did all you've asked me to do and this is how you will repay me because I spoke against the werewolves!"
Fenrir chuckled and walked towards me with calculated steps. He burst into laughter as he placed his hands on the table. "I am sorry to inform you that not everything revolves around you, Lorena. You have shown an attitude of disrespect to everyone right here today and this ends your journey as a royal concubine," he announced and turned to leave the hall.
"what about the promises Lorena shouted hoping that he could remember what he had promised me the night when he told me his secret. "What about all those promises huh?"
He didn't turn to face me and spoke with his back turned against me.
"Whatever we had that night didn't matter and Lorena," he turned to face me. "maybe this position isn't meant for you Afterall, 'he said and walked out of the hall.
It was at that moment I realized that all of my plans were going to end.
