Alpha Queen
Chapter 112

Luan’s POV

I looked at the distant as my heart clenched in my chest.

I put down the flower bouquet by the the tree side as I kneeled before my mate’s picture.

“How are you, my love?” I said as my eyes filled with tears.

It’s been more than a year without Liviana.

More than a year of me…of us longing for her.

More than a year of mourning over her.

And it hurt just aa much as it did the day we all found out that she was gone.

Flashback…

“Ellie!” I shouted.

I shifted midway through the forest to sense Ellie better.

Everyone is frantic of her sudden disappearance.

I am too.

I had a really bad feeling about this whole situation.

After a while of searching, I suddenly heard howling towards the pack house direction.

I immediately ran back to the direction of the pack house.

I arrived there and saw that everyone was back.

I shifted back to my human form and a guard gave me a change of clothes.

I got dressed and rushed inside of the pack house.

I saw Ellie immediately.

She was clinging onto her mom, Theresa while Edmond caressed her back soothingly.

I sighed in relief.

Then, I looked around trying to replace Liviana.

“Where’s Liviana?” I asked everyone in the room.

They glanced at me and looked around tge room as well.

“I thought you guys were together” El said.

I shook my head.

“We parted ways before we went to the woods to search for Ellie” I said.

I tried to reach out to her through our link but I couldn’t get to her.

My brows furrowed in worry.

I tried again and again but still didn’t get any answer from her.

It wasn’t like she was shutting me out.

I just can’t seem to reach her.

“I can’t reach her” Edmond blurted out.

“I can’t either” El said.

I had that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.

But I didn’t want to overreact.

It’s not like this is a first time for Liviana.

“El, help me replace Liviana” I said.

El nodded and we made our way out of the pack house once again.

I tried my best to keep calm.

Maybe she just wandered off.

I’m sure she already knows that Ellie is safe.

But it’s not like her to not go back and see Ellie for herself.

I huffed in frustration.

El and I searched everywhere inside the pack territory.

We decided to separate paths midway and I made my way to where Liviana’s parents and uncle are.

I arrived there and tried looking around for Liviana.

“Why are you here alone? Where’s Liviana?” Dante appeared.

“Didn’t she go here?” I asked him.

Dante shook his head with his brows furrowed.

“Why? What happened?” he asked.

I sighed.

“I’ll tell you when I replace her or when she comes back” I said and made my way out immediately.

Every minute that passed by without a sign of Liviana made me anxious.

Her mere absence makes me a nervous wreck.

Where are you, Liviana?

I don’t know how long it has been because I was too busy searching for Liviana.

But she was nowhere to be found.

At this time, I was already panicking.

Where could she have disappeared to without a single word?

I went back to the pack house hoping she’d already be there.

But once everyone said she still hasn’t come back, that’s when we immediately freaked out.

The guards and warriors were all sent out to search for Liviana.

I was close to losing it.

But I still tried to keep my sanity.

My main priority is to replace my mate.

I don’t have time for a breakdown.

Minutes became hours.

Up until night time, everyone was searching.

But there was no sign of Liviana everywhere.

El and I searched everywhere even outside the pack territory.

But nothing.

It’s like after Ellie appeared, Liviana disappeared.

I was already feeling anxious and frustrated.

Everyone was starting to feel tired as well.

In the middle of the night, I decided to go back to where Liviana’s parents and uncle were.

I immediately saw Dante as he was staring at the distant with a worried expression.

Once he raised his head and his eyes landed on me, his brows furrowed.

“We can’t…replace her” I said panting.

Dante’s eyes widened.

He rushed to me and held me by the neck.

“What do you mean?” he asked with a low growl.

“We need help. Please” I said.

Dante let go of me and rushed towards where Liviana’s parents would be.

King Kale and Alpha Dimitri came out with a confused look.

Their eyes landed on me and they looked around for Liviana.

“Where’s my daughter?” King Kale asked with his brows furrowed.

I took a deep breath..

“Edmond’s daughter, Ellie disappeared a few hours ago. We went on a search for her. Liviana, the guards, the warriors and I” I started.

“And?” King Kale said.

“Ellie has been found. But we can’t replace or reach Liviana anywhere” I said.

King Kale and Alpha Dimitri’s eyes widened and we all rushed out to search for Liviana again.

Hours passed by and I was on the verge of losing my sanity.

Then, dawn came.

We all went back to the pack house hoping for the best.

King Kale burst open the door to the pack house with Alpha Dimitri and Dante behind him.

I followed them.

Everyone turned their heads to look at us.

I saw how everyone’s eyes widened in shock.

“D-dimitri?” Edmond muttered in shock.

“Where’s Liviana?” Alpha Dimitri said.

No one could answer due to shock.

“H-how could this be?” Edmond said.

“Where’s my daughter?!” King Kale growled loudly.

Dante and I immediately went infront of them to restrain King Kale and Alpha Dimitri in case they lose it.

Everyone tried to process the situation for a moment.

“The explanation of why were here isn’t what matters right now. We need to replace Liviana immediately” King Kale said.

We all shared our updates of the search and continued on in replaceing Liviana.

Minutes became hours.

And hours became days.

We never took a rest in trying to replace her.

We gathered again in the pack house to share any information we’ve gathered.

But nothing helped us.

“What if he took her?” I heard Alpha Dimitri when he was talking to King Kale.

“That’s not possible. He doesn’t know. He wouldn’t know” I heard King Kale say.

What were they talking about?

“Luan”

I turned to look at El.

He too looked just as tired as everyone was.

“Let’s talk somewhere else” I said and we made our way to the living room.

“What do you—” I was about to say but then a sudden painful sensation shot through my whole body.

I screamed in pain as I fell to the floor.

What’s happening?

“Luan!” El said as he went to my side confused and shocked.

I continued to writhe in pain.

Everyone started coming to us.

“What’s happening?!” Edmond asked as he went to my side.

“I don’t know. He just suddenly froze up and started screaming in pain before falling to the floor” El said.

I screamed once more as the pain spread through my body.

It was like I was on fire.

It was like something was breaking inside of me.

“Theresa, quickly call the doctor!” Edmond said.

I continued to squirm and scream in pain.

I caught a glimpse of King Kale and I saw the fear in his eyes as he stared at me.

“No” I heard him mutter.

I kept screaming as the pain got worse and worse by the second.

I didn’t know what was happening to me.

Someone came to my side.

In that moment, I felt something break inside of me.

I saw Liviana’s face flash before my eyes.

Then, I completely blacked out.

I don’t know what happened or how long I was out.

I forced myself to open my eyes.

I can’t be like this.

We still needed to replace Liviana.

I need to replace her.

See her.

Hug her.

Tell her how worried I was.

And how much I miss her.

I slightly opened my eyes and I heard beeping beside me and a blinding light before me.

“Luan?”

It was El.

“Doctor! Doctor! He’s awake!” I heard him shout.

Doctor?

Am I in the hospital?

Someone came to my side and started checking me.

“Your majesty? Can you see me?” the doctor asked.

“Li…Li…Liv-iana. W-whe…where?” I struggled to say.

“He’s awake” the doctor declared.

No one answered my question.

They started doing different tests on me

But all I wanted to know was where my mate was.

I weakly turned my head to look at El.

El looked back at me.

He looked even more tired than I last saw him.

It also looked like he had been cry.

Why?

What happened?

El looked at me and I saw the amount of his pain he was suffering from in his eyes.

“Wh…where..i-is she?” I asked again.

El’s tears started falling uncontrollably as he burst out crying.

“I’m sorry” he said as he cried.

It can’t be….

She can’t be…

I can feel my heart being crushed.

“Liviana….is gone” he said as he looked at me.

No…

End of Flashback…

I stayed a good 1 month confined in the hospital.

Everyone kept searching for Liviana.

Atleast they were looking for her body.

And replace out what happened.

But nothing.

We couldn’t even replace her body.

We’ve been mourning for her ever since.

Still, some of us hoped that she was alive.

Although it was impossible.

We still wanted to believe that Liviana is still alive until we actually found her body.

I haven’t had a peaceful day ever since.

I still see her in my dreams every night.

I still reminisce our memories together.

“Where are you?” I said as tears streamed down my face.

I cried helplessly as I mourned over Liviana.
