Alpha Queen
Chapter 135

Liviana’s POV

“Hey” Rainer called softly.

I turned to look at him.

“Hm?” I hummed.

“You okay?” he asked.

I gave him a small smile.

“Not really but I’ll survive” I said with a shrug.

Rainer chuckled.

“We’re stopping over for food. Do you want take outs or do you want to dine in?” he asked.

“Take outs sound better” I told him.

Rainer nodded.

I looked out the window of the car again.

I saw my reflection for a moment.

My hair was dyed black earlier this morning.

I figured now that I’m back in Lunar, I might as well return my original look.

Hopefully, Luke doesn’t get too surprised when he sees me again.

If he does, I’ll be sad.

And I’ll probably dye my hair back to silver for Luke.

I sighed and looked at the sceneries as we passed by.

We were driving to Crescent Moon.

As soon as we settled some of the important things in the palace of Lunar, I immediately left with Rainer to go back to Crescent Moon.

I haven’t seen Luan since he left and I still worry about where he is and how he’s doing.

“Are you excited to go back?” Rainer asked to keep me distracted.

“Excited? Yes. Anxious? Also, yes” I said with a slight chuckle.

“Why?” he asked.

I looked at Rainer.

“Rainer, it’s been 3 years since I disappeared. The last time they saw me was in a dream. A dream, Rainer. And it was months ago too. And in that dream, I told them to build a safe house without any type of other explanation whatsoever” I said.

Flashback…

I’ve officially turned 21 yesterday.

Time flew fast.

It only seemed like yesterday that I was just 18.

Now, I’m 21 with a son and am bound to be crowned as Queen of a whole territory.

I continued to walk through the forest until I reached a meadow.

I went to the center and sat there.

It was quiet and peaceful.

The moon lit up beautifully along with the stars.

I sat down in the center and crossed my legs.

I needed to do something before I go back to Lunar with men and take over the throne.

I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath.

I let my mind take me elsewhere.

A place where I needed to be.

When I opened my eyes, I was already in the forest.

I held my silver hair and closed my eyes again.

When I opened them, my color changed back to black like it originally was.

I stood up and started walking where my feet would take me.

Then I saw someone in a clearing and I made my way there.

The person turned to look at my direction.

His eyes widened as he saw me.

“Livi…” he muttered.

“El” I said with a smile.

I saw how he teared up as he made his way towards me.

He immediately pulled me into a hug and cried on my shoulder.

I caressed his back soothingly.

“We miss you so much” he cried.

I bit my lower l*p as I forced myself not to cry.

“Why did you have to leave us? Can’t you just come back? Please?” he sobbed.

I hugged El tighter.

I’ve seen El cry many times.

But not like this.

He sounded so broken.

He was in so much pain and I could feel it too.

And it hurt more to know that I’m the reason.

“El” I called him softly.

El looked at me.

I wiped the tears on his face.

“I’m sorry that you all had to go through this kind of pain” I said.

“But listen to me first, okay?” I said.

El sniffed and nodded.

“A few months from now, something big will happen” I started.

“I need you, the people in Crescent Moon and all the packs you can reach to do something before this said event” I continued.

El gave me a curious look but continued to listen.

“I need all of you to build a safe house. A safe house for the pack. I need all of you to provide supplies as well for a whole month for everyone. Everything you’ll need to survive for a whole month in a safe house. Then, mask your scents” I told him.

“Why?” he asked.

I looked at El in the eyes.

“Do you trust me?” I asked back.

El nodded.

“Good. I need all of you to stay in the safe house a day before the day of my passing until the day that someone will come by name of Rainer Black. Until that man comes, do not leave the safe house and stay hidden” I said.

El nodded again.

“Be safe” I said as I placed my forehead on his as I closed my eyes and a tear fell from my eye.

“I miss all of you too” I said and opened my eyes.

When I opened them, I was back in the meadow as Rainer stared back at me.

“You didn’t wait for me” he said with a pout.

I chuckled as I wiped a tear away.

“I’ve finished” I told him and he helped me stand up.

Rainer gave me a small assuring smile.

“You did good” he said and gave me a pat on the head.

I gave him back a small smile.

End of Flashback…

“And?” he said.

I frowned at him.

“A supposedly dead person appeared in their dream. Suddenly, I’m on my way to see them without any heads up. How does this not sound weird to you?” I said.

Rainer chuckled.

“I think all the matters now is you’re alive. And that you’re coming back to them. Why would you be anxious about anything else when you’re all that matters to them?” he said.

I sighed.

“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I’ll never know how they’ll react” I said.

“Are you really worried that they’ve forgotten about you already? Or maybe they’ve already moved on with their lives?” he suddenly asked.

I pursed my lips as I looked away.

“Of course not” I lied.

Maybe I was thinking of it a little.

Rainer chuckled.

“You’re an outstanding leader, an amazing mother and a very skilled fighter but you will always be a bad liar” Rainer said.

I pouted at him and he laughed.

“I’m sure they miss you every single day, Liviana” he assured me.

I sighed.

Why am I suddenly feeling this way?

“It’s going to be fine, Liviana” he assured me again.

I nodded.

I ended up falling asleep inside the car.

When I woke up, it was already dark.

“Hey” Rainer called me softly as he opened the car door.

I looked in front and saw a hotel.

“We’re staying here for the night. We’ll arrive in Crescent Moon first thing in the morning” he said.

I nodded and got out of the car.

Rainer already booked a room so we made our way there.

We only booked one room with two beds since Rainer would refuse to stay in a separate room in a foreign place like this.

I washed up first and went to bed.

But I couldn’t exactly sleep anymore.

Rainer got out of the bathroom all dressed up with a towel on his wet hair.

“Can’t sleep?” he said.

I nodded and looked beside me.

“Luke isn’t beside me” I said.

“Do you think Luke is sleeping soundly without me by his side?” I suddenly asked.

Rainer sat on his bed beside mine.

“I refuse to answer that question. I don’t want to lie and I don’t want you to worry either” he said.

I chuckled.

“I miss Luke” I told him.

“I do too” he said.

Rainer grabbed my blanket and tucked me in.

“Sleep, Liviana. You need it” he told me and planted a k**s on my forehead.

I sighed and nodded.

“I’m sure Luke is safe. You’ll see him again soon” he assured me.

I nodded again.

“Goodnight, Liviana” be said.

“Goodnight, Rainer” I said.

I closed my eyes to fall asleep.

I woke up after a few hours when Rainer and I had to go back the road.

Just before dawn, we reached the path to Crescent Moon.

My heart pounded inside of my chest.

“Nervous?” he said.

“Can you please stop paying attention to me for a few minutes please?” I said anxiously.

Rainer laughed.

“No can do, your highness” he teased.

I huffed.

“You’ll be fine” he said.

It took us a few more minutes to arrive by the gates.

Rainer and I got off.

The gates were locked completely without the guards to guard the outside of the packs.

I stared at the locks and it was soon engulfed in flames and was turned into ash.

“Nice” Rainer said with a chuckle.

We got inside the cae again and drove inside until we reached the pack house.

Then, I gave Rainer a map.

“This is the location of the safe house. Should I just come with you?” I asked him.

Rainer shook his head.

“I’ll manage. Just stay here until I come back with them” he said.

I nodded.

Rainer got off the car and I watched him disappear into the woods.

I took out a photograph from my pocket.

It was a picture of Luke and I.

It’s only been a few days and it’s already driving me crazy.

I touched the photograph.

How I wish Luan was with Luke and I.

But now, I’m not too sure about us being a whole family after Luan left.

Does he still love me?

Or has he come to hate me after everything he found out?

I sighed and hugged the photograph.

Ghad.

This is driving me mad.

I don’t know how long I was in the car but I got off when I felt like being suffocated inside.

I sat by the car hood as I waited for Rainer to come back.

Then, I heard the rustling coming from the woods.

I turned my head to that direction.

I saw the people from Crescent Moon.

I saw Pa, Edmond, Theresa, El, Ellie and many more familiar faces.

Their eyes widened when they saw me.

I bit my lower as I made my way to them.

“Livi!” Ellie squealed as she ran to me.

We met half way and I caught her in my arms.

Oh ghad.

“Livi!” El shouted as well as he ran to us and hugged us.

El looked at me as tears started to fall from his eyes.

“It’s you. It’s really you” he said.

I nodded.

Then, I looked at their back and saw Pa as he stared at me while he teared up.

“Livi” he muttered and rushed to hug me.

I hugged Pa back tightly.

I’m home.
