Alpha Queen
Chapter 56

Luan’s POV

It’s been a month since I was able to see my mate.

A month that I haven’t been able to sleep properly.

A month that I have constantly tortured myself by staying away from her.

The woman that I love with all my heart and soul.

Flashback…

I arrived at school and I saw Liviana and her human friend go somewhere. My brows furrowed and I felt jealous once again.

I was ready to follow them when Abe suddenly stopped me.

“What?” I said annoyed.

“Yo, chill. I was just going to ask you something. I guess I’d rather not considering how grumpy you are today” Abe said with a frowned.

“Whatever” I huffed and left him to replace where Liviana is.

Then I saw them.

They were hugging.

“I love you too” Liviana said and my heart sank. I left immediately.

She asked me for space and now she’s hugging another man and telling him she loves him while I’m her mate and she hasn’t even told me she liked me and keeps pushing me away.

I clenched my fist in anger and jealousy.

I got into my car again and drove away from school.

I don’t know where I’ll go but I don’t want to deal with this right now.

I already have a lot in my mind.

End of Flashback…

I stayed in a rest house near the sea. It was very far away from my mate.

I barely sleep or eat.

All I ever think of is her.

Liviana.

I want to see her again.

I want to be by her side.

To smell her scent.

To feel her warmth.

I just want her.

Why doesn’t she want me?

I finally decided to go back. There was no use staying far away from her because it only weaken my wolf and I.

I drove back to where we stayed and showered then changed clothes.

I looked at the time.

It won’t be long until her classes end.

I left our place and got on my car to drive to school. I waited there for a a while until I finally saw her.

My brows furrowed when my eyes landed on Liviana’s human friend’s arm on het shoulder and I growl lowly.

Why does he always has his arms around my mate?!

Liviana frowned when she saw me.

Why is she the one who looks upset when I’m the one who should be mad at her?

Deimos was excited to finally see our mate again.

I was too but I’m not sure I am now after seeing her again with that human.

“We need to talk” I said.

“Why would I talk to you?” Liviana said as she raised a brow at him.

I frowned.

“I’m not asking you to talk to me. It’s not a favor, Liviana. It’s an order from your superior” I hissed in frustration. She chuckled in disbelief.

“Superior huh” she said eyeing me.

I know I shouldn’t have used that excuse. It was the stupidest one there is because we both know she’s royalty too.

I smirked in disbelief and started to approach her instead.

“You’re going to talk to me whether you like it or not” I said and held her wrist to pull her with me but her human friend held her arm to stop me.

My b***d boiled.

How dare he?

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” I said with a frown.

“Let her go!” I growled at him. Then Liviana pulled her hand away from me.

“Don’t you fcking growl at him” she warned as I she stood between me and her friend.

I looked at her in disbelief.

Until now she’s still taking his side.

Of course.

“Protecting your weak human boyfriend huh” I scoffed and her brows furrowed.

I hated it even when it came from my mouth.

“What?” she spat at me. I glared at her.

I don’t want to repeat what I said.

“I don’t like repeating myself, Liviana” I said with a frown. She chuckled in disbelief.

I just stared at her with a frown.

“You’re a fcking i***t” she said and I growled at her. I’m beyond pissed now.

“You don’t have the right to tell me that” I said with gritted teeth.

“Why? Because you’re the prince? Grow up, Grey. I didn’t care then and I specially don’t care now. In other words, I don’t care about you” she said and I felt like I was stabbed in tbe heart.

I grabbed Liviana by her arm tightly as my jaw clenched im anger.

We glared at each other.

“Don’t test my patience, Liviana. You’re the one in the wrong here and you know it” I hissed at her. L

“Am I really? I’m not the one who made false assumptions, Grey” she said.

“I saw you and heard your conversation with him. I’m not fcking stupid, Liviana. You asked for space just to be with that human. Why are you acting like I’m the one in the wrong?” I said as my grip tightened on her arm.

“If you weren’t so stupid, you would’ve asked what our conversation was really all about. But you didn’t. You left so easily not knowing what the truth was” she hissed at me and I looked at her confused.

What truth?

“I thought you fcking changed for the better. I thought we actually stood a chance. But with this attitude of yours, you just proved to me that I was right for pushing you away all this time” she finally said and my eyes softened at her words.

Was she starting to finally accept me?

But I clearly saw and heard them.

“What do you mean, Liviana?” I said as my grip on her loosened. She looked at me with so much anger and hatred and I just wanted to pull her to me and hug her. Tell her I’m sorry even though I don’t know what J did wrong.

“I don’t want to be your fcking mate. Fck the mate bond. Fck you!” she shouted and pushed me so I let her go.

She passed me and quickly rode her motorbike then drove away.

I stood there confused.

“You’re literally so stupid” Liviana’s human female friend suddenly said and I looked at her.

“Livi rejected Blake that day” she said as she glared at me.

“She hasn’t gotten any sleep because you simply assumed and didn’t bother asking Livi then left” she continued.

“You’re a fcking dumbass and I hope Livi never talks to you again!” she shouted as her eyes watered then walked away.

Liviana’s male human friend glanced at me in disbelief then followed his sister.

I closed my eyes tightly and clenched my fists.

I need to fix this.

I got into my car and drove as fast as I can to Crescent Moon pack’s pack house.

The guards let me in after they had asked permission for my entrance.

I parked in front of the pack house and got out of my car.

El walked out of the pack house and saw me.

“Luan, you’re back. What’s up?” he said.

“I need to talk Liviana” I said and he tilted his head to the side.

“But she’s not home yet though” he said. I looked at him for a moment to see if he was lying but he wasn’t.

She’s not home.

Then where is she?

“I’ll just wait here until she comes back” I said determined to wait for her. El nodded.

“You guys good? Livi doesn’t seem too good these days. She comes home and buries herself in paper work every day for the past weeks. She doesn’t even have dinner with us anymore so Dante has to bring her food and force her to eat” he said and I felt a pang of guilt.

Was it because of me that she became like that?

“I think it’s my fault” I told him and he looked at me with a brow raised.

“Why you? I thought you guys were already in good terms before she asked you for space?” he asked. I sighed.

“It’s a long story but I fcked up. I fcked up big time” I admitted and El sighed.

“You’re an i***t” he said and I agreed with him and everyone on that one.

El stayed with me outside for a while until he came inside and I was left alone waiting for Liviana as it got darker.

Where is she?

It’s getting late.

The doors to the pack house opened again and Liviana’s Beta came out.

“Your majesty” he said and lowered his head to me. I gave him an acknowledging nod.

“Are you waiting for Alpha Liviana?” he asked carefully.

“I am” I said and he sighed before looking at me apologetically.

“She won’t be coming home tonight, your majesty” he said and looked at me in pity.

My heart clenched.

She doesn’t want to see me and it’s all my fault.

Because of a stupid misunderstanding, we’re back where we started.
