Alpha Queen
Chapter 7

Liviana’s POV

I met up with Blake and Katie during lunch and they both treated me like a child since last time I went home sick.

After class, I had to hurry home because Edmond had mind linked me that one of the new set of pack members had arrived already.

It didn’t take long for me to arrive outside of the pack house where the new members gathered. I got down my bike and took off my helmet as Edmond approached me.

“Alpha” he bowed to me and I gave him a nod before walking to where everyone was gathered. They all turned to me and bowed their heads in respect.

I stood before them with my head held high.

“First of all, I’d like to send my condolences to all of you for your late Alpha” I started. No one dared to meet my eye. Specially the former pack leaders of the former Alpha.

“It was never my plan to take over your pack or harm your former Alpha but it seems he and your former pack leaders had looked down on me and brought it upon themselves and all of you” I continued.

“I will not force you to stay with me and be part of my pack. If you feel the need to leave and replace another pack to be in, approach me now or some other day. I will be in my office to hear your sentiments. But if you wish to stay in my care, I will gladly be your Alpha and I shall treat you like any other member of my pack with care” I said.

“Raise your heads and meet my eyes” I commanded. They complied and met my eye.

“I, Alpha Liviana Crest shall protect you like how I’ve protected my pack members all these years. If you wish to join the Crescent Moon Pack, please come forward and I shall accept you as my own” I said.

They all started stepping forward and kneeling before me. A smile formed my lips in satisfaction.

“All I ask from you is your loyalty and nothing else. With that, I shall protect all of you at any cost even my own life” I said and they bowed their heads again in respect.

“Rise all of you” I commanded and everyone rose to their feet.

“Welcome to the pack” I said with a smile. The pact leaders clapped and everyone else followed.

“Get them settled down by this month if possible. Tell me if there will be any problems and I’ll make sure to see to it” I mind linked Edmond. He nodded and I went inside to my room.

I went to the bathroom and took a long cold shower, scrubbing my body once more since I am reminded by the b***d of the former Alphas I’ve battled with.

I changed to training clothes and trained by myself to distract myself from everything. I’m still grieving over my father’s death but I shall not lose myself in the process.

I need to be stronger to protect my pack. I cannot slack off nor show any signs of weakness to them. Not even when I’ve lost my only b***d relative shall I falter.

“Mate” someone mind linked me. I rolled my eyes.

Luan Grey again.

“Can’t you just leave me alone? There’s so many more she-wolves out there” I replied.

“No. My wolf only wants you. You can’t do anything about it and I will not let you reject us” he stated. I sighed in frustration.

I sat down to meditate.

I immediately saw Amaris and she immediately glared at me keeping her distance.

“Amaris” I softly called her. She growled at me still upset by how I’m pushing away our mate.

“I’m sorry, okay? I don’t think I have a choice” I told her.

“You’re being selfish, Liviana. You know I need our mate. We both do. But why do you keep doing this?” Amaris whined.

“Right now isn’t the time for a mate, Amarid. Also, he’s a prince. If we accept him, he can do whatever he wants and take us away from the pack” I explained. She whimpered.

“I’m sorry, Amaris. Right now, our mate is a threat between us and the pack” I told her. She turned her back on me and run off. I sighed.

I went back to reality.

I stood up and headed back inside.

“Meet me by the river” I mind linked Grey.

I went to my room and got changed to a set of new clothes.

I ran to the woods still in my human form until I reached the river.

I was the first to arrive. No sign of Grey just yet.

I went to the platform and looked into the water staring into my reflection and the moon’s.

I looked up and closed my eyes for a moment.

“Liviana” I opened my eyes and looked around. It’s that woman’s voice again.

I saw no one else.

Then I heard rustling and smelled the familiar scent from Grey. Soon enough, I saw him. He approached me in the platform and his wolf form and then shifted to his human form in front of my eyes.

I looked away and turned my back at him in his naked state. I heard him chuckle.

“Why don’t you look at me and enjoy the view?” he teased. I smirked in disbelief.

“If you don’t get dressed, this conversation will end even before it starts” I told him. He then sighed.

After a few moments…

“You can look now” he told me. I faced him and he was already wearing clothes.

“We need to talk” I said. He grinned and stepped towards me.

“It’s about time” he said and stood only a meter away from me.

“I can’t be your mate” I told him and he immediately stopped.

“Look, I’m really sorry but I don’t think I’m ready for a mate yet. Let alone a royalty as a mate” I said.

“Why?” he asks with brows furrowed. I sighed.

“I’m the Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack. I have been since 2 years ago. My priority is to protect it and nothing else. I don’t think having a mate is what I need right now” I said straightforwardly. He snarled at me pissed.

“I don’t think you have a choice, woman. I am your mate whether you want me or not and you are mine” he said. He approached me with his glowing green eyes.

“Look here, woman ” he said with gritted teeth as he held me by the waist. I met his gaze bravely.

“You can’t keep pushing me away like this and you can’t reject me either. I will not accept it and you’ll still be stuck with me. You are my mate and I am your yours” he said in a dangerous tone. I looked at him with a challenging gaze.

“You can’t do this” I said angrily.

“I can and I will. Until you finally accept that we’re mates, I’ll keep pestering you wherever and whenever” he told me with his jaw clenched and his grip tighter.

“So do yourself a favor and stop resisting unless you want to see my bad side. Because, baby, I’m sure you won’t like it when I’m mad” he warned.

I gulped and looked at him in disbelief.

“Why are you doing this? I’m not of your level. You can simply replace another mate. One that’s the same rank as yours” I said. He scoffed in disbelief.

“I don’t care about anyone else. It’s you that I want. No one else. You are mine no matter what your rank is” he said looking at me straight into my eyes.

I sighed in defeat and his grip on my waist softened as he placed his head on my shoulder.

“The faster you accept me, the more it gets easier” he said.

“Shouldn’t you go replace someone more worthy like someone of royal b***d?” I kept suggesting.

“Stop saying that” he said annoyed. I sighed again.

“I know you want me just as much your wolf does. You just haven’t realized it yet” he told me.

“You don’t know that” I argued. He sighed.

“Whatever. I’m tired of arguing with you, woman. I know you want me just as much as I want you and I will wait for you to realize it as well” he said. I sighed.

I didn’t think he’d be this persistent.

“You’re making this complicated for both of us” I said.

“You’re the one making things complicated” he said. I frowned.

Okay.

“What’s wrong with you, really?” he said sounding frustrated.

“Nothing is wrong with me” I said frowning.

Then we both heard rustling in the woods. My senses tingles and Grey calmly turned around.

A group of wolves came out. 2 had shimmering gray fur and 5 had brown matted fur. Grey shielded me calmly facing them.

“Leave us alone” he said boredly. He seemed to know them.

Then the two gray wolves shifted into their human form.

“Aish!” Grey exclaimed and covered my eyes but I was able to see their faces before he did so.

The twins.

“Isn’t she the girl from school?” one of them said.

“Yeah. The weird one” the other agreed like I wasn’t there to hear it. I frowned.

“Didn’t I make it clear to not look for me?” Grey said sounding annoyed.

“Well, you were taking an awfully long time, your majesty. Of course we had to come looking for you” one said mockingly.

“You didn’t exactly tell us you’d be flirting. If you did, we wouldn’t have come searching” the other said.

Even before Grey could reply to them, I butt in.

“You should go, your majesty” I suggested. He looked at me clearly not wanting to go.

“I need to go back too” I mind linked him. He sighed and nodded.

I gave him and his men a slight bow before I left.

I didn’t wait up for any of them to say anything more and left.
