I still replace it unbelievable that I came face to face with Alpha Raze of the night walkers pack and walked out of his dungeon alive and unharmed except for the bruises his men already left on me before they dragged me with them down to the dungeon. But what is more shocking and unbelievable is how he carried me in his arms like weighed nothing. How he carried me in his arms like I wasn’t a trespasser in his pack. It was the very first time I

I

would be treated with such tenderness. First time I would be looked upon with eyes that didn’t hold malice or promise of how they would make me suffer. It was the first time any man would make me feel like I was worth more than being a worthless Omega. I had clung to him like my life depended on it. Buried my head into his chest like it was where I was meant to be. I didn’t know why I did it. It was just as if my body knew what to do, instinctively leaning into the man who is supposed to be a walking danger sign. Maybe it was the fact that I was deprived of attention and he suddenly showed it to me or maybe it was because I wanted to enjoy that feeling of being protected for once before he finally does what he wants with me. How is a man feared by all capable of such gentleness? It is beyond me. I have only heard stories about Alpha Raze most of which are true. They say he kills without mercy. Conquers without remorse and turns every threat into nothing but a pile of dust and ashes that will never be able to cause him trouble ever again. His pack is the only pack my father hasn’t been able to make a pact with despite how many times he reached out. He failed each time and never got a response back from the Alpha. Alpha Raze even happened to be on the list of the people invited to the ceremony days ago

and

my father had hoped that he would finally meet the powerful yet young Alpha. If only he knew I walked into the very pack of the man he’s been trying to form an alliance with. If only he knew his daughter was in danger. When I thought about how abusive he was and how he chose to believe Reece, that cheating and lying ba stard over me, I knew he wouldn’t care less about what happens to me but more about where I walked into and how he can use it to his benefit. I am still lost in my thoughts. My heart is still beating fast because I fear that at any point, Alpha Raze could change his mind and come back to torture me. Worse, give me to his warriors. I could only imagine the dirty and terrible things the men would do to me. The thought clouds my mind and makes me shake my head like I can shake it off too. Of all places to trespa ss, it just had to be a pack full of warriors. Great, just my luck. “Young miss, are you okay?” I am finally drawn out of the horrid thoughts that had taken over my mind. I am able to focus on the world around me and the fact that I am being held steady by someone. I look at the maid who is holding me up. I am in pain but I can’t trust anyone to help me, not even the maid who has the brightest smile and kindest look I have ever seen. I struggle to ease myself away from her, “I can stand on my own.” She chuckles, “You can’t. You just replace it hard to trust me.” She says like she read my mind. I gulp. “Maybe let’s introduce ourselves first, shall we?” She says and I nod. “My name is Arya.” She says again. “Amber…” I croak out my own name. “Amber,” she smiles at me again showing her perfect dentition. Arya is just as beautiful as the next girl and even when I have just met her, I feel so self-consious of my looks that have never been over the top. “You are an Omega. Those wounds will take some time to heal if you let them do so on their own but if you let me help you, the balm the warriors use when they get hurt can be of help.” Her voice is calm and I want to trust her. I want to believe I am not in any danger. “Is the Alpha going to kill me?” I blurt out. The question makes Arya laugh so hard that she snorts. I just stand there and stare while she tries to stop herself from laughing. “I’m sorry-I sorry.” She says like she’s being throttled. “The Alpha isn’t going to kill you, Amber.

He would do anything but that. I’m surprised that you are the only one who still doesn’t see or get what is going on here.” I frown, “What is going on?” I ask. “Enough with the questions, Amber. I need to tend to your wounds and have v

you ready to be at the dinner table with the Alpha. Please, let me do my job and take care of you.” She pleads and I slowly nod my head, giving up. “Great!” She grins, “Come on.” Arya leads me with her further into the room we had walked into earlier. It is a huge room with an even bigger bed inside of the room. The walls of the room are in full and dark colors and I suspect no one has occupied the room in a long time since it is practically empty. The only other thing in the room aside from the bed is the huge walk-in closet. It might be an empty and lifeless looking room but it is still bigger than any of the rooms I have been in combined. My room at my father’s house and my room after replaceing Reece as my mate. Arya leads me into the bathroom and I don’t expect anything less than what I come face to face with. The bathroom is huge as well. I start to take my clothes off. They are torn and dirty from all the times I fell to the ground while running from the ones who chased me out of the pack. I wince with every moment I make. “Do you need help?” Arya asks and I contemplate it, “Or you want me to leave you to it? I can always wait outside and give you your privacy.” She starts to leave but I suck it up and stop her, “Wait!” I say. I can’t get out of my clothes myself. My body hurts everywhere. “Help me, please.” I whisper. Arya smiles and turns back to me. “Of course.” She says and comes behind me to help me with my clothes. I go fully naked in front of her and she moves forward to turn the faucet of the tub on and we both watch the water rush into the ceramic tub. “It’s better for you to relax in the tub.” She says as she grabs a bottle of bubble bath and opens it into the water and then she helps me into it. I instantly relax once I’m in there. My sore joints and muscles slowly But it only gets better from there. After the ti in the tub, Arya helps. me back into the room and a few things I didn’t see in the room when we first entered it were waiting for us, including a short red dress. I don’t get to ask questions because Arya is all over me, busy with blow drying my hair and using calming balms that instantly relieve my pain that I am now able to walk without wincing. She helps me into the dress that somehow fits perfectly like whoever got me knew my exact size. “Perfect! You are really beautiful.” Arya praises as we both look at my reflection in the mirror. It is a drastic change from how looked when I first came stumbling into the Nightwalkers pack. The dress fits perfectly, its color brightening up against my usually pale skin. My hair isn’t all over the place anymore as it’s tied up perfectly. I am no longer the whimpering mess I was when I first met Alpha Raze. A part of me can’t help but feel like, what’s the point anyway? What if I am just a lamb being fattened up, shown the utmost attention just so I can be led to the slaughte rhouse and killed? Why go through all of this trouble for an Omega? That is even more suspicious. An Omega like me who has only been looked down on since I shifted. The fear is still at the back of my mind that Alpha Raze has plans for me. Terrible ones. “You’re all done. The Alpha is waiting at the table to have dinner with you.” Dinner. I fear I won’t be able to stomach anything while seated in the same room with the Alpha even as hungry as I am. I let Arya lead me out of the room after we’re all done. She leads me through the rest of the hallway that spreads into the dining hall where the table is set and there, Alpha Raze is seated, waiting for me with a calm look on his face. He is the only one in the room and somehow, I knew we would be the only ones to eat at the table. No. I can’t be alone with him. “Enjoy your meal, Amber.” Arya whispers but moves away faster than I could grip her and ask her not to leave me with Alpha Raze. There is no way I am going to enjoy my meal. Not with Alpha Raze in the same room with me. “Amber…” Heavens, the way he calls my name. “Come, sit.” And just like the submissive I am who can’t defy an Alpha, I do as I am told.
