Chapter 15

Catalina's

POV

After two days in the clinic the doctor says I can be discharged, but he still wants me on bed rest for a few more days. I don't know why. I actually feel fine. Kayla feels a bit weak, but nothing compared to where she was before. However Andrew is heeding every warning. He still hasn't left my side but I'm getting him to eat, shower, and even sleep. He's looking better too. After two days of bed rest I have had it. "Andrew I'm not staying in bed another day longer and if you make me so help my I will lose my mind." I say to him one morning.

"But the doctor.."

"Andrew I don't care what he said. I'm fine but I need to get out of this apartment." I am getting angry now.

"Babe.."

"Don't babe me. I feel like I'm suffocating. Like I'm just going to explode." I feel my anger growing. Just then Rachel comes in. "Why is it so hot in here?" She asks looking at us.

"I don't know. All I know is I'm trying to get Lina back into bed." Andrew says looking for back up.

"Andrew she's been in bed for a week. Enough's enough. Let the girl breathe." I knew I liked Rachel. I point to her proving my point.

"I just want to go to my studio for a few hours for some peace. You already have a team of warriors on this floor, I think I'll be ok." I say. Andrew looks at me. A bit hurt.

"Fine, ok. I'm being overbearing. I'm just scared. But you're right." Andrew says looking defeated.

"Babe. I know you are. But you can't keep me bottled up because you are afraid something might happen to me. And you eventually have to get back to being the Alpha." I walk over to him and grab his hands. He takes a big sigh.

"You're right. I guess we have to get back to some kind of normal." He says and kisses me. I smile at him, I know he's worried.

"Come on hun I'll grab us a bottle of wine and we can hang out in the studio." Rachel says and heads for the kitchen.

"But it's like 10am" I say

"Oh hun it's always wine time." Rachel says as she grabs a bottle and two glasses. She grabs me and we are out the door. Lucas is at the door and he smiles.

"Luna, Beta." He says to each of us and nods

"Gamma." Rachel says back with a giggle and we head to my studio. We walk in and everything is just as I left it. Rachel gets comfy in the sofa and I take out a new canvas.

"What should I paint?" I ask. Rachel thinks for a moment.

"Hhhmm I don't know.. but so much has happened to you the last week I'm sure you can replace something to paint" Rachel says pouring her first glass of wine. She's right, I should paint something recent. Then it hits me. I know what to paint. I get out my brushes and paints and get to work. After two more glasses of wine I'm done.

"What do you think?" I ask and show her the picture. Rachel stands up.

"Oh hun.. it's us." She smiles. "It's beautiful!" She says. I smile. She hands me a glass and pulls me to the sofa. She tells me all about her new plans for her wedding.

"Oh by the way, will you be my maid of honor?" She asks.

"What does that in-tale?" I ask

"Oh you get to go to all the pre parties, you get to walk down aisle with Andrew because he'll be Murphs best man, stand by me while I marry Murph, and drink away the night with me." She giggles.

I laugh. "Well then yes I'd love to." She squeals and hugs me. She tells me more plans and things I have to do. She's so excited about every detail.

"Lina. I think it's time." Kayla says in the back of my mind.

"Time for what?" I ask

"Time for them to meet me." She says.

Meanwhile

Andrew's POV

I'm making my way to the office, I have been a bit MIA while I've been with Lina. I walk in to see my father behind the desk.

"Dad? What are you doing here?" I ask

"I'm just taking care of a few things while you look after Lina." He says putting papers down. No wonder no one has been bugging me. My dad has picked up the slack. "Thanks dad." I say sitting down across from him.

"Of course son. How is our girl?" He asks

"Well she basically said I was annoying her and ran off with Rachel to her studio with wine" my dad laughs.

"Well I guess that means she's getting better."

"I guess so." I add "hey dad I have a question." He leans back in his chair.

"Is there anyone we know that's old, old enough to know the full legend of the white wolf? Or someone who specializes in legends?" I ask. He thinks for a moment.

"Well I might know someone. But this person is a bit secluded. We'd have to physically go there and it's a bit of a way away." He says.

"How far?" I ask

"We'd be gone for 3 days at the minimum." He says. That's not too bad.

"I told Lina about the legend and she has questions. Her wolf told her she couldn't die when she was in a coma." My dad just nods. "She asked if there was someone else we could ask. I think it will be important to understand what's going on and how she survived that much wolfsbane." I add.

"Let me do some digging and I will let you know." My dad replies.

"Thanks again dad."

"Also we sent a letter to Black Forest Pack." He adds "a letter of retribution."

Meanwhile

Third person POV

"Did you do it?" Luna Mary asks

"I gave her enough to kill an army. There's no way she can survive that." Beta Yuri says

"Good. They all treat us like we're no better than rogues. And that Luna Cassandra, what a joke! Well good job Cassandra, you protected her just for her to die." Luna Mary says

"But what if they attack us?" Beta Yuri asks.

"They wouldn't dare. With the money the Alpha gave us for Cat we've tripled our number of warriors and have updated our training. If they attack we will fight back, the way Blacks fight back." Luna Mary says with an evil glint in her eye.

"You should have just let me have her from the beginning and we wouldn't be here." Yuri says sharply.

"You should have been more of a man and taken her yourself!" Luna barks back. Just then Alpha Samson walks in.

"What have you two done?" He asks looking at them.

"What do you mean dear?" The Luna asks.

"We received a demand for retribution." Alpha throws the paper at Yuri.

"For your attack on the future Luna!" Alpha Samson is furious.

"What do you mean attack? Don't you mean murder?" The Luna asks grabbing the paper out of Yuris hand.

"So you did do something. You stupid woman. If I don't hand over Yuri they will declare war on our pack. And they have 4 other packs in their alliance, all willing to go to war.. WITH US." Alpha Samson is fuming.

"I will not let our pack be killed off for your actions." Alpha Samson points at Yuri.

"Get him locked up so he can't run and hide." Samson says to the guards at the door. They grab Yuri and take him away.

"And you." He shifts his gaze to Luna Mary, "If you ever do anything to put our pack into danger again I will have you in the dungeon for the rest of your life." Alpha Samson storms out of the room. But all Luna Mary can think about is how Catalina didn't die. "That little mouse, she won't get away with this, and I know just who to call."
