Alphas Deaf Mate
Chapter 102

Autumn

Picking my clothes up, I started putting my pants on when I felt his arms wrap around my waist. I laughed as he pulled me back down to the ground. We didn't go far, only in the woods, but far enough that no one could see us. Thank god I was now feeling very embarrassed about our little activities.

"Reins, we need to get back." I giggled as I sat up, straddling him. I sat on his stomach as he took his knees up, letting me lean back against them.

"They can wait. Right now I want to stay here with you."

He locks both hands with mine, intertwining our fingers,

"Reins, we are still in the woods, mind you, and we are still very naked."

He let out a laugh as he pulled me down and kissed me. He nipped at my lips. He deepened the kiss, earning a moan from me.

Pulling back, breaking the kiss, I knew if I didn't we would end up going at it again and we really needed to go deal with the council members that had just arrived. It looked bad that he hadn't already been there.

Letting out a groan, he gave me a pout. Lifting his hips up so I could feel him. Jumping up off him, I grabbed my pants again, attempting to put them on again,

"You have Alpha duty to attend to"

I told him as I slipped my pants on, pulling them up, then reaching for my bra and shirt.

Feeling him behind me now, he grabbed me, spinning me to face him.

"My Alpha duty also consists of taking care of my Luna," He started kissing my shoulder,

"Reins," I said his name.

"Autumn," he says right back.

Lifting his head, he gave me a smirk,

"We really need to get back," I wiggled out of his hold, putting my bra on. I was feeling a little exposed.

"Why the rush? We have time for one more round.

"REINS!" I yelled at him. I could feel my cheek heating up. "Stop it!"

Laughing, he pulled me to him,

"Why so shy now? A moment ago you weren't,"

"That was Gem's fault, dam horny wolf."

"I don't think it was all her."

He chuckled, knowing I was right. She tries to jump his bones every chance she gets.

Kissing my forehead, he let go, grabbing his clothes.

"Alright, let's get back and deal with these other people. I want them gone as soon as possible."

"What do you think they will do?"

"Not sure really. I know they will want to speak with everyone and with Rachel dead. They could just take him back."

"Has there ever been someone who broke the oath as he did?"

"Not to my knowledge. But the council has been in place for centuries, so I'm sure there's been one or two. No one holds a perfect record." Nodding my head, I understood that.

"Not many have there been two others I know of." Gem's voice popped up,

"Gem, how do you know?"

"I may be new to you, but I have lived longer and seen more than I would like to admit."

"So you keep your memories from your previous life?"

"Yes, I do all wolves do. That's why, when we first shift, our wolves are mature and experienced. They just can't communicate with their humans as I can." "Oh. Is that why they feel we have too much power and we need control?"

"Yes, and we can also share and pull power from others,"

"What do you mean?" It was Reins who asked this time.

"Well, like in the hospital where the others felt us reaching out to them."

"Did you push power to me in the dungeon?" Reins asked as he pulled his shirt over his head.

When she didn't answer right away "Gem?", I called her,

"Yes, I did. I can share it with my mates. That is why they feel we are a threat, because in battle I can push power into you to help you."

"Can you do that to anyone?"

"No, what you felt before is only a special bond to our true mate. But I can pull energy from the four protectors, which is what happened in the hospital."

"So you can't just share with anyone?"

"No, maybe I should have made that clearer. I can only share with my mate and protectors."

"So when we healed Dad, you pulled energy from the others?"

"Yes, but some think that we can do that with anyone. That is why people were trying to control us and the battles broke out, not because we went looking for it but because people wanted the power we hold. It's like the white wolf. People are always looking for more power and feel they have the right to take it."

"Gem, do you think the council will try and take us?"

"I don't know. They will learn what we are from the other members, but what they may try and do I'm not sure.

Hearing a growl, I looked at Reins.

"No one will take you," His eyes were almost black.

I placed my hand on his chest." I'm not going anywhere."

"I think maybe we should get back. I don't feel so comfortable out here now," I told him. It seemed to snap him out of it and he nodded, grabbing my hand and leading us back through the woods to the back house,

Reins

Reaching the pack house, I took her to the back door that led to the kitchen. No one was in there, so I led her along and over to the stairs, and making our way up, I kept her hand in mine. I could feel her worry. She was quiet the whole walk back here. The playfulness was gone and was replaced with her emotions all over,

When we reached the floor with my office on it, I stopped, looking at her.

"Go up to our room. I'll have Kelly and them come up. I know you don't want guards, but right till we figure out what the council will try, I want the four of them with you at all times. Please don't leave the room till this is settled,"

She did not argue, she just gave me a nod, placing a kiss on her forehead. "Go," I whispered to her,

Turning and going in the direction of our room.

"Oscar," I called through the link.

"Yes, Alpha,"

"I want you four up to my floor to guard the door. The council members are here and I don't know what they will try. I want Autumn protected at all costs." "Yes, Alpha."

Cutting the link, I headed straight for my office, seeing the door open as I still needed to have it fixed from the last council meeting that went on there.

Walking in, I saw Anut Anna speaking with an older gentleman.

"I'm sure he's just held up. He will be here at any moment." She tells him as her hands are folded together, hanging down in front of her.

"He better be. It's not proper of him to make me wait." He gritted through his teeth, making her flinch a little,

"And what is proper of an Alpha is to attend to his Luna when it's needed," I spoke before he could say anymore. I quickly looked at Anut Anna. I saw a look of relief.

"Well, it's about time, Alpha, I have been waiting here."

Making my way over to my desk and rounding it, I pulled the chair out and took a seat. He stood across from me glaring at me,

"Have a seat. I'm sure there is a lot we need to discuss and I would rather get it over with as I have other things that need my attention."

"First I would like to speak with the other two that were sent here first."

"Well, I can have my beta bring you one, but the other will have to wait as he is currently being held in our dungeon."

"Dungeon?" He barked out, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yes. That's where all criminals go when they break our laws and he did."

"How?"

Sighing, I stood up.

"Look, there has been a lot that happened in the last 48 hours, so if you could drop the attitude and listen, maybe we can get this solved, as I have no interest in dragging this out any longer and I do not feel like arguing." I saw his shoulders drop a bit, " I do apologize for the wait but my mate needed me at the moment. My first and most important duty is to her."

Nodding his head, his face softened and his frown was gone.

"I can understand my mate was angry at me for having to come here. We had a trip planned to go see her parents and I had to change to come here,"

Holding my hand up. "It's okay,"

"Alright, how about we start over," He stuck his hand out, "Ryker Johnson."

Taking his hand," Reins Blackwood."
