Chapter 54

Reins

Pulling Autumn behind me as her brother shifted coming to stand in front of us. I could feel Autumn trembling as she clung to me.

I felt another person behind me looming over my shoulder it was Autumn's mom her father was standing in there guarding them from the back. "Alpha we need to move Luna and her mother to the safe room." Keaton's voice rings in my head.

Just as he said through words he popped up on the stage in front I didn't want to leave her but I need to defend my pack and she can't stay here.

I turned to her father as he hadn't shifted yet.

"Follow Keaton he will take you to the safe room, don't let them out of your sight,"

"Yes Alpha," He steps up wrapping one arm around his mate he goes to reach for Autumn but she shakes her head stepping closer to me she looks up at me tears streaking her cheeks as she clung harder to my shirt.

"Autumn you have to go with them you can't stay here it's not safe,"

Her head shakes even harder fisting my shirt till her knuckles are white.

"No! Please I don't want to leave you please!" She cries out.

"Alpha! We need to go!" Keaton calls again as he knocks a wolf off the stage.

Cupping her face I kiss her. I look over her head at her father nodding at him he knew what he had to do.

I started to step back as he reached an arm out wrapping it around her waist he pulled her from me, Hearing the rip of my shirt from her grip and her screaming my name broke my heart the look of fear she had in her eyes caused my wolf to become angry his mate is scared and wants to protect her.

Zach came to stand in front of her he began pushing her with his head as her fighting against her father was making it hard for him to hold her.

Keaton stops for a minute to look at me.

"Go!" was all I said through the link.

With a grunt, he took off leading them away from here.

Turning I quickly looked at the fighting that was happening all around.

"Women and children go to the closes safe room!" I yell through the link

Jumping off the stage and shifting mid-air soon as my paws touched the ground I charge head-first into the fight.

Chase appeared next to me taking down wolves with ease these rogues weren't good fighters my warriors were getting the upper hand rather fast.

Some started to pull back as we gained more control,

"I want one alive! " I called to Chase.

He currently had a rogue down he was about to snap its neck but I need to replace out why they attacked us and who planned it I had a gut feeling it was that dam Alpha but I need confirmation when I get it he's mine! "Alpha they're retreating!" one warrior calls out.

Dropping the dead wolf I had my teeth sunk into his neck I look up seeing them running.

"Follow them! We need to know how they got in!" I called out seeing some of my warriors take off after them

"REINS!"

Her screams rang in my head so loud that the fear I felt through the bond dropped me in my spot. "Alpha!" Chase had shifted and kneeled next to me.

My wolf whimpered as I lay on the ground. The fear was so strong it caused me to shift back.

"Autumn," I whispered to no one but myself.

"Alpha, Alpha!" I could hear someone calling when the person fell to their knees next to me I slowly turned my head it was Autumn's mother, the fear I was feeling slowly dying down I could breathe again. "Please help us! They are all hurt please" she cried out,

Looking at her I could see she was covered in blood at that sight and the fact I could smell my mate's blood made something snap in my wolf rage ripped through us. "Where?" was all I said.

She got up running I followed with Chase right on my heels.

As we rounded the corner of the house the smell of blood hit me. There on the ground were Keaton Matt and Zach.

Helen ran dropping to next to Matt she picked his head up holding it in her lap.

Chase goes to Keaton and we see he's the only one awake he's on his side holding his arm he's bloody.

"Alpha, I'm sorry," He coughs out blood.

"Help him please," Helen cries I'm next to him he's bleeding from his chest when I go to press on his wound to slow the bleeding I pick up on an odd scent. "Chase!"

"Yes, Alpha I smell it,"

"Smell what?" Helen asked

"Sliver!"

I started looking at Matt's wound I see he was stabbed square in the chest the wound is deep he bleeding badly.

Glancing over to Zach he's still out I see he's got a gash on his cheek and his arms then I notice his leg he still had the knife stuck in it.

I grab Helen's hand placing it on Matt's wound hold here keep pressure on it.

I move to Zach I reach for the knife once I touched it I felt the burn. Quickly grabbing it I pulled it out throwing it on the ground.

Blood starts gushing out his leg looking around I see Matt's belt moving over to him I pulled it off him moving it back over to Zach I wrap it around the top part of his leg pulling it right as I can. "Chase we need help!"

Just then I see Oscar running over a doctor,

"Alpha!" The doctor heads towards me.

"I'm fine help him first I point to Matt he had the worst wound out of the three.

"Alpha what happen?" Oscar asked as he was helping stop the bleeding on Zach's other wounds.

"I don't know Keaton is the only one awake and he's barely able to talk,"

"Alpha wheres Autumn?"

Feeling the ping in my chest.

"I don't know she's not here I can smell her blood though,"

"Can you link her?"

"I haven't tried I've been here with these three,"

"Alpha we need to move him he's bleeding out and I can smell sliver,"

"Do it!"

I hear some more people coming toward us. They go to help move Matt. "Helen stay with him,"

"What about Zach?" She says as she starts to move towards him.

"I've got him you stay with your mate,"

She looks torn like she wants to go with her mate but she is worried about her son.

"Helen go get checked out you have blood all over you,"

She hesitates for a minute then nods following the guys who carried her mate.

"Alpha, I got Keaton ill take him to the clinic," I hear Chase

Looking over he got Keaton up helping him walk I see Chase's mate come running as she helps him hold Keaton up.

"Oscar we need to get him to the clinic,"

"ALPHA!" Nick Kelly and Brad come running.

"Help Oscar," was all I said as I stood back up letting them pick him up.

As they walked away I took a minute to look around I can see there was a good fight then my eyes landed on the knife laying on the ground.

Looking for something I see a piece of ripped shirt I take it picking the knife up.

"Reins," Her voice sounded in my head.

"Autumn! Where are you?"

"Reins, Reins please!"

Then her voice was gone.

"Autumn! Autumn!" I call her again.
