Alpha's Girl
New arrival

The next day I take Lexi to the pack doctor. Usually people would have to make an appointment then wait in the lobby for a long time but being Alpha comes with it’s perks. We get in with no problem but have to wait for Doctor Joyce to get in before the appointment can actually start. Lexi lays on the cot staring at the ceiling with her hands over her stomach. This morning her morning sickness was even worse. We almost couldn’t come today.

“Do you feel better?” I ask. She looks at me and nods. I’m about to press more but then Doctor Joyce walks in so I decide not to.

“Good morning Alpha, Luna. I hear you have a pup on the way.” She comments.

“Yes.” I answer.

“Okay!” She says excitedly. “Then let’s get you an ultrasound and see you little pup.” She starts pulling out equipment and a weird gel that she squeezes on Lexi’s hare stomach. “Just look at the screen. You should be able to see the pup soon.” Lexi and I turn our head to look and see the tiny little blob in her stomach. “Do you two want to know the gender?” Doctor Joyce asks.

“Yes.” Lexi says.

“Congratulations Alpha and Luna, you’re having a little boy!” I beam with pride and so does Lexi. “Okay so I want you to stay well rested. I understand you will need to run your wolf but try not to do it very often and not for long distances. Once you hit the final stages you won’t be able to shift at all.”

“How far along do I look?” Lexi asks, sitting up and wiping the gell off her stomach.

“For humans you’d be about three months along already. You’ll start to show soon.” Joyce assures. Lexi’s head rolls to the side so she can look at me.

“Are you happy?” She asks throughout the mind link. I smile.

“I’m more than happy Lexi. I couldn’t have asked for anything better than you and our pup.” Tears brim Lexi’s eyes as she goes back to looking at the screen.

“We’re going to have a pup.” She whispers to herself. I can see the moment her eyes spark with love for our unborn son and the moment she fully accepts our child being here so soon after mating.

When we get home Lexi goes upstairs to take a bath while I go to my office. Maxon is already there when I enter. The seriousness in his eyes has me on edge instantly. “Alpha, we need you at the borders now.” He says urgently.

“Why? What’s going on?” I ask.

“Two wolves have requested entry to our pack.” He tells me.

“And?” I prompt.

“And I’m pretty sure they’re the same people who were seen in the forest a few days ago.”

“I need to get Lexi. I’ll meet you at the border in five.” Maxon nods and hurries away. I bolt up the stairs to the bedroom and replace Lexi in the bath like she said. When she sees me she lights up. “We need to leave.” I tell her urgently. Her smile fades and I mentally kick myself.

“Why? What’s wrong?” She asks, standing up and wrapping a towel around herself.

“Someone is at the border asking to be let in and I don’t want to leave you here unprotected just in case something happens.” I tell her as I pull her down the stairs. She hurries to keep pace with me. Soon we reach the edge of the forest and together we shift. Lexi is slower than usual since our pup drains her energy faster but she still keeps pace with me. Finally we reach the borders where most of my warriors are all ready. I shift but Lexi stays, making sure to keep next to me at all times. As my pack members move out of our way I see a tall man with blond hair and bright blue eyes just like Lexi’s. Because this is her father. “Who are you?” I demand in my Alpha voice.

“I think you already know the answer to that, Alpha Jackson.” The man laughs humorlessly, the scar on his cheek stretching out. Lexi tenses next to me.

“If you’re who I think you are I suggest you leave before I kill you.” I growl.

“I’m not here to harm anyone, Alpha. I’m just here to meet my daughter.” His eyes wander to the white wolf next to me. “Never in all my years did I ever imagine I would have a white wolf for a daughter.” He whispers. “You’re absolutely beautiful Alexis.” She lets out a growl.

“And who is the woman?” I ask, taking his attention away from a very pissed Lexi. Henry smiles at the redhead next to him.

“This is my other daughter. Abigail.” He tells me. The redhead bows her head in respect. “She’s just a little younger than Alexis. About six months younger.” Lexi growls ever louder and shifts back.

“How could you do this to my mother? Your mate!” She yells, glaring daggers at both strangers.

“Alexis-” She cuts Henry off by shifting back and hiding behind me. “Alexis, please don’t be mad at me. I promise there’s a good reason for what I did.” He tries again. She snaps her gaws at him and I can’t help but laugh a little.

“Why come back now Henry?” Maxon asks suddenly. “After all these years? There has to be a reason.”

“I just want to get to know my daughter. Alexis deserves her father and she deserves to get to know her sister. Even if she is only half.” Henry tells him.

“Let them in.” Lexi says through our link.

“Why?” I ask, astonished.

“Abigail did nothing wrong and I refuse to let her be rough because of me. Henry is just an add on.” She sighs heavily, her energy draining fast. I give her a small nod that know one sees.

“You are allowed to enter my pack. I’ll allow the both of you to stay in a guest house for the time being. But both of you have very little chances. If I replace out that you did something, you’re out.” I warn.

“Thank you Alpha Jackson.” Henry bows his head along with Abigail.

“Maxon, take them to one of the houses. And make sure they’re comfortable.” I order. Maxon nods and leads them away. Lexi looks drained as we walk home together. I make her lay down for a nap and she falls asleep instantly. Today was hard on her but I have a feeling tomorrow will be worse.
