Alpha's love
Reunited

Aria felt a searing pain in her stomach and then a gush of blood and her eyes shot open and she spotted him. Tears flooded her eyes unwillingly and he leaned over her his own eyes gleaming as well. Her wolf was going ecstatic with joy and Aria felt the tears increase as she tried to form words in her throat.

"I......I.....love you." She stuttered surprised by her own words nearly as much as Marcus was. His surprise quickly melted away into joy and she saw his wolf come forward in his eyes as he leaned over and kissed her gently on the lips before turning his eyes to the wound that was quickly healing at her side thanks to her wolf, Milean, who had come out of hiding since seeing her mate alive again.

The silence outside reminded Aria that while her mate was alive, her other pack members may not be. She hoisted herself off the table, cringing at the slight pain in her side before looking at Marcus her eyes urgent as she searched for Eve with her mind link. "Marcus, the rouges came and attacked us. Come on we have to go." Marcus's eyes darkened at her words and grasped her hand tightly before the two made their way quickly to the door which had been torn nearly off its hinges by the rogue that lay dead behind them. Their eyes searched the damage before them with the an eerie calm demeanor that came with being an alpha.

Blood stained the grass before them, from the smell of it most of it was rogue blood, much to their relief. The battle however, was over. A few small fires started by rogues in human form dotted the yard and some of the buildings had small burnt spots but most of the damage had happened on the rouges side. Several of them lay dead scattered around the yard, while a few of their (Aria and Marcus's) pack members were chasing off the rest, showing no mercy with their teeth and claws. She saw Eve and Blake leaning against one another in human form each wrapped in a blanket, their wounds already healed as they spotted their alphas standing together. Shock was written across both of their faces before Eve gave a squeal, bounding over to wrap Aria in a hug,

"I'm so happy for you! Goddess be blessed she told me you were a chosen one, and now I can see that because she has given you your mate back!" She turned and beamed at Marcus before giving him a brief hug which earned herself a small growl from Blake who wrapped his arms around Eve who giggled in reply. Aria quirked her eyebrow at Eve who was acting like a schoolgirl who had won over her crush, and secretly hoped that she would never act like that with Marcus.

Eve cleared her throat, pulling herself from Blake's arms as she addressed both of the alphas, "Damage is minimal, as you can see. Five wolves total were majorly injured, but they will live. With our packs combines forces the rouges didn't stand a chance. We took some prisoners, as I figured you would want me to." She looked at Blake who nodded at her, his face grim, before she continued. "Eric...well these wolves weren't with him. They were attacking on someone else's orders that's why we took hostages." Aria looked over at Marcus who didn't seem surprised by the news. She looked at him questionaly before he spoke, his voice grim.

"I know. The moon goddess came to me while I was dead. She said that there was a bigger threat coming, that we weren't out of the clear yet." He looked at Aria with a gentle smile on his face as he continued watching her reaction, "She said that you were a piece of her, that you will lead us to victory." Aria's eyes widened in shock as she registered what Marcus was saying before giving a quick nod.

"We should meet later, all of us. The packs deserve to know what is happening, or at least what we know is happening. I....I can't think about what the moon goddess said right now, its to much. Perhaps if I am blessed enough she will come to me in sleep soon and tell me." Everyone looked at Aria with warm smiles on their faces and Aria took a deep breath to clear her mind before her and Marcus set to work.

There wasn't too much to do after the fight. The bloody grass would be washed away by the storm that was threatening to burst any minute and the dead bodies had been toted off to the edge of a cliff where they had thrown them off, a fitting burial for tratitours wolves who had attacked a pack without remorse. The few wolves who had been injured were nearly healed by now, resting in the hospital where Aria had swept up the glass and taken the body of rogue to the edge of the cliff with the others.

Both packs were now inside Aria's house eating burgers and hotdogs that had been grilled by Marcus on their inside grill. Aria had wandered in to help in but she mostly just sat on the counter and watched him fly around, pausing every now and then to briefly kiss Aria on the lips before ghosting off to flip burgers or chop lettuce. They had yet to talk about him coming back to life, the shock of it still settling for the both of them. One thing was for certain, their bond was only growing stronger, and his death had only bonded them even closer. Aria's hesitance to be with her mate was fading, but still there nonetheless. She wanted to be with her mate so much, that was clear to her but she didn't know how it would affect her pack and her position as alpha. She most definitely didn't want to give up being alpha, and leave her pack to be with Marcus and as she sat in the kitchen she pondered other options.

After the whole pack had gotten their food, Marcus made his way over to Aria where he braced his hands on either side of her waist where she sat on the counter and leaned in, resting his chin on her shoulder for a long moment before pulling away. "I want to mark you." He said simply, his face serious as he watched her mouth drop open slightly at his bluntness. He grinned as she blushed furiously, "Being dead and realizing that I would never see you again until you died and joined me made me realize how much I loved you. If your not ready for me to mark you, I will wait." His tone was sincere as he responded and Aria melted into him a little bit and he wrapped his arms around her before continuing. "You've changed me for the better Aria. Before I met you I thought that I would just mark my mate and we would live happily ever after. I figured if I had to force her to come live with me then I would, and she would eventually love me. I see now that thinking things could be that simple was foolish, but I want this to work. For you, no matter how hard we have to work for it." His words were loud enough for the both of the packs in the room to hear and several of the woman sighed at Marcus's sweet words. Aria felt herself fall a little more in love with Marcus as he finished his sentimental speech. He had put everything on the line, despite not knowing how she would respond and it made her heart pull. She pulled back and looked at him, embracing her wolf who was screaming at her in her head as she responded.

"I.......Aria"

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying my book, please give me your feedback. this is my first novel, I have some writing experience but have only recently started to embrace it by joining Wattpad and Narugi.com as a writer not just a reader. What do you think is going to happen? Will she reject him even after everything, or will she accept him?
