Alphas regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna -
Rejected Luna 41
Chapter

"Do you know what you've done?" Silas asked, his voice sharp and commanding.
Billy crossed his arms over his chest and shrugged. "They deserved it."
I sucked in a breath, shocked at the venom in his tone. "What are you talking about?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly. "They shouldn't be here!" Billy snapped, his voice rising. "They don't belong in this house. You don't belong here either. My mom should be Luna, not you!"
illy!" Silas roared, his Alpha voice echoing through the hall. "You attacked innocent children because of your jealousy?"
Billy's lip trembled, but he didn't back down. "It's her fault!" He pointed at me. "She took my mom's place! She took everything!"
I stared at him, stunned by the raw hatred in his words. Silas looked like he was barely holding onto his temper.
"You will kneel," Silas commanded, his Alpha voice heavy with authority.
Billy's knees buckled instantly, and he collapsed to the floor. Tears streamed dou
his face, but he still managed to glare at me through them.
"You will kneel here until dawn," Silas continued. "And you will not eat.
This behavior is unacceptable, and you must learn the consequences of your actions."
Billy sobbed but didn't say another word.
Silas turned to me, his face softening slightly. "Is this punishment enough for you?"
I looked at Billy, his small body trembling as he knelt on the cold floor.
Part of me felt bad for him-he was just a child-but the sight of my daughters' bruises flashed in my mind. My anger flared again.
"I'll take Joanne and Joy upstairs to check on their wounds," I said coldly, avoiding Silas's question. I wasn't ready to answer him. Silas nodded stiffly, stepping aside to let me pass. I gathered Joanne and Joy in my arms, carrying them up the stairs to my room.
Once we were inside, I set them gently on the bed and inspected their injuries.
Joanne winced as I touched the bruise on her arm, and Joy sniffled quietly.
"Does it hurt a lot?" I asked softly.
Joanne shook her head. "It's okay, Mama. We're strong."
Her bravery brought tears to my eyes, but I blinked them away. "You shouldn't have to be strong like this," I said, my voice trembling. "This shouldn't have happened."
Joy clung to my arm, her small fingers gripping tightly. "Mama, we don't want you to marry Silas," she said, her voice barely a whisper.
I froze, my heart sinking. "Why do you say that, sweetheart?"
Joanne looked at me with wide, serious eyes. "We like Branwen better. He makes us feel safe. Silas doesn't."
I took a deep breath, struggling to keep my emotions in check.
"I promise you," I said, stroking their hair gently, "this won't last much longer.
I'll make sure everything is okay, and we'll go back to Silver Lake Pack with Branwen."
The girls nodded, their trust in me unwavering. It was both comforting and a heavy burden.
That night, I struggled to sleep.

Alpha's Regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna
Chapter 41
The events of the day replayed in my mind, and every time I closed my eyes, I saw the bruises on my daughters' faces. I tossed and turned, unable to replace peace. Suddenly, a loud noise shattered the silence. I bolted upright, my heart pounding. It sounded like something heavy had fallen.
I threw on a robe and rushed
my room, my feet moving quickly down the hallway.
As I turned the corner, I saw
spacing back and forth, his face pale and filled with panic.
"What happened?" I asked, my voice
with fear.
"It's Billy," Silas said, his voice strained. "He... he jumped from the second floor balcony. He tried to-" His voice broke, and he shook his head. "He's been taken to the hospital." stomach dropped, and for a moment, I couldn't breathe. "Is he-7"
"He's alive," Silas said quickly. "But his injuries are serious."
Without another word, we rushed to the ca
and drove to the hospital.
The ride was tense and silent, Silas gripping the steering wheel tightly. I could see the guilt and fear etched into his features.
When we arrived, a doctor met us in the waiting room. His expression was grim but not hopeless.
"Billy is stable," the doctor said. "He has several broken bones, but he will recover. However, he's asking for his mother." Silas's jaw tightened. "That's not possible."
The doctor hesitated. "He's in a fragile state, both physically and emotionally. Seeing her might help him."
I glanced at Silas, seeing the conflict in his eyes. He hated Lena for what she had done, but Billy was his son. "We need to think about this carefully," I said, trying to remain calm.
Silas nodded, running a hand through his hair. "We'll let him see her," he said finally. "But only for a short time."
