Alphas regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna -
Rejected Luna 45
Chapter 45
Silas ordered Lena and Billy to be taken into custody on the spot. His voice was cold and commanding, leaving no room for argument.
The guards moved swiftly, seizing them as they tried to protest. Lena's face was pale, and her once smug expression was replaced with shock and fear. Billy struggled against their grip, but it was futile. "Take them to the prison," Silas growled, his eyes blazing with anger. "They will answer for their crimes."
I stood silently, my body weak and aching, but my heart swelled with a sense of vindication.
Finally, the people who had tormented me would face justice. Silas turned to me, his stern expression softening.
need to be taken care of," he said, his voice gentler now. "I'm taking you back to the hospital. A professional pack doctor will look after you."
I wanted to argue, to tell him I was fine, but my body betrayed me. Exhaustion and pain from the smoke inhalation and burns made it impossible to refuse.
Silas placed a steady hand on my shoulder, guiding me to the car.
At the hospital, the pack doctor examined me thoroughly, his brow furrowed in concentration.
After a series of questions and some tests, he finally spoke.
"You're lucky," he said, his tone serious but reassuring. "Thanks to Branwen saving you in time, the burns are minor and won't leave lasting scars. However, you've inhaled a significant amount of smoke. You'll need to stay here for a while to recover fully."
I nodded reluctantly, grateful for Branwen's timely rescue but frustrated by my weakened state.
The thought of staying in a hospital bed while everything unfolded outside made me feel restless.
Silas visited me every day, sitting by my side and keeping me company. He often brought small gifts or stories about the pack to lift my spirits.
His presence was comforting, and for a moment, I started to feel at peace.
But on this particular day, Silas didn't come. Instead, Branwen walked into the room, carrying a tray of food.
"Silas couldn't make it today," he explained, setting the tray down on the table. "He's at the prison.
He released Lena and Billy this morning and is preparing for their public punishment."
My heart skipped a beat. "Public punishment?" I asked, sitting up in bed despite the effort it took.
"Yes," Branwen said, his voice calm. "Silas is making sure the pack sees justice served. Lena and Billy will answer for their crimes in front of everyone."
I felt a rush of emotions-excitement, anticipation, and a deep sense of satisfaction.
After all these years, Lena was finally going to face the consequences of what she had done to me. I couldn't let this moment pass without being there to witness it. "I want to go," I said firmly.
Branwen's eyes widened in surprise. "You're not well enough," he said. "You need to rest and recover."
"I'm fine," I insisted, swinging my legs over the side of the bed. "I can't miss this, Branwen. I need to see her punished. Don't you understand?"
He hesitated, his expression torn. "You've been through so much already. You should focus on getting better."
"I am better," I said, standing up carefully to prove my point. I took a few steps toward him, determined to show him I was strong enough. "See? I can walk just fine." Branwen sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "You're stubborn, you know that?"

Chapter 45
"Please, said, my voice softer now. "I need to see this. For closure."
After a long pause, he finally nodded. "Alright. But you have to promise me you'll take it easy. If you feel even the slightest bit unwell, we're leaving immediately."
"I promise," I said, relief washing over me.
The center square of the Snowtooth Pack was alive with energy when we arrived,
The crowd had gathered around the raised platform in the middle, their voices a mix of anger and anticipation.
I stayed close to Branwen, leaning on him slightly for support as we made our way to a spot near the edge of the square.
On the platform stood Lena and Billy, their hands and feet bound with heavy cuffs.
Lena's face was pale, her eyes darting around nervously as if searching for a way out. Billy looked equally terrified, his head hanging low.
Silas stood tall and imposing beside them, his voice cutting through the noise of the crowd as he addressed everyone.
"Today, we stand together as a pack to deliver justice," Silas said, his voice loud and clear, reaching every corner of the square.
