Alphas regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna -
The Rejected Luna 68
Chapter 68
Lena POV
"Excuse me," I called out as he emerged from the water, shaking droplets from his hair. "Do you know Lorelei?"
The man nodded with a smile. "Of course. Everyone here knows her. She even gave me some swimming tips once. She's incredible in the water."
My heart sank at his words, but then he added something that made my breath catch.
"She wasn't always like that, though," he said thoughtfully.
ben she first came here three years ago, she was terrified of water. Wouldn't go near it."
I blinked, unable to hide my shock. "Three years ago?"
He nodded again. "Yeah. It's hard to believe now, but she worked hard to overcome her fear. She's been part of this pack ever since."
I thanked him and walked away, my mind racing.
Three years ago... That was exactly when Rowena had disappeared.
The pieces of the puzzle were slowly coming together, and the picture they formed was both shocking and impossible to ignore.
My mind raced as I connected the dots, each one adding to the growing suspicion in my heart.
Lorelei and Rowena had the exact same face, every feature, every detail was identical.
It wasn't just a passing resemblance; they could have been the same person.
Both of them had shared a fear of water too, something so specific it felt like more than just coincidence.
Rowena had always been terrified of lakes and rivers, and now I had learned that Lorelei had once been the same way when she first arrived here.
Then there was the timing. Lorelei had appeared in the Silver Lake Pack three years ago, the exact same time Rowena had vanished without a trace.
How could that be just a coincidence? The more I thought about it, the more the pieces seemed to fit together perfectly, like a puzzle revealing a truth I didn't want to believe.
My head spun with the realization. Could it really be true? Could Lorelei actually be Rowena?
If she was, why was she pretending to be someone else?
Why would she hide her identity and start a new life here in the Silver Lake Pack?
The questions buzzed in my mind, each one more confusing than the last.
It felt as if the ground beneath my feet was shifting, and I wasn't sure what to think anymore.
The idea that Lorelei could actually be Rowena excited me more than I expected.
It was like everything I had been wondering about suddenly clicked into place.
As I pieced the information together, the picture that formed in my mind was shocking and hard to believe.
If Lorelei was really Rowena, that would mean she and Branwen weren't siblings as everyone thought. That was a huge revelation.
If they weren't siblings, then their close relationship must have been something else entirely, perhaps an affair.
The more I thought about it, the more everything made sense.
Rowena's return, which had seemed so mysterious and out of nowhere, wasn't just a random event.
No, it was deliberate. Rowena hadn't come back by chance.

Chapter 68
She had come back with a purpose: to get revenge on me and Silas.
She had been planning this for a long time, waiting for the right moment to strike.
It was all becoming clear now. She wanted to make us pay for everything we had done to her, and she was using Lorelei as part of her plan. The realization sent a surge of adrenaline through my body. I had to act quickly.
I immediately gathered all the gamma warriors, all of them as loyal to me as ever. We were leaving the Silver Lake Pack right away. There was no time to waste. My destination was clear: I had to replace Silas, and I had to expose Lorelei's true identity to him.
He needed to know the truth about her.
assumed Silas was still on the run, hiding somewhere, but as we made our way back to the Snowtooth
Pack, I was shocked by what I found. Silas had returned.
His absence had caused quite a stir in the pack, but now he was back, and everything seemed to have calmed down.
The tension had lifted, and I noticed something different about him.
There was no longer any fear in his eyes, no more worry that Alpha King might be coming after him.
It seemed like Silas had regained some control, and that was not a good sign for me.
I didn't waste any time. I headed straight for Evans Group, Silas's office. I had to talk to him, and I needed to do it now.
When I walked into his office, I was taken aback. It was much smaller than I remembered.
The decorations were no longer extravagant. In fact, everything seemed... simpler.
