Chapter 58
Luna’s P.O.V.
groaned in pain as all the muscles in my b*dy felt so stiff that I was not able to move. Why was I so stiff? I tried to open my eyes, and slowly I managed to open them without feeling pain. My vision was blurred, making me blink my eyes to clear my vision. The white ceiling of the room welcomed my vision, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion.
Where was I? It was not my room. I moved my eyes to see clearly where I was. I slowly moved my n*eck, and it was when I noticed the faint beeping of a machine. I slowly moved my n*eck in the direction of the machine and sighed when I saw the machine beside my bed. I was in the hospital. But why?????
I tried to recall my last memories before I fainted. I shuddered when all the memories hit the back of my mind hard. I remembered going back from the Royal Pack with Theo. I remembered the attack on us in the midway. I remembered fighting with vampires, and hybrids with Killian and Theo. I remembered seeing a vampire getting close to Theo enough to bite him. I attacked him, and he bit me in a fit of rage. I jerked my head when I realized that my memories were not cleared after I was bitten while saving Theo.
I sighed and closed my eyes once again. I was really lucky that I was still alive. Crystal would have screamed in pain if she had been in control. I snapped my eyes. open in horror when I remembered Crystal. Where was she? Why didn’t I hear her. when I opened my eyes? “Crystal,” I called her in the back of my mind in panic.
“Let me sleep a little more,” I heard a murmur in a sleepy tone. “O My!” I exclaimed aloud in relief and took a few deep breaths. “Thank Goddess, Crystal, you are okay,” I said in relief, and saw her opening her eyes slowly. She frowned in confusion in the beginning, as if she didn’t recognize me. “Luna… is that you?” she asked me in a daze, still trying to figure out the situation.
“Of course, dummy, it’s me,” I answered her in a sassy tone. Her eyes suddenly popped out of their sockets in shock, and she immediately jumped on her feet. “O My Goddess! You… You woke up,” she screamed in a happy tone, and I laughed at her childish behaviour. “Of course, honey. I am back,” I answered her in the same tone. We both visualized hugging each other, and she held me tightly in her embrace. It was just our imagination, but it felt real to me.
I wrapped my hands around her torso and continued laughing. Suddenly, she started crying bitterly while holding me in her embrace. “Hey…. What’s wrong? Why are you crying, huh? I am okay. We are okay,” I tried to comfort her, and she

shook her head negatively. “I…. I thought that I lost. I called you so many times, but you didn’t answer. It was so…. So dark here…. a… and I.. I was scared to death,” she replied to me, and I sighed internally.
“I am sorry, my love. You remember that we were bitten by a vampire? I couldn’t give control to you at that time because our human strength couldn’t take the blow,” I replied to her once again in an apologetic tone while explaining my action back then.
“We were bitten thrice, not once, Luna,” she said to me, and my eyes widened in shock. I broke our hug and looked at her with raised brows in shock. “Thrice?” I asked her to confirm, and she nodded. “You started hallucinating after a few seconds after the first bite, and that was when the two vampires with whom we were fighting bit us. You finished one of them, as someone attacked the second one. We lost our consciousness right after that,” she told me everything that happened to us on the battlefield.
“You not only saved both of us, but you saved our mate too, Luna. I am so proud of you,” she continued, and I felt tears in my eyes. Suddenly, I narrowed my eyes in confusion when I noticed darkness in her complexion. “Why are you like this, huh?” I asked her in confusion, and she sighed aloud. “I woke up long ago, but stayed trapped here,” she answered me truthfully, and I felt a squeeze inside my chest. I could imagine how scared she would have been all this time.
“I am sorry…. I am really sorry. I should have switched control before losing consciousness,” I apologized once again, but she shook her head negatively. “I am not complaining, Luna. I am really happy to see you again, to feel you again. You don’t know how scared I was when I called you, but you didn’t answer me. I was really scared to death,” she replied to me in a worried tone. “Crystal,” I slowly opened my eyes again when I heard someone calling my name. It was an unfamiliar voice.
I saw a strange man standing beside my bed with an expressionless face. “Who are you?” I asked him in a hoarse, but cautious voice. He didn’t answer me but took something from the table. “Here….. drink this. You will feel at ease,” he instructed me in a gentle tone with no expression though. He was about to slide his hand. under my n*eck when I grabbed his wrist.
“I asked you a question, Mister. Who are you, and what are you doing in my room?” I asked him in a cold, and hoarse tone. He just stared at me blankly. “You are in the pack hospital of the Royal Pack. I am assigned to take care of you by your father. Drink some water first, and then I will inform the others that you are awake, or if you can, you can mind link thern right now to remove the suspicion,”

he answered me, and I raised my brows in surprise.
I got it why I was once again in the Royal Pack, but who was this man? I never saw him before, but his scent was quite familiar to me. I just couldn’t remember where I scented it earlier. “Do you know him?” I asked Crystal, and she also shook her head negatively. “No… but I agreed about his scent. Although I couldn’t see or hear anything because of your unconsciousness, I vaguely remembered his scent. around us all this time,” she answered me, and I took a deep breath.
“Please… drink some water first,” he requested this time, and I nodded once. He slid his hand under my n*eck, and I didn’t flinch at his touch. His touch was not repulsive, and I felt that I could trust him. It was really strange, but I decided to mind–link Theo after drinking some water. He gently held the back of my head. and helped me sit up.
My b*dy was still stiff, but I was okay. “For how long was I out?” I asked him in the same hoarse tone. “For seven days,” he answered me while putting the glass on my l*ps. “Seven days?” I asked him in surprise, and he nodded while gesturing for me. to drink some water first.
I drank some mouthful of water and moaned softly in delight. My throat was completely dry and the coziness of the warm water soothed it. I bobbed my head after drinking some water. He removed the glass from my l*ps, and then slowly put my head down on the pillow again. He removed his hand from my head and put the glass on the table beside the bed.
“What time is it?” I asked him when I saw the darkness of the night outside the window of my room. I guess I was on the third floor of the pack hospital. “It’s three in the morning,” he told me, and I took a deep breath. I then looked back at him. “You are her wolf,” he suddenly said, and I looked at him with a calm gaze.
There was a small smile on his l*ps, and he was looking at me in admiration. “So?” 1 asked him carelessly. He chuckled and sat down on the stool beside the bed. “I heard about you a lot, and it was really a surprise to talk with a wolf just like I am talking with a human,” he explained truthfully, and I grimaced. “They said you are special. Now I know why.” he continued, and I was now really pissed off with him.
“Aren’t you nosy, opposite to your character?” I asked him in a mocking tone, and he raised my brows in surprise. “I asked you about your identity, but you didn’t tell me. I can say that you are alpha, and your wolf is strong, as I can’t go through him right now. Your scent is familiar to me, but I am not able to pinpoint where I met you which is so unlike me. I have a photogenic memory, but you,” I paused while looking at him without blinking my eyes so that I couldn’t miss any change in his expression, but there was none.

“Are not in my memories. So care to tell who you are now.” I asked him in a stern tone while looking at him with a cold gaze. This has had a calm expression on his face all this time. “What’s your name?” he asked me instead of answering me, and I felt like losing control now. “Luna,” I still answered, trying to keep myself calm. “We never met him, Luna,” Crystal said in a calm tone, but her statement was enough to make me raise my brows once again.
“We never met, Luna,” he said, and I chuckled dryly. “I know,” I said in a cold tone. this time. He was not an enemy, but I didn’t know why I was having this feeling. that I was not going to like his introduction. He sighed and crossed his legs on his knees.
“Have you ever heard about the Night Crawl Pack?” he asked me in a calm tone, but it startled me. My eyes widened in shock when I realized who this person was. “I am the alpha of that pack, Alpha Nelson Rosewood,” he introduced himself in the same tone, and I immediately shot up from the bed.
“Be careful… you are still healing,” he said, álmost jumping on his feet and putting his hands on my shoulders. I yanked his hands away in anger. “Get away from me,” I roared at him angrily, but he didn’t budge. “Give me the control,” Crystal asked me in an angry tone, and I switched because now I couldn’t trust myself. “Relax… You are still under the influence of vampire serum. Your internal organs are still weak,” he said, putting me down on the bed again.
“You were the person who helped me during the attack,” Crystal said to him in a calm tone while I was breathing heavily, trying to calm myself. I sighed when I remembered that he was the one fighting back–to–back with me before I fainted on the battlefield. He had his back to me, and that was why I had no memories of his face.
“Yes…. that was me. I can’t let them kill you when, all my life, I did everything to keep your brother and this pack safe. I had no idea about your existence, and that’s why, I didn’t appear in your life earlier,” he replied to Crystal, and I snorted in disdain. The only thing that was still bothering me was why I didn’t feel threatened by his presence.
