Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep -

Chapter 78
Crystal’s P.O.V.
“I want to meet my mother, Nelson,” I asked Nelson in a low but firm tone. “We will attack him whenever you will want us to, my love. Just say the word. We are now capable enough to kill that ba****d and bring your mother back,” he answered me immediately in a calm tone. I looked in the other direction, trying to hide my tears from all of them. Almost everyone was here in my room. I was heartbroken once again.
“Don’t think too much, Crystal. Nothing can change the fact that you are my sister. We are born from the same mother, and this is the only thing that we should keep in our mind. Both my father and Nelson are her mates. So, there is nothing to be worried about or feel ashamed of,” Killian comforted me, and a tear escaped from my eyes. I blinked hard to keep the tears back before. looking back at Killian with a sad smile.
“I…. I know, brother…. Both I… I and Luna feel a strong sibling bond between. us. You are my brother, and I don’t doubt our bond. It… it’s just… just.” My voice choked in the end, making me pause. Theo immediately wrapped his hand around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. His touch
immediately relaxed me, but the pain and agony in my heart were beyond my tolerance.
“Are you ashamed th… that I am your father?” Nelson asked me in an anxious tone. I lowered my head and closed my eyes. Was I?
“No… we are not… We were born out of their love, and our mother didn’t cheat on her mate. The Moon Goddess gave her two mates, and this is not her fault,” Luna said in a firm tone. “This is not our fault either,” I said to her in a cracked tone. “Answer him, Crystal…. He is getting anxious, and I could feel his pain. He is thinking that we are ashamed of him as our father,” Luna urged me, and I immediately looked up towards Nelson.
I frowned when I saw tears in his eyes. He immediately lowered his eyes. Theo was still rubbing my arm to comfort me. Everyone was now looking at me anxiously. “You said by yourself that you are my mother’s first mate. Who am I to make any complaint about this, huh? The truth is that you are my father, and in fact,” I trailed and looked at Killian before looking back at Nelson.
Killian had no reaction, but Nelson looked nervous. “I have no complaints

about who my father is, and I acknowledged you as my father,” I finished what I wanted to say to him. The truth was that the fear that I felt from his aura was really suffocating. Just like others, he also found me after eighteen years. I could understand his fear and his pain. He had been searching for my mother for eighteen years.
He found her there… in that vampire’s castle, but couldn’t bring her back because she was in a coma state. He also assumed I was dead just like others, and being my father, it would be painful for him. He didn’t have the slightest idea that I was already born and was living a good life with William’s family when he was living every minute of his life in pain and desperation to bring her mate back.
“He mourned us for eighteen years,” Luna murmured this time again. “Why didn’t you tell me when you met me for the first time? You should have told me earlier,” I complained to him in a choked tone. He smiled bitterly with tears in his eyes. I gulped hard and closed my eyes in pain. This was the pain radiating from him that I was feeling in my heart right now.
“It was enough for me that you were in front of me, Crystal. Your safety is more important than your acknowledgement of me,” he answered me, and I smiled bitterly this time. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at her with a painful gaze. “You should rest now. You are still weak,” he said in a concerned. tone, and I pursed my l*ps into a thin line.
“Yeah… Nelson is right, Crystal. Your b*dy is still weak,” William said in a concerned tone too. I shook my head negatively, though. “I want to know why I have this craving for their blood. Both you and my mother are born werewolves. How did I get these traits of a vampire?” I asked him in a stern tone while looking straight into his eyes.
He sighed and looked at them, making me raise my brows at him. He told them already. “You are also a born werewolf, Crystal. It’s my guess that he started injecting her with a vampire serum after kidnapping her for the first time. It seemed that he experimented on your mother during that period, affecting you too in the process,” he answered me, and my eyes widened in shock.
“You… you mean to To say that… that,” I stuttered hard in fear, and he nodded when I paused. “You got this right, Crystal. Your mother is also a hybrid but there is something different in her from the early hybrids, making you too different from them,” he answered me and I raised my brows out of

curiosity this time. He sighed and stood up from the chair where he had been sitting until now.
“According to the data that Cynthia prepared all these years, early hybrids didn’t have a long life. They died within fifteen days, naturally, after they converted into hybrids. It seemed that their bodies refused the changes at a slow pace, killing them in the process. This time span, however, increased at a very slow rate all these years, and now they can survive for more than a month but less than two months if don’t get killed in a battle,” he said further, and now I was more curious to know about them.
“Catherine was also a part of the experiment eighteen years ago, and, she should have died by now. Yet, she is alive and in a healthy condition. I have read the reports of all the tests that the doctors and scientists of Marcus‘ coven ran on her from time to time so that they could understand the changes better. There are some changes in her blood, but they also still don’t know how she is still alive,” he continued, and I just blinke
while processing what he was telling us now.
“You mean to say that she is the lone survival of the first generation of these hybrids, right?” Vincent asked him, and he nodded. “Making Crystal another survival,” William spoke in a serious tone, and I gasped in shock. Theo immediately tightened his grip on me. Everyone was now looking at Nelson, who had a troubled expression on his face now. “I…. guess so,” he answered. with the same expression, and I just blinked while processing everything again.
“Did you feel anything odd when you woke up and found my mother and other werewolves around you?” Theo asked me, and I shook my head negatively. “No… there is nothing odd. I don’t have any cravings for blood right now too. I am hungry…. Agreed… But for food… not for blood,” I answered him in a calm tone.
“One thing that I really don’t understand is why she showed the traits of vampires now when she was already a hybrid when she was born. She hadn’t been given any serum in the past eighteen years. She must have shown these symptoms earlier… As earlier as she started feeding on mother’s milk?” Vincent asked in a confused tone, but his question piqued my curiosity too.
I looked at Nelson, who was now looking at Vincent with a troubled expression. “I can’t answer why she didn’t show the symptoms earlier. You are right, though. She was already a hybrid when she was born. So, she must have

craved blood even when she was an infant. As for vampire traits, I guess we did replace something different in her such as that she was a faster runner than any other wolf. Her hearing and smelling powers were also better than those of other werewolves, including the alphas,” Nelson answered in a hesitant tone, as he e was not sure about that.
I sucked in a breath when the realization hit me hard. He was right. I was. always better than others but never understood why. Alpha Adrian was never able to command me, not because I was a white wolf, but because I was a half- vampire, and an alpha can’t command a vampire. I felt tears in my eyes again, and Luna also whimpered in pain.
“No matter what you are, my love… you are only mine… don’t forget that we are together in everything.” Theo comforted me through mind–link, and I looked at him with tearful eyes. He smiled and k*ssed my forehead. I hid my face in the crook of his n*eck and sniffed harder this time.
“Crystal.” I moved my face towards Nelson, still having my forehead on Theo’s shoulder, when he called me. “By any chance that you bit a vampire or a hybrid during your fight with them for the first time?” he asked me, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion.
“I… really have no memory of any incident like that, Nelson. I mostly use my claws during combat instead of my canines. I just don’t like sinking my canines into anyone’s skin,” I answered him while shrinking my nose in disgust and he nodded while pursing his l*ps into a thin line. “What do you have in your mind?” Killian asked him this time.
Nelson sighed aloud and looked at us while moving his head. “You are still trying to figure out why Crystal craved the blood this time, right?” William asked him while cocking his brow. Nelson just nodded but didn’t use any words to answer him.
“Forget about everything now. We have to think about a detailed plan to attack Marcus and his coven. We have enough of his bulls**t,” Killian said in an angry tone, and I lifted my head up. “Killian is right. We didn’t know what was at stake earlier, but now we do. Our whole species is at stake here. We need to rescue our mother first before thinking about what to do with Marcus and his army of hybrids,” I supported Killian in a firm tone.
“No!” Nelson suddenly yelled, and both I and Killian looked at him with raised brows. “None of you will do anything. I will attack him and bring Catherine

back,” Nelson said in a stern tone. The next second, both I and Killian were in front of him, snarling at him in anger. I was a little quicker than Killian though.
“She is our mother, Nelson. There is no way that we will sit idle and do nothing when we know that our mother is still in danger,” I said to him in at stern and angry tone. He was about to say something when William spoke in a cold tone.c
“They are not alone in this, Nelson. We are also with them. We will strike him together.” William was also firm in his tone. “I and my pack are also with his Luna, Nelson,” Theo said while coming closer to me, and put his hand on my
lower back.
“Why aren’t you understanding the threat, pups?” Nelson said this again with. agitation. “We understand, Nelson…. But you have to understand. You are present, and we are the future of our world. We both have to work together to eliminate the threat from our next generation,” Vincent said in a calm tone, but my heart skipped a beat in fear.
Our next generation…. would my pups also be affected by what happened to me? Theo rubbed my back gently. “We are together in everything, love… just remember this, and don’t think anything else. Everything will be okay,” he comforted me once again through the mind link, making me take a deep breath.
