Otis's POV

"Come on, my daughter."

The woman's voice kept echoing in my head, her gentle voice made me feel like a warm breeze blowing on my body.

The endless silver moonlight shone on me, and her voice seemed to carry some kind of magic that left me with no control over my body.

I walked step by step towards the lake, I got closer and closer to her, and just when I thought I was going to touch her, she suddenly turned into silver moonlight and dissipated into the air. Where did that beautiful woman go?

My eyes looked around, but she already disappeared.

Her silvery gaze filled my body with peace of mind, and I was bathed in this light, gradually forgetting everything.

The flowers and plants emitting various colors around me, I have no way to resist this beauty, I am lost in this beauty, wandering in the forest, lakes and meadows, it seems that I also do not want to go out.

Time here is like a stuck hourglass, almost out of action, I do not know how long I have stayed, I feel as if the silvery glow more and more, and the warmth makes me almost want to fall asleep.

I want to stay here forever.

At the moment I had this thought, the silvery light had disappeared, and I vaguely felt I was lying on a bed, so I opened my eyes naturally.

What I saw was the chandelier on the ceiling, the light made me feel a little blinding, I slightly twisted my head, just in time to see the surprised man next to me.

The man's golden hair was dirty and scrunched together like a ball of golden wool, his short beard was like a weed covering half of his face, his eye sockets were filled with bloodshot, black circles under his eyes had showed his state, but he seemed so surprised. He looked like he hadn't slept for several days, I suddenly froze, it was Conrad, how he had become like this so I almost did not recognize him.

Seeing his appearance, I was also confused, I remembered his previous appearance, Conrad's hair was always soft and clean, always emitting a faint golden light under the sun, his chiseled face was smooth and perfect, and his eyes were as deep as the sea, you can always feel surprising power from his eyes.

But now he was so disheveled, which is unbelievable.

Is it because he is worried about me? Thinking about it I was confused again, I seem to have had a dream, I thought it has not been a long time, what is going on?

Before I could continue to think clearly, I saw Conard's face gradually become fierce.

"Ordinary warriors can not hurt me at all, you didn't need to do that, and now you have made yoursel after such a serious injury. You simply don't care about yourself, you are really brainless!"

After saying that, Conrad stood up from the side of my bed and turned his head away without a second thought, leaving only his back to me.

"You think you can impress me like this? It's simply impossible! Because you don't know your own strength before fighting a samurai, you're not only weak, you're also stupid."

After saying that, Conrad just opened the door and left, leaving me alone in the empty room.

The cold wind outside the door blew in through the opened door, and I couldn't help but wrap the sheets tightly around me, and my eyes seemed to be a little moist inside.

I was trying to save his life. How could he do this to me?

I felt an overwhelming sadness. I could never have imagined that the first words I heard when I woke up were actually his angry accusations.

Was I still too useless? Thinking about it, after all, it was because I was caught in the Black Night wolf pack that he took the trouble to save me back.

My strength is still too weak, and I can't even bite through the skin of an enemy as strong as Robert, so I have to become stronger.

I lifted the sheet, I am now going to the training ground for training, but just when my feet touched the ground, I felt dizziness coming from my head. What is this? I hurriedly put my hand on my head.

"My God, you actually woke up so quickly, and you've just woken up, why are you getting out of bed? Why don't you put the blanket on!"

Just at this moment, I saw a middle-aged female doctor rushing in anxiously, her voice carrying shock and eagerness, and directly holding my back with her hand.

"Otis, don't move around, do you know how badly you were hurt? I'm going to give you a full examination now, if you get out of bed before you recover from your injuries, you might hurt again and even leave some after-effects." Conrad's POV:

When I heard the doctors' words I almost collapsed, I felt my heart ache like hell, I couldn't imagine what would become of me if Otis didn't wake up.

I saw the doctors pushing a bed out, and the woman lying on it was Otis, and I couldn't control my impulse to walk up and grab the handrail on one side of the bed.

"Conrad, Otis will wake up, she is the mate assigned to us by Moon Goddess, she must have the blessing of Moon Goddess in her, we have to believe in her, believe in Moon Goddess."

I heard my wolf howling in my heart, although he seemed to be comforting me, I could actually hear the trembling in his words, he was afraid of losing Otis too.

Yes, Otis will be alright!

I repeated this phrase over and over again in my mind, pushing Otis' stretcher and taking her to the general ward.

When I arrived at the bedside, I picked up her body and tried to put her on the bed, but at this time I could feel some coldness in her body.

I felt a little panicked again, I hurriedly covered her body with the quilt, and then grabbed her slender palm.

Otis was not able to move, the doctors inserted an infusion bottle for her to maintain her vitality through nutritional fluids.

I silently looked at her pale cheeks and remembered the image of her blocking the warriors of the Black Night wolves.

How could she be so stupid, that warrior was an elite warrior of the Black Night Wolf Pack, she had been training for such a short time. How could she be a match for a warrior?

I couldn't control myself from thinking about it, I looked at Otis lying on the bed and felt heartache, I simply couldn't imagine what could I feel if she couldn't wake up.

Time was passing slowly, I felt as if I was sitting in the calm river of time, I felt that it was flowing slowly, but in fact, it had flowed away.

The sun overhead soon changed shifts with the moon, the first glimmer of darkness fell, and now it was night again.

During the day, I saw that some of my warriors had returned to the Blue-moon Pack, and they had brought back many prisoners and supplies.

Perhaps they had succeeded in breaking the Black Night Wolves and completing the follow-through, but I didn't want to bother with such things now; my men would naturally be able to take care of them.

I continued to stare at Otis, expecting her to open her eyes, but they were still tightly closed.

The time came late at night, the lights outside were going out one by one, the hustle and bustle outside were gradually returning to calm, only this room was still lit.

"Alpha Conrad, it's getting late, would you like to go back and rest? Our nurses will take care of Otis."

I saw a doctor walk in, but his voice reached my ears and made me feel incredibly annoyed. "Get out."

I didn't turn my head, still just gazing at the woman on the bed.

The doctor seemed startled at my words, he didn't dare disobey my order and left the room in a hurry.

I looked at the dazzling fluorescent light overhead, it seemed incompatible with the night, perhaps this light will affect the rest of the sleeping creatures in the dark, so I pressed the light switch so that I could only see the moonlight outside the window. I don't know how long it took, I just felt my fatigue deepening, they were like a pair of abyssal hands trying to pull me down, but my grief was far more intense than my fatigue.

The scenery outside the window kept changing, like a continuous movie, until another night completed its mission and ushered in the light again, I saw Otis's eyelids seem to flutter a little.

In this instant, it was as if my heart, which was about to fall asleep, was brought to life. My heart beat violently, and the next thing I saw was her eyes opening.

She woke up. Moon Goddess must have heard my prayer, which was able to bring her back to my side.

My heart was filled with amazement and joy, like a dried-up spring that had been rejuvenated. I was almost on the verge of holding her in my arms, but the next moment some anger appeared in my heart.

How could she make me worry so much? How could she be so careless? What should I do if she does something like this again next time?

I had no way to control my emotions, so my face showed fierceness.

"Ordinary warriors can not hurt me at all, you didn't need to do that, and now you have made yourself suffer such a serious injury. You simply don't care about yourself, you are really brainless!"

I stood up after saying that, I had no way to control myself from venting such emotions, but she had just woken up, and my reason told me that this was not the way to go.

So I turned around and once again couldn't help but vent a couple of words, and then left the place without looking back, afraid that I wouldn't be able to resist continuing to vent my emotions when I saw her face. Until I was far away from the hospital, I took two deep breaths.

No matter what, she is fine.
