Alpha’s Slave Luna -
Chapter 83
Otis's POV:
"You have no cure?"
Conrad's face became more ugly after hearing the doctor's words, and at this time the doctor's voice rang out again.
"Alpha Conrad, this plague is currently showing symptoms of only dizziness and coma, other symptoms have not yet manifested, maybe you can rely on your own immune ability to fight through the plague." The attending doctor lowered her head, her tone sounded very unconfident, but all he was greeted with was Conrad's unquestionable answer.
"My here is no say no, you go tell all doctors that a solution to this plague must be found, that's an order!"
Having said that, Conrad turned around, and the next thing I knew, I felt a warmth wrap around me.
"Otis, the Blue-moon Pack may have to face another crisis, this matter can not be delayed at all, and there is still the spy who fell outside that needs to be dealt with." Conrad's voice was gentle and had a hint of concern hidden in its tone.
"I have to make arrangements for the plague overnight, there should be no time to sleep tonight, you wait for me to return."
I froze for a moment when I heard his voice, then I stroked his sculpted cheek and looked into his dark blue eyes.
"Although the power of the wolf beads will protect you, but this plague is anyone's guess, sleeplessness will make the immune system drop, come back earlier."
Conrad's face broke into something of a smile after hearing my voice, then after leaving a deep kiss on my forehead, he turned and left with the doctor.
A cold wind blew over, and Conrad's back slowly blurred inside the darkness under the dim streetlight.
The Blue-moon Pack will surely be blessed by the moon god.
Looking at the direction he left I silently prayed, then looked at the wrapped Nell, he did not know when he had fallen asleep, his face still with some difficult expression, it seems to be a disaster without end. Maybe when the sun appears again tomorrow, things will turn around a bit.
Thinking of this I went to the door of this floor and closed the door to prevent the cold wind from continuing to blow in.
The old werewolf and the little boy were infected with the plague, I couldn't just leave them alone, at least until they were all awake.
I came to Nell's side once again and carried Nell, who was wrapped in a blanket, in my arms towards the stairs.
There was only one bed upstairs in their house, but it was a big one, perfectly capable of accommodating two people, and it looked like the little boy had been sleeping with the old werewolf. "Otis sister, Otis sister......"
Suddenly a soft voice sounded inside my ears, I had some surprised lowered head, but I found that Nell did not wake up.
Although he closed his eyes, but his face seems to have some panic, a hand is still towards the mid-air scratching.
Is he talking in his sleep?
Looking at his round, apple-like cheeks, I had some pain inside my heart, watching such a cute child infected with the plague, which is also a kind of t*****e for me. "It's okay, it's okay, my sister is here."
I gently comforted him, clutching his little hand in my own palm.
"Otis sister......
Perhaps my actions had an effect, the expression on Nell's face settled down a lot, his little hand stopped moving, and it looked like his panic had disappeared.
I sent a breath to carry him upstairs to the bed, just as I was about to pull my hand away, I found a force coming from my hand.
Nell had a death grip on my hand and didn't let go.
I looked at the sleeping him, there were some fluctuations in my heart, maybe I don't know when I became the hope in the heart of this little child less than ten years old. It's like the kind of light that Conrad has in my heart.
I showed a smile, touched his tender little face, then leaned his back on the bed.
Conrad will definitely replace a solution to the plague, the Blue-moon Pack has defeated one powerful enemy after another, and this time it will also defeat the plague.
I was recalling images from the past, thinking and praying in my head, and lost consciousness at some point.
This time it seems that I did not sleep very soundly, and was suddenly awakened by some violent movement before dawn.
It was someone knocking sharply at the door.
I subconsciously looked up at the time hanging on the wall, the time is not even seven o'clock, who would be knocking so sharply on the door?
I stood up from the bed, took a look at the little boy in the bed and found that he was still asleep, which reassured me a little, and then I walked downstairs. "Who's out there?"
"We are doctors, we heard that there are two infected with the plague in here, according to Conrad's orders, we have to send all the infected people to the isolation ward of the hospital!" Hearing their anxious voices heart astonished, then directly opened the door.
I saw a group of very specially dressed doctors standing at the front door, each of them with a mask on their faces and all their clothing sealed, even without a gap between their pants and shoes.
I couldn't see their faces completely, but through the transparency on top of their masks, I could see that each of them had some light black inside their eye sockets.
They had not slept this night.
A nervous feeling appeared in my heart, although the sunlight during the day made this side of the street appear a little warmer, but that sense of crisis never dissipated in my heart.
"An infected old werewolf is on the second floor, and there's a kid on the second floor."
"Thank you, Otis, everyone move fast, we have to investigate the infection of other residents!"
Right after I finished speaking, I saw these doctors quickly rushing into the room, two of the male doctors directly placed the old werewolf on a stretcher in the back and there was another doctor heading upstairs.
I watched their rapid movements suddenly appeared some worry.
"That little boy is still in my hands, I'll take him to the hospital, you all know I have a special constitution, I won't catch this plague."
"Okay, luna Otis, but don't let this child come in contact with anyone else."
These doctors looked at each other, they did not object and there was a tone of obedience to orders within their voices.
I looked at their appearance and froze for a moment, although Conrad had already announced it in front of many Blue-moon Pack clansmen before, but after all, the luna ceremony hadn't been held yet, and I didn't expect them to already use such a name and tone. After I was lost in thought for a moment, I quickly returned to my senses, the situation can not be delayed, and is not the time for me to think nonsense, thinking here I turned around and walked towards upstairs, then picked up the little boy. By the time I got downstairs again, most of the doctors had left, leaving only one to observe the situation.
"Let's go, the hospital situation is very complicated now, many injured warriors have not been treated yet, so now the hospital is divided into two areas, you will get lost if you go by yourself."
"Please."
After we finished we headed in the direction of the hospital, Nell was always asleep in my arms, he was not awakened by the commotion.
The road was much less clotted with blood, it seemed to have been cleaned up overnight, the whole wolf pack was much cleaner, but in addition to being clean, there was also a touch more coldness.
Almost no one could be seen on the road in the whole residential area, and every wolf household kept the doors of their rooms tightly closed, as if the news of a plague had spread, and everyone dared not come out from their rooms.
This calm atmosphere continued all the way to the hospital, but the hospital's atmosphere was the complete opposite of the accommodation area.
Before we even entered inside the noisy sounds were already coming, doctors and nurses were busy, they were still continuously healing each warrior, while there was an isolated passage not far from the hospital gate, which seemed to be heading to another area as the doctor said.
I followed behind the doctor holding Nell until I came to a ward, I looked inside the ward and found the old werewolf already lying in another bed.
"Here is an empty ward, you can leave the child to me, I will take good care of him next."
Hearing the doctor's voice, I was ready to put Nell into the bed of the ward, but this action seemed to startle him.
"Otis sister, where are you going......
He weakly stared at me with his eyes, while I covered him with the quilt on the bed.
"Nell, you stay here for the rest of the day, the doctor will treat you and you will surely get better soon."
"Otis sister, I believe in you."
Looking at his eyes full of light froze for a moment, then I showed some smile and stroked his head.
"I'm off then, I have some things to do, I'll see you this afternoon."
Waiting for me to leave the ward, I let that doctor come to the door as well, then my tone was full of seriousness.
"Thank you for your hard work."
The doctor froze at my words, he didn't seem to expect me to speak to him in that tone.
"It's nothing, it should be done."
The doctor's voice had some hoarseness inside, and when I looked at the blackness under his eye sockets, some sighs suddenly appeared in my heart.
When the wolves were in crisis, every clan member was giving everything for the wolves, and although I had no way to solve the plague, I might be able to help the wolves in other ways.
"Is there any solution to the plague now."
"No, but the relief potion to improve immunity has been completed, only the quantity of the potion is relatively small, because there is a herb that is not very well mined."
"What is it, and how do I have to mine it?"
After that doctor heard my words, some surprise appeared in his eyes.
"luna Otis, are you going to ......"
I didn't say anything, but just nodded my head.
The doctor's originally hesitant look seemed to have wavered after seeing my firm gaze, and then he took out a note from inside the pocket of his sleeve.
"I'll write down the characteristics of that herb here, luna Otis, and thank you for your dedication to the wolves."
