DAMIEN'S POV. Jason was back.

My blood boiled just thinking about him sitting next to Leah, talking to her like he belonged here. He had no right to be near her, no right to even look at her. Seeing his smug face made my anger rise like fire, burning hotter with every second.

The moment Leah disappeared into the house, I turned toward the trees where Jason had gone. He wasn't far I could hear the crunch of his footsteps. My wolf stirred inside me, restless, ready for a fight. "Jason!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the garden.

He stepped out from behind the trees, his hands in his pockets, his grin as cocky as ever. "Well, that didn't take long."

"What are you doing here?" I demanded, my voice sharp.

Jason shrugged, like he didn't have a care in the world. "Just wanted to say hi to my dear brother."

"You're not my brother," I growled, stepping closer. "You lost that right the day you walked away."

"Still bitter, I see," Jason said, his green eyes glinting with amusement. "You always took things too seriously."

"Stay away from Leah," I warned, my fists clenched at my sides.

"Why? Afraid she might like me better?" Jason taunted, his smirk widening.

That was it. My control snapped. I lunged at him, my fist connecting with his jaw. He stumbled back but didn't fall. Instead, he straightened, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Is that all you've got?" Jason sneered.

He swung at me, his punch landing square on my cheek. Pain shot through my face, but it only fueled my rage. I tackled him, and we both hit the ground hard. My wolf howled inside me, demanding to be unleashed. Jason rolled us over, pinning me down for a moment before I shoved him off. We both scrambled to our feet, circling each other like predators.

"Let's stop playing," Jason said, his voice low and dangerous.

Before I could respond, he shifted. His body contorted, fur sprouting as his wolf emerged a massive black beast with piercing green eyes.

I didn't hesitate. I let my wolf take over, the transformation swift and painful. My bones snapped, my muscles stretched, and then I was on all fours, my claws digging into the ground.

We charged at each other, teeth bared. Jason's wolf was fast, but so was mine. I dodged his first attack, swiping at his side with my claws. He snarled, the sound echoing in the air, and lunged again.

Our bodies collided, and we tumbled across the ground in a blur of fur and teeth. He bit into my shoulder, his teeth sinking deep, and I howled in pain. But I didn't back down. I twisted, slamming him to the ground and going for his throat. He wriggled free, his claws raking across my chest. Blood seeped into my fur, but I ignored it. The pain didn't matter. Nothing mattered except stopping him.

We fought like animals, each of us giving everything we had. His strength matched mine, his moves unpredictable. But I was faster and more determined.

I pinned him again, my jaws closing around his neck. He growled, struggling beneath me, but I didn't let go.

Just when I thought I had him, he bucked me off, sending me flying into a tree. The impact knocked the wind out of me, but I got back up, snarling.

Jason came at me again, his teeth snapping inches from my face. I dodged, slamming into his side and throwing him to the ground.

We were both bleeding, both exhausted, but neither of us would stop.

Finally, after what felt like hours, we separated, both of us panting heavily. Slowly, we shifted back to human form. I could feel the cuts and bruises on my body, the sharp sting of every injury.

Jason was just as battered, blood dripping from a gash on his forehead. But he still smiled, that same infuriating grin.

"I know you missed me," he said, his voice hoarse but steady. "I missed you too, brother."

I stared at him, my chest heaving. The words hit harder than any punch he'd thrown. I wanted to yell at him, to tell him to leave, but the look in his eyes stopped me.

Jason wasn't here to fight. Not really.

Still, I couldn't let my guard down. Not yet. Not with him.

"Leave," I said, in a low voice glaring at him. "Leave before I murder you with my bloody hands, Jason!" I spat bitterly turning away from him, instead a hysterical laughter coursed through his lips stopping me to a halt, I tilted my head in his direction gritting my teeth, he was testing my nerves, pissing me the fuck off, on fucking purpose

"You don't want to dare me Jason" I warned sternly, our gazes locked, I knew I should have been more sense into him and left his face bloodied.

"Or what? Big brother?" My insides churned hearing him call me that, maybe seven years ago..six perhaps? I would have jumped with joy and engulfed him in a hug, but that was far gone, I loathe him down to the end now. "Don't make me say it twice" I soar bitterly again, his lips twisted, his hands raided to the air pissing me off on purpose.

"Ohhhh I'm scared, he's the big bad wolf," he snorted, his words dripping with mockery. "Last I checked this pack belonged to mother and father, you may be next in line as alpha but I belong here too, ill ray for a while bond with you, and then leave."

I snorted so loud, rolling my eyes. "You wish, the brotherly bond you seem to be dying for, fucking replace it else where bloody bastard." I snapped again hastened my steps in the direction of the door heading out the corridor. "One last thing" I said, turning to face him with a glare. "Stay the duck, away from Leah, I don't want your nonsense rubbing off on her." I declared, my words marking the tone of finality.
