Ava was not herself learning the news that her friend was dead. She felt like her world is falling apart under her feet. It was getting worse even at his funeral. The cops never revealed the fact of how he died he was being investigated at the given time. Everyone knew he was shot and killed to be placed in a shallow grave. Does she think who the hell could have done this to my friend?

“Serena!” Shouting when she notices them going down the hallway to class.

Out of breath when stopping in front of her locker with her hand resting on the door. Serena looked at her.

“Are you alright?” Serena asked.

“Why…. wh…why do you ask?” Ava stammered.

“You look pale like you haven’t been sleeping. It’s probably the bags under your eyes.” Serena said grabbing her books. She grabbed her mirror to show what she meant.

Taking the mirror, Ava saw how tired she look. Also did look sick too. Maybe it was the nightmares and the night sweats that were happening lately. Not mentioning anything and just handed her the mirror back.

“I haven’t been sleeping well lately since they found Henry.” Admitting to Serena.

Making my way through the day she started to feel worse. So, by Organic Chemistry, Ava started to feel a bit nauseous and had a headache. Sitting down was not a good idea. The smell of the chemicals was so bad that felt vomit start to crawl up my throat. started to heave. She ran from her seat with her bag. Luckily, made it to the bathroom to puke her brains out afterward, she felt so hungry, which shouldn’t have been either. The nurse dismissed her.

When Ava got home, she felt so sick. Her mother saw her and came running. She was freaking out. “Ava, what’s wrong honey?” Worried.

“I was sent home from school. I threw up in Organic Chemistry. I am feeling like myself everything hurts. I feel….” Ava says before passing out in the hallway.

Maria was suddenly frantic and rushed towards her phone. “Kaleb something is wrong with Ava. Please call me back.”

After leaving a message for Kaleb, Maria calls an emergency service to help. Luckily, they came fast enough because Ava was burning up. That was only a side effect of what was going to happen to her. Time flew by in a blur, Kaleb and Maria were waiting for Ava to wake up.

“We need to tell her the truth,” Maria told Kaleb.

“Now, will not be the best. It would just make things worse.” Kaleb reassured his wife. He places his hand over hers.

“We have to tell her soon before she realizes something is going on with her that she cannot understand.” Maria insisting.

“Should we tell Thomas about Ava being in the hospital?” Maria asked.

“No, Thomas has too much classwork. This would only distract him. He already dealing with his hectic classes, to begin with.” Kaleb replies.

Maria was worried and the doctors just said she would be fine. Both Kaleb and Maria sat there in Ava’s hospital room. They wait for Ava to wake up or for the sedatives to wear off.

“We will need to tell her the truth, Kaleb. I am being serious about that. You did not see her when she came home from school. She looked like death. She has been sleeping since that boy was found. This is tearing me apart seeing our daughter like that,” Gesturing towards Ava.

Maria walked out of the hospital room. Kaleb followed her out of the room. He tried to stop his wife and said, "Telling Ava everything would ruin her. She will not fully trust us again."

Then again, Maria did not stop after hearing that statement even though she knew it to be accurate.
