Loki's POV

Everyone fell silent absorbing Elijah's words. I glanced at his face, I could see the raw emotion on it. He wasn't teasing, he meant every word he had said.

I had never seen him this frightened over a dream over, we were used to his occasional dreams which we often joked about as future proclamations as they often came to pass but he had never been so absorbed in any of them the way he was now. If he thought I was going to take his dream literally, he was wrong. I had no plans of dying away from home much less in a matchup against Ethan. He was a warrior and his tales were ones only held in the same breath as the great wolves who have walked the earth but still, he was no match for me.

"You have nothing to worry about, Elijah. I assure you."

I slipped out a cigar from my pocket and brought it to my lips. "I'm not trying to discard what you saw but I'm certain it wasn't my death you witnessed. You've been paranoid ever since we left home and I feel like you probably saw things differently this time." "Loki, I know what it looks like but you know I'm rarely wrong about things like this."

"What is it you want from me, Elijah?" I slammed my fist on the table in front of me. "You want me to pack up my bags and head home because of some dream, is that what you want?"

"You need to f*****g lower your voice, Loki." Jonathan glared at me. "I would hate for you to draw any unwanted attention towards us right now."

I sighed, massaging my temple. "I didn't mean to yell, Elijah." I apologized. "This was the last thing I was expecting to hear, man. I can't afford to keep any form of negative energy around me right now."

"I didn't intend to ruin your peace, I only thought it wise to tell you both about my dream," Elijah answered.

I lit my cigar and took a long drag, as I settled into the chair.

"We've come this far and we're so close to Arielle, I can almost smell her where she is in this city. They know we've arrived, I could sense the eyes watching us from the darkness of the airport down here." I began. "I understand that you only mean that we should be cautious in our dealings with Arielle and Ethan but they're also wary of whatever threat we might possess."

"You're making this up again, aren't you?" Jonathan scoffed as he pinned me with a glare. "You called Elijah paranoid a few minutes ago but you're just the same. Do you think everyone was staring at us? That's a hell of a conclusion you've arrived at." "They know we're here, believe me. Like I told you earlier, they control this state and they know our exact location right now." I took another drag of my cigar.

"Why haven't we been ambushed?"

I turned my attention to Elijah who was now leaning against the railings.

I turned my attention to Elijah who was now leaning against the railings.

"They're cautious of us. They want to watch and understand how we operate before they make a move but I suggest it's best we get things over with."

"It'll be unwise to be scared in your territory. What do you have to lose? If I were in his shoes, I would take us out before daybreak. It would send a message across all territories, no one would dare come into my territory to make demands." I chuckled lightly before breaking into a small laughter as Jonathan joined in. Elijah had always been a hothead, his first instinct has always been to shed blood and make do with whatever repercussions arise from the ashes.

"Ethan isn't a fool and like I've come to learn, his reputation precedes him." I cautioned Elijah, we couldn't afford to make hasty decisions. We were the ones potentially at risk of losing everything if we didn't play the few cards we had right. "He's a cunning wolf and a tactical genius at that. If we want to beat at his game, we would have to play the cards he would expect us to play."

"It makes no sense playing into his hands," Jonathan argued. "If we play Ethan's game without making the necessary adjustments to me, we would end up with nothing. No Arielle, our son would be gone too and to top it off, we would lose our throne as well." "No, no. You're not seeing the bigger picture here, brothers. We give him what he wants and we take what we want. If we execute this to perfection, we will have little issues in getting Arielle back." I explained, feeling excited all of a sudden. "Now that we've arrived, he's going to expect our request for him to grant an audience to us to hear what we have to say, he'll expect us to speak to Arielle first, to plead with her before he turns us away like we know he would. He's not going to let her go by any means." "So what do you propose? We have to speak to Arielle, we can't escape that and neither can we do that without having him present in the room." Jonathan asked, feeling slightly perplexed.

"We've known Arielle for longer than he has," I smiled. "She might have changed her appearance but I bet she's still the same underneath, we only need to reach out to her to get her to have a private conversation with just the three of us. I don't care what we say or do, we just have to make it work. Heck, we'll use our son as leverage over her if it comes to that but under no circumstance can we speak to her for the first time with Ethan present." "Talking wouldn't just cut it, Loki. We need something more efficient than that and your proposed leverage can only go as far but it wouldn't be enough to make it worthwhile." "You're right, Jonathan. But our priority should be getting a bit of advantage on our side before anything." I stated, hoping that they would see things from my point of view.

As much as I tried to blow it off as inconsequential, Elijah was right, with his dreams at least. Going to war should be our last resort, if we attempt to charge into battle now like Elijah suggested, we would end up on the losing end even if we won the battle. "Ethan knows we majorly would focus on speaking to Arielle while he passes judgment when it's all over, they plan to operate as a team but that's where we would come in," I tried to explain to both of them again, hoping to get them sold on this idea of mine. We had to be united as one with a clear plan and vision before we face Ethan and Arielle. "I propose that we speak to each of them individually, it'll be easier that way."

"We would need a couple of days to think things through and decide if we're going to come up with a new plan or stick to this crazy idea of Loki's." Elijah yawned.

I crushed the butt of my cigar on the ashtray in front of me. It had been a long flight and it's only natural to feel tired after the strenuous day we had. We would reconvene at dawn to discuss our final actions before we made any move.

I was undecided on whether to tell them about the move I made behind their back, the chances of them being pissed were pretty high but I knew they didn't have what it took to make tough decisions when it came to that. As the eldest among the three of us, it fell on me to make these kinds of decisions if it would benefit us all in the long run.

"We don't have the luxury of thinking about my plan for the next few days," I held both their gazes as they stared at me with confusion laced in their eyes. "Before we left home, I scheduled a meeting with Ethan for this morning. So this plan has to work, it's our only option and if we can all agree on it, it's going to sail smoothly."

"You never needed us here with you, right?" Jonathan interjected, "If your grand idea was to take this whole mission up by yourself, why the hell did you make us come with you?"

"You can hate me right now but you both will not deny the fact that I have our best interests at heart," I pinned them down with my stare. "You said it yourself Elijah, if you were in their shoes, you'd have taken us out by now. What do we stand to gain from wasting any more valuable time?"

I pushed myself out of my chair. "The decision has been made and it's final, we're going to meet Ethan and Arielle for the first time tomorrow. If you have any objections, you can take the next available flight and head back home."
