Awakening (Born From Shadows #1) -
Chapter Twenty-Five
Her stomach felt like it was going to explode as he moved his lips down onto towards her shoulder . His tongue flicked out against her neck as he sucked it. A soft moan escaped from Tatianna’s mouth; she couldn’t keep it in no matter how hard she tried.
His hands moved from her waist up onto her stomach, running a finger under her breasts causing a shiver to run down her spine. Then one of his hands went wandering a bit lower, passing her waist and circling around her underwear. All she wanted to do was grab that hand and press it against her throbbing core. His fingers suddenly glided over her, adding pressure as they went. Her thighs closed against his hand which only caused him to press further into her.
It was pure bliss to her, she felt like she wanted more yet wanted him to stop at the same time. Another moan left her mouth, this time it was much louder than before.
“Fuck,” Nik mumbled into her neck sending another tide of pleasure through her. He went to move towards her but suddenly stopped and groaned out of pain. He took his hand away from her and Tatianna let out a whimper, missing the contact. She then realised why he stopped. Looking down at his hand that was pressing against the injury on his leg.
“I’m sorry,” he said, referring to his inability to continue.
“Don’t be,” she replied. “It was better than anything I could imagine,” she truthfully told him.
“I can imagine a lot more,” he replied with frustration. A blush crept up onto her face as realised what he meant. “Are you a virgin?” he openly asked.
As intrusive and personal the question was for once she felt obliged to answer. “Yes,” she replied. “There have been a few men who have forcefully kissed me but they ended up with a dagger in their dick.”
He laughed at her statement. “That’s my Storm.”
They looked over to the amber-eyed wolf who had just walked back into their camp. Nylif was carrying two rabbits in her mouth by their tails. “At least now we don’t have to hunt,” Tatianna gleefully realised. She hated killing the poor creatures.

Tatianna looked towards Nik’s healing leg. It wasn’t good enough to walk long distances on, but it was good enough to ride a horse with. Tatianna placed the saddle back onto Ida after being off for many days. It had been a week since the injury.
Nik limped over to the horse then looked towards her. “I’m going to need some help getting up,” he told her.
“You like being the damsel in distress, don’t you?” she asked whilst yet again helping him out, not that she minded it.
“If you’re the one helping me,” he replied. She gave him something to lean against whilst he put his good leg on the stirrup, thrusting his body onto the saddle with a push from her. Tatianna then clambered onto the horse in front of him.
“Now that I know I can touch you, this ride is going to be even harder. Pun intended,” he said whilst she wriggled into a more comfortable position.
“Well then control yourself,” she replied. Knowing that if he couldn’t control himself then neither could she.
“It doesn’t help that you are wearing the same gorgeous dress that I first saw you in,” he commented on her attire.
“I’m surprised it hasn’t been torn to shreds by now,” she looked down at her clothes. Her cloak covered most of it from view.
“If it was torn to shreds then I definitely would not be able to control myself, injury or no injury,” he admitted, and Tatianna felt the sudden urge to test if he was telling the truth. She decided not to act on impulse.
“Let’s just go,” she replied trying to change the topic of the conversation, or else they would never leave this place. Ida started to walk, they decided to keep the pace slow whilst Nik was still recovering.
Tatianna looked back towards the small campsite. It wasn’t much but it had a lot of memories attached to it, especially the moments where she first kissed Nik. She knew that was going to be embedded into her brain. Her first kiss that actually meant something to her, that made her feel.
Nylif walked next to the horse, the two were becoming increasingly close to each other. Ida had gotten used to the large wolf’s presence. Looking down upon Nylif, comparing her to Ida’s size really highlighted how much larger she was than the average wolf, for reasons unknown to her.
They excited the forest that kept them hidden and was back on the path. The men’s rotting corpses from before were still on the ground, although some were missing a shoe or two, and some other clothes that the two had borrowed for themselves. ‘You do what you must to survive,’ she had told Nik. Although he wasn’t too happy to scavenge a dead body.
“It feels good to be moving forward again,” she told Nik and leant into his body.
“Yeah, it does.”
