"Haha..."

Lauren's eyes were filled with sarcasm as she sneered.

"Liar! You're all liars! You are all f*cking liars! You take me as a fool, didn't you? Or, are you trying to be like Zedd too? Are you going to treat me as a fool and just lie to me as you wish?" "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me; fool me three time, I deserve it!"

"Since you never planned to take responsibility from the start, then you can save your breathe and not say anymore nonsense!"

Lauren's eyes were filled with tears of anger. She took a deep breath, turned her head to the side, and subconsciously touched her belly. It was as if she was comforting the baby in her belly.

"I'm not mad at Mrs. Bowles. If it was my son, I would have reacted the same way! Willy, you were the one who approached me, and you were the one who didn't deal with the matter well. Or perhaps, you didn't plan to handle it in the first place! You're the one who placed me in such an embarrassing and helpless situation! I hate you!" "You're the brazen bast*rd who got me pregnant out of wedlock, and you're the jerk who got me scolded by others! You left me to be criticized, humiliated, and I couldn't fight back at all!"

"You hurt me, and you dragged down my child down with you! Someone as cold-blooded as you, will never understand the feelings of others! You pursue me when I was of value and then you left me to rot! You don't care whether I'm doing good or bad, do you? I don't want to hear any of your sweet talks anymore, get the hell out of my way!"

Lauren walked around him and went straight into the house in big strides.

It was supposed to be the happiest day, and she even wanted to surprise him. Yet, at that moment, Lauren was filled with anger. She went back inside, grabbed her bag, and walked back out.

Throughout the whole argument, Willy stood frozen at the doorway as if he was beaten up. He stared blankly into space for a long time and his head continued to buzz.

She brushed past him as she walked through the door. Suddenly, as if she remembered something, Lauren turned back and took out a roll of papers from the bag and threw it at Willy. "Here!"

Then, Lauren turned around and continued to walk out the door. Willy caught sight of the roll of paper that was thrown at him and he saw that it contained some chemical molecular structure diagrams. He immediately understood what was going on and chased after her as he turned around. He grabbed Lauren's arm.

"Laurie..."

"Go away! Don't touch me!"

Lauren tried to shake away his grasp and gritted her teeth harshly, like an angry kitten starting at him. For a pregnant woman, her movement was obviously getting slower, but she was still rather flexible.

Willy was worried that she would hurt herself, so he dared not cross the line. Once she started struggling, he quickly let go of her, afraid that it would lead to an accident. "Laurie! Where do you plan to go so late at night? Can we go in and have a talk please?"

He had just sent Vanessa away, and there was Lauren throwing a tantrum. Willy was exhausted. Why were all women so troublesome? He didn't dare provoke them. "I'm going home! If I don't, I'll make a fool of myself here. Go away!"

Lauren was furious and slammed him with her bag. Seeing that she was really angry while she moved around and wouldn't listen to him, he had no choice but to say... "Okay, okay... Calm down, and don't be angry! I'll send you home!"

Turning her head quickly, Lauren became even angrier, but that time, before she could say anything, Willy spoke first, "It's late and it's not easy to get a cab around here!" Moreover, she was pregnant. It was too dangerous!

He didn't dare say he was worried about her, afraid that she would scold him again. Lauren seemed to accept the reason, and did not continue to fight him.

Willy then got the car ready and sent her to the Maltrich International Condominium. Along the way, no matter what he said, Lauren ignored him. He was feeling down and embarrassed. After getting out of the car, Willy blocked her way and said, "You haven't eaten yet, right?"

Willy should have stayed silent. The moment he spoke, Lauren's anger intensified. Suddenly, she looked as

if she wanted to kill him. Although she was frustrated, Willy could still see tears brimming in her eyes. He took a step forward and embraced her.

"I'm sorry that I hurt you. I will think seriously think about our matter... I will give you an answer!"

Indeed, he should provide a solution to the matter at hand!

Yet, at that moment, he still could not bring himself to say the word 'marriage' that was already at the tip of his tongue. Willy couldn't tell if it was because of his hesitation, uncertainty or fear of being misunderstood by her at that point! "Give me sometime..."

Lauren wanted to say something, but Willy's cell phone suddenly rang. She turned to leave but her wrist was grasped tightly. She heard Willy said,

"Well, yes, it's the South Gate, come here. I'm at the door!"

Shortly after he hung up the phone, a delivery man came to them, "Is it Mr. Bowles? Here, here's your food order!"

"Thank you!"

Reaching for the food box, Willy looked at it and then said, "Come on, I'll take you up!"

Only then did she realize that he had ordered her takeout, but because the deliveryman hadn't left yet, Lauren just stared at him silently and didn't move.

Seeing that she was standing her ground, obviously still angry at him, Willy could only sigh, grab her hand, and hand her the takeout.

"Okay, I won't go up! Remember to eat and call me if you need me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lauren turned around and walked in.

Looking at Lauren leaving, Willy felt helpless.

After following her from a distance for a while, Willy watched her enter the building, then looked up.

Lauren caught sight of him at the corner so she couldn't throw away the takeout.

When she reached upstairs and was thinking of throwing it away again, she couldn't replace a suitable trash can, plus she felt she needed to have dinner. Also, it wasn't her habit to waste food, so she took it home.

Lauren knew for sure that he would

be watching her from downstairs. Therefore, once Lauren entered her unit, she went straight to the

balcony, pretended to stand there for a while, and pulled the curtains shut after turning on the lights. Sure enough, the moment the curtains were pulled shut, Willy turned and left.

Lauren placed the takeout on the dining table and opened it. There were few delicate dishes, steamed buns, a porridge. There was even a box of fruits. They were all light food, including a mixture of meat and vegetables, and eggs. She guessed it was specially prepared for her.

"Heavens Fragrance Restaurant?"

Weren't they the hotel that emphasize on their food without MSG? Their food was incredibly expensive! It was located just a few blocks away from her place. No wonder the food was still warm!

Sitting down, Lauren took a bite of the greens and eggs. She mumbled, "Mm... That's quite yummy!"

She got up and went to wash her hands, then she came back and opened the box containing the porridge. She picked up a bun and took a few bites. Her throat was dry and sore, but she forced herself to eat anyway. "I must eat some food, the baby needs food..." she told herself.

Thinking about the food that she had so carefully prepared previously, she didn't expect it to end up like how it did. Her heart sank and she pursed her lips. Lauren put down her cutleries, and tears streamed down her face... On the other hand, after Willy returned home, he sat and stared blankly at a bowl of noodles mixed in sauce. He stirred the noodles for a while, but had no appetite to eat it...
