"I am tired," Lilac complained, but she smiled when she felt how he nibbled on her earlobe and this made Hunter became even more relentless with his k*ss.

"I bet you are." Hunter put away the document he was reading and focused on his mate, because in his opinion, Lilac required a lot of care from him. "Whose fault is this?" Lilac narrowed her eyes at the man and Hunter could only grin.

"But, I thought you like it. Didn't you like it when I touched you like this?" Hunter put his hands over her breast and Lilac gasped by how lewd Hunter could be. Now she learned this side of him and even though she did not really reject his advance, but she was sure, she would pass out, if he continued this.

"I am really sore," Lilac grumbled, she let him k*ssing her n*eck, but she made her voice sounded very pitiful. "And I am also hungry..."

With that, Hunter couldn't proceed further with his intention. Albeit he couldn't go further, but it didn't mean he couldn't tease her. For some reason, he was very happy to be close to Lilac. Probably this was the happiest time in his life.

"Don't you want to eat something else?" Hunter whispered this ambiguous word to her ear, which made Lilac's face turned very red.

"Stop saying something like that!" Lilac giggled, as she hit him playfully and then chuckled when he tickled her. "Okay, enough. Enough. I can't breath..."

Hunter stopped and then k*ssed her I*ps, he seemed he couldn't get enough of her. "I will ask someone to bring something for us," he said. "Is there something you want to eat?"

Lilac gave some thought about it and then smiled. "I want eat meat," she said.

"Great choice." Hunter k*ssed the tip of her nose before he got off her b*dy reluctantly and then walked toward the door to order something for both of them.

Later that afternoon, the healer returned and then reported everything to Hunter, which was something he didn't really want to know, but it was enough to keep him on tab of what was going on the Golden Claw pack.

After that, the day went uneventful. But, the same thing couldn't be said in the Golden Claw pack...

This pack was actually very lively, as they welcomed a new member of the pack, this new member was none other than Aiden's firstborn son. The heir to the title. The baby, who would rule their pack one day and got the title as the alpha of the pack.

Chapter 118

Everyone was talking about this baby, they were gushing over him, but unfortunately, only a handful people noticed Ruby.

Currently, after such difficult labor, Ruby was spent, she was bedridden and couldn't move too much because she lost so much blood, but aside from making sure she was still alive, no one really cared to check on her.

"What if we named him Azel?" luna Jasmine asked Aiden, as she carried the sleeping baby in her arms, she gushed over her grandson and didn't want to put him down, unless it was time for him to eat. "That's a good name," Aiden said, he stared at his baby. He didn't have any particular emotion for the baby. He looked happy to have his firstborn, but that was it.

"I want to name him Arlan..." Ruby said from her bed, she looked pale, but she was glad, she could deliver the baby safely.

Luna Jasmine only glanced at her without saying anything, before she continued to gush over the baby. "Azel. Your name is Azel." She ignored Ruby's opinion. In her eyes, her duty was done after she delivered the baby. It was good if she could give her son one or three more babies, since she liked to have a lot of children, but unfortunately, the former luna could only give birth to Aiden, without giving him any siblings.

Ruby felt so hurt when she heard that, but what else she could do when she didn't have any power, neither she could go against luna Jasmine's wishes, as she was the one, who had the power over everything.

More so, the man, who supposed to support her and be there for her was actually didn't do anything when he watched how his mother had disregarded his mate. He didn't seem very enthusiast with his son and Ruby could see it in Aiden's eyes.

It almost felt like he just finished one duty and the sense he felt was only a relief. Having a child was a duty for him and he had accomplished it, though it was Ruby, who almost lost her life when she gave birth to their son, but there was not a single word of appreciation from him.

"Look! He looks like you! He will grow up into a great alpha one day, just like you! Mother will make sure Azel will get everything that he needs!" Luna Jasmine was very excited, she then took the baby out of the room, without even asking permission from Ruby or Aiden. She did whatever she wanted with the baby and no one would be able to stop her.

This time, Ruby suddenly realized, she felt like the cloud that blurry her vision was suddenly lifted and she could see everything clearer.

Power.

Chapter 118

She needed power to be able to stay in this situation. She needed power to have a say in a matter of this pack. She needed power to be able to have her son.

At this point, it wouldn't be a surprise for her if she would have a hard time to meet with her son if he was no longer attached to her.

"Are you going to let your mother brings our baby like that?" Ruby asked, she felt exhausted, but she needed to address this issue. "Our baby is only two days old and he needs to be close to me."

Aiden stared at her, as if he just realized Ruby was there. This man was really something else entirely.

"What do you want?" he asked in annoyed tone. "You don't think that my mother couldn't take care a baby, right? She had done it before with me. The baby is in the good hand." "She is not supposed to bring our baby without permission."

"Why she should need your permission?" Aiden narrowed his eyes at Ruby before he went out of the bedroom when he was sure she wouldn't talk about anything else.

He had this mixed feeling whenever he saw Ruby, but he couldn't make a decision about how he was going to treat her in the future.

However, like usual, Aiden always chose the easiest way for him. The one that he felt more comfortable to take, which was to ignore Ruby.

By ignoring the person, it felt like you could ignore the entire problem.

And after saying that, Aiden walked out of the bedroom, leaving her all alone in her pain. Occasionally, there would be someone, who checked on her and gave her food and medicine that she needed, but she was all alone.

Meanwhile, out there, they prepared a presumptuous meal and festivity to welcome the heir for the pack. They made it so big and marvelous and invited all the people to come to their pack.

Including the lycan pack. The festivity would be held a week from now and Ruby needed to be there too, therefore she needed to recover quickly.

Ruby said nothing when Aiden informed her about this and then went away again.

Meanwhile, seeing the way Aiden treated Ruby, Gabriel, Aiden's beta approached him and voiced out his concern.

"Don't you think you are too harsh on her? You don't spend time enough with her, even though she just gave birth to your son." Gabriel stared at the closed door, the room for

the alpha and the luna.

"She is fine."

Gabriel sighed. "If you don't like her, why would you keep her by your side and then agreed to make her your luna? You don't need to mark her and make her the luna if you don't like it." "Do I have a choice?" Luna Jasmine was the one, who had arranged everything.

"I don't think you like her. You don't look happy when you are with her," Gabriel pointed out the obvious.
