Chapter 114 Bella’s Dilemma

Charles was momentarily stunned, a trace of obvious surprise flashing in his eyes.

The conference room’s lights were soft and clear, casting a determined glow on Yvonne’s resolute face.

“Why are you here? Isn’t there something going on at home?” Charles’s voice carried a hint of concern, though there was also a

subtle undertone of doubt.

“It’s been taken care of,” Yvonne replied crisply, motioning for Charles to sit down with an authoritative gesture.

She then turned to a middle–aged board member, her brows slightly arched in a challenge, “Do you have a better candidate to replace me?”

The middle–aged board member glanced around awkwardly before. hesitating to answer, “We can replace a professional manager to handle

Caesar.”

His voice was calm, but his tone revealed an undeniable confidence.

Yvonne raised her eyebrows slightly, her eyes flashing with a cold, penetrating look.

“A professional manager, will they be more dedicated than me? This is my father’s hard–earned company

“Yvonne, although you are indeed skilled in international trade, your lack experience in managing chain real estate and luxury department stores,” another board member stood up, his voice clearly challenging.

“Look at the current spokesperson issue, it’s a mess. Your decision- making mistakes cost us money.”

Yvonne’s expression gradually hardened. She knew that Caesar’s

performance had indeed been unsatisfactory in recent years.

Since last year, when Caesar became independent from the Taylor Enterprises, losing the support of original funds and resources, the shareholders‘ complaints had not ceased.

Today, she was unwilling to continue arguing endlessly with these. people.

“Replacing me is fine,” her voice was low and powerfu largest shareholder. You can buy all my shares first.”

“You’re such a young girl, so overbearing?” A board member was clearly angered by Yvonne’s attitude, his face turning red.

Yvonne remained unmoved, calmly looking around with sharp eyes, “If there are no better suggestions, let’s adjourn the meeting. Or choose to trust me.” Her voice was firm, instilling a strong sense of trust.

The atmosphere became tense in an instant.

The shareholders exchanged glances, their expressions varied, and finally, they all looked at Charles, as if seeking his support.

As a senior investor, Charles’s influence was significant.

Charles was silent for a moment before finally speaking slowly, “I trust Miss Yvonne.” His tone was firm, carrying an undeniable authority, “Her decisions may need time to prove, but she has consistently completed her work methodically. What we need might just be a little more patience.”

Charles’s words brought a new turning point to the meeting, giving Yvonne a chance to regain trust.

With business matters resolved, Charles expressed concern for her relationship with Benson.

“Yvonne, whatever decision you and Benson make, your mother and I will support you,” Charles’s tone was filled with helplessness and

concern.

He knew his son Benson’s inner struggles and barriers. He had been. too strict with him as a child, making it difficult for Benson to express his true feelings to his parents.

Yvonne nodded gratefully, “Thanks, Dad.”

After seeing Charles off, Megan stood expressionlessly in the luxurious hall, seemingly maintaining a professional distance on

purpose.

She suddenly approached Yvonne, her expression tense, and whispered, “Bella is looking for you.

“Now?” Yvonne’s eyebrows furrowed, her voice carrying a trace of undisguised surprise. They had just spoken on the phone in the morning, and everything seemed fine.

“Yes, in your office,” Megan answered concisely and clearly.

Sensing a possible urgent situation, Yvonne quickly walked toward her office, constantly speculating on the possible reasons.

Bella’s photography project had been progressing very smoothly, with excellent results ready for display at any time.

However, Bella had always been reserved about the overall

promotional strategy, believing that the plan was not sufficient for a launch.

When Yvonne pushed open her office door, Bella was pacing inside, looking unusually anxious.

Seeing Yvonne enter, Bella almost rushed over, her eyes full of panic and fear, “Yvonne, I might have messed up, I might… lose the endorsement?”

“Why do you say that?” Yvonne’s voice was calm, but her eyes

revealed a hint of worry. She rarely saw Bella so distressed, which

made her even more anxious.

Bella bit her lip, her expression complex, her eyes flickering

uncertainly. “Andrew…” she began to explain, but her words became hesitant.

“Didn’t you two stop contacting each other?” Yvonne was even more confused.

“Well, not completely… I don’t want to be in contact with him, just…” Bella seemed very embarrassed, hesitated, an en took out her phone from her handbag, opened an app, and played a voice message for Yvonne.

Yvonne listened attentively. It was a difficult–to–discern conversation, starting with a woman’s soothing moan, “Take it easy.”

Then came a male voice, with a hint of smugness and teasing, “Easy, Bella doesn’t like it…” It was clearly Andrew’s voice.

Yvonne’s face showed some embarrassment, while Bella was already pale, her voice trembling, “I’m done…”

“When did this happen?” Yvonne asked, her brow furrowed, unease. rising from her heart.

Bella bit her lip and explained everything in detail.

Yvonne sat at the dark wooden desk, her brow furrowed, obviously troubled by the situation.

The office’s dim corners seemed to be filled with an inexplicable sense of oppression.

Bella stood opposite Yvonne, her fingers twisting the hem of her clothes unconsciously.

Her voice trembled as she meticulously recounted the audio content and the events.

She mentioned that Andrew had secretly sent her the information, her tone mixed with fear and disappointment.

After listening, Yvonne seemed to visualize Andrew’s cold face and triumphant smile.

She couldn’t help but rub her temples, feeling a headache coming on.

It turned out that Andrew had not only se the audio but had also been secretly manipulating things, with plans already in place.

“You…” Yvonne’s voice was low and drawn out as she looked at Bella, her eyes showing a mix of gentleness and undeniable reproach.

“I know you meant well, but this method…”

“I just wanted to help you because I saw how hard you were working alone,” Bella’s tears flowed again, biting her lip, her voice growing weaker with sobs.

“I just thought, just this once, to change a project, I didn’t expect Andrew to be so… despicable.”

Yvonne took a deep breath, thinking it over, then patted the table, as if she had made a decision.

“It’s okay, I’ll handle this.” Her words were firm, seemingly already containing a plan.

Bella’s expression shifted from confusion to anxiety, “How to solve it? Andrew is so despicable, what can we do?”

Yvonne stared at Bella for a long time, then suddenly smiled, “Bella, you go and play the lead role in ‘Urban Escape,‘ I’ll get that role for you.
