Chapter 124 Media Focus
Benson elegantly stepped out of the black car, his navy blue suit perfectly tailored.
Paired with a flowing black shirt, he didn’t need a tie to exude an extraordinary presence.
In the peak summer heat of Las Vegas, while others wore lighter,
more breathable clothing, Benson’s attire seemed somewhat out of place.
Yet, his confidence and charisma were only highlighted by his seemingly unseasonal outfit.
He moved through the crowd with steady steps, as if an invisible aura surrounded him, making people instinctively give way.
Every movement and subtle expression displayed his confidence and
ease.
The event was the final selection of the “Eurasia Jewelry”
spokesperson, attracting elite participants and extensive medial
attention.
A few days prior, Mary’s scandal had stirred up the media, making Benson’s appearance a prime news opportunity.
Reporters swarmed like wolves sensing prey.
“Mr. Benson, are you here for business or personal reasons?” one bold reporter pushed a microphone close to Benson, eager for an
answer.
Benson tilted his head slightly to avoid the microphone, his calm gaze hinting at complex emotions.
“Personal,” he replied simply, his voice steady but resolute.

His eyes swept past the reporters, landing on Yvonne standing at the other end of the venue.
Their gazes met, silently conveying unspoken words.
Noticing Benson’s focus, the reporters pres
Jon, “Is it because of
Miss Mary?”
The reporter’s question carried a probing and suggestive tone, looking for deeper emotional clues in Benson’s response.
Benson stared at the reporter for a moment, his eyes reflecting a ripple of complex emotions before quickly regaining composure.
He smiled slightly, avoiding a direct answer, “We’re here to support the ‘Eurasia Jewelry‘ event. Other matters are not for discussion here.”
His words, though soft, were clear and firm, discouraging further probing. Despite his skillful deflection, his eyes seemed to tell a deeper story.
Momentarily deterred by his authority, the reporters‘ curiosity about the business tycoon embroiled in a romantic scandal remained unabated.
Mary, sitting in a wheelchair, appeared pale and pitiful, her adoring gaze fixed on Benson as if he were her only hope.
Though Benson clarified their relationship as strictly professional, his presence spoke otherwise.
Bella, frowning, muttered angrily, “What does he mean? Yvonne, this man is simply unreasonable.”
Yvonne took a deep breath, calmly addressing Bella, “His intentions are not for you to worry about. Focus on your own tasks.”
She had anticipated this outcome. As long as Benson was present, she had no leverage over Mary.
Every plan she devised was effortlessly thwarted by Benson.
Contemplating her next move, she felt a deep sense of powerlessness.
Mary, with a shy demeanor, looked hopeful and cherished, seemingly assured of her victory.
People began to whisper that Benson probably didn’t love his wife, and Mary was his true love. Otherwise, why would he be here to support Mary?
Yvonne remained composed, understanding that Benson’s
contradictory actions–denying any special relationship with Mary while openly showing affection -only added to her frustration and helplessness. Her husband was someone she couldn’t trust.
Recalling Marcus’s gentle attention to details that had touched her heart, Yvonne felt a longing for that warmth, unlike the cold ambiguity
she faced with Benson.
Feeling tired and powerless, she coldly laughed to herself, enough was enough.
She pushed through the crowd and walked to Benson’s side, elegantly linking arms with him, as if they were a loving couple.
Mary glared at Yvonne, trembling, “You…”
Yvonne tilted her head, her eyes filled with defiance and disdain as she looked at Benson, silently declaring her control.
“Miss Yvonne, are you and Mr. Benson…” The reporters quickly noticed and pressed on with questions.
Yvonne smiled sarcastically, “He’s my…brother.” Her words left everyone stunned.
Benson’s expression darkened slightly, making it hard for anyone to

believe Yvonne’s claim.
“Brother, Bella is waiting for me,” Yvonne added, her tone laced with provocation and indifference.
Mary nearly cried, feeling utterly defeated by Yvonne’s actions, her last chance to salvage her reputation slipping away. Yvonne dragged Benson to Bella’s side, leading the media and reporters into the venue.
Once away from the crowd, Yvonne let go and started to walk away. Benson grabbed her wrist, speaking softly, “I need to talk to you.”
Yvonne coldly replied, “I have my own matters,” her voice firm and unyielding.
Benson’s eyes showed a flicker of pain. He took a deep breath, grabbed her by the neck, and pulled her into an embrace. Yvonne struggled, glaring at him, “Are you crazy?”
Benson whispered, “Every time I try to talk to you, you don’t listen.”
Yvonne instinctively looked outside, seeing the media and reporters.
She had just called him her brother, but now this ambiguous situation would fuel the media.
Bella, frightened, shouted at Benson, “Are you even a man, Benson? Do you have any other skills besides threatening women?”
Benson chuckled coldly, holding Yvonne tighter, and whispered,” Yvonne, tell me, am I a man?”
