- Chapter 188 A Couple’s Confrontation
Yvonne struggled to suppress her emotions, but Benson’s behavior was simply unbearable.
Her chest heaved with anger, her face flushed with agitation, and her eyes
seemed to blaze with fire.
She clenched her fists tightly, her knuckles turning white from the
pressure.
“You… how can you be so shameless! Yvonne’s voice trembled, her eyes wide with both fury and grievance.
Her voice echoed in the spacious room, shattering the previously
harmonious atmosphere.
Benson’s forehead twitched slightly with tension, and the things he had bottled up inside made him feel extremely irritable.
He didn’t want a divorce; his feelings for Yvonne were deep. To him, this emotion was a given. Did that make him shameless?
His complex gaze fell on Yvonne, his mind churning with various emotions
He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, but the anger in his eyes was still hard to conceal.
“Yvonne, let me explain…” Benson’s voice was low and urgent, tinged with a hint of helplessness and pain.
He reached out, attempting to touch Yvonne, but she quickly avoided him.
“Explain? What do you have to explain!” Yvonne interrupted him, her voice. full of sarcasm and despair.
A flicker of determination crossed her eyes, as if she had lost all trust in Benson.
“You treat me like this, and you still want me to listen to your explanation?”
Yvonne’s voice quivered with emotion, her body shaking slightly, clearly
struggling to control her feelings.
Benson was deeply hurt by Yvonne’s words; he knew her anger and disappointment were because of him.
He felt a wave of helplessness, filled with self–blame and pain.
He knew that no matter how he explained, he couldn’t change Yvonne’s mood at that moment.
He didn’t want it to be like this, but some things were beyond his control. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his voice.
“I don’t want a divorce, and I can’t bear to lose you. Is that being
shameless?” His voice was low and firm, his eyes filled with a resolute, undeniable light.
“Yes, it is shameless!” Yvonne gritted her teeth, her voice filled with obvious anger and despair.
“You don’t care about my feelings at all; you only care about yourself!”
Benson took a deep breath, trying to suppress his inner anger and frustration.
He knew now was not the time to argue; he needed to be calm and make her understand his feelings.
He turned and walked toward her.
Today, he was wearing a black turtleneck and black suit pants, making him look particularly steady and mature.
He stood in front of her with a cold face, completely unguarded, and Yvonne instinctively backed away.
Her instinctive retreat only added fuel to the fire; he felt as if he was about to explode with anger.
He reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing his
entire body against hers, “I want both, so what?”
His tone was domineering and resolute, his eyes filled with an undeniable gleam.
“Despići Vida Couple’s Cohfrontation
On one hand, he wanted others, and on the other, he couldn’t let go of her. Even a well–cultivated person would be driven mad by his words.
Yvonne reached out to grab him, her nails leaving marks on his face. It hurt quite a bit.
Benson kept a cold face and held her wrists behind her back.
A flicker of anger flashed in his eyes, “You really are like a cat, aren’t you?” Always managing to scratch him successfully.
“Let go of me.” Yvonne kicked him again, her voice filled with obvious anger and resistance, her eyes brimming with unyielding light..
He always found ways to trap her, rendering her immobile.
In just a few moments, she was panting, her chest rising and falling violently.
Yvonne looked at him with watery eyes, her breath quick, her face red and
inviting.
“Can you be a little more patient, hmm?” Benson’s voice was low and magnetic, tinged with a teasing, playful tone, and his eyes carried a hint of
amusement.
Apart from catching him off guard and scratching his face, she had not other tricks up her sleeve.
Between couples, the most they would do was call each other shameless and disgusting during a fight.
Yvonne really disliked his tone, “Let go.”
Her voice was filled with obvious dissatisfaction and resistance, her eyes showing a firm resolve.
“No!” Benson’s tone carried a hint of stubbornness and an undeniable gleam in his eyes.
He was already certain she had no way to escape and could only let him have his way.
In this confrontation, Yvonne knew she was once again the loser.
When it came to ruthlessness, she couldn’t compare to him. The way he treated her was as if she were a toy he hadn’t tired of yet, never with
sincerity.
But this time, she didn’t want to compromise, because compromise was meaningless.
If it was a standoff, so be it. She averted her gaze, caught in a humiliating position by his grip..
Benson knew she was being stubborn and wouldn’t give in no matter what.
Now was a perfect opportunity, an excellent time to explain the St. George. matter and everything that had happened recently.
“Yvonne, listen to me…” Benson’s voice was low and urgent, trying to calm
her down.
“I know you’ve suffered a lot of grievances recently, but there are some things I really can’t control.”
“Can’t control?” Yvonne let out a cold laugh, her eyes brimming with ant irrepressible sarcasm.
“You’ve only ever considered yourself; you’ve never thought about my feelings!”
“That’s not true, Yvonne. You know I’ve always cared about you.”
Benson’s voice carried a hint of helplessness and pain, his eyes filled with deep remorse.
“Care about me? If you truly cared, you wouldn’t treat me like this!”
Yvonne’s voice was filled with anger and despair, her eyes reflecting an irrepressible disappointment.
The words on the tip of her tongue were swallowed back down.
It wasn’t the right time. She wasn’t giving in, nor begging for mercy, just standing her ground. Benson lifted her and carried her upstairs.
Her limbs regained freedom as he hoisted her over his shoulder,
struggling fiercely.
Benson got scratched several more times, her strength evident, showing how deeply she resented him.
Once upstairs, he threw her onto the bed.
The room’s dim lighting and the decor exuded a sense of solemnity and elegance.
The curtains swayed gently in the wind, whispering tales of the night’s turbulence.
The air was thick with tension, as if even the walls were whispering
secrets.
“Yvonne, you said in St. George you wanted to stay by my side, now act at little foolish,” he said.
Yvonne was genuinely amused by his audacity; he truly had the nerve.
“You are honestly the most shameless person I’ve ever met, without exception.”
Her voice was filled with anger and sarcasm, her eyes reflecting ant irrepressible hatred.
“Say whatever you want to make yourself feel better. My goal is to keep you.”
His tone carried a hint of helplessness and determination, his eyes filled with an undeniable light.
He knew he couldn’t choose divorce at this moment, no matter what.
Yvonne lay on the bed, unwilling to speak further.
Talking to him always led to futile discussions.
She initially didn’t want to pay him any mind, but the more she thought, the angrier she got.
Why should she endure his choices that caused her pain and accept

everything calmly?
Yvonne sat up and threw everything she could replace at him, expressing her pent–up frustration from the past few days.
She nearly smashed everything in his room, finally standing breathlessly
by the window. “If you want me to be foolish, fine. I’ll be the fool who doesn’t think before acting, perfectly matching a scumbag like you!”
