Chapter 199 The Transformation of Caesar
Yvonne frowned slightly, shaking her head with a hint of helplessness in her voice, “I don’t know.”
Bella linked arms with her, curiosity glinting in her eyes. “Is someone coming after you?”
Her tone was uncertain yet filled with intrigue. “They seem to be on a higher level.”
Yvonne gave a wry smile, a trace of worry in her eyes. She knew if the person wasn’t skilled, how could they make it difficult for Benson to replace. evidence?
Her mood was heavy, clearly feeling at a loss with the current situation.
“Could it be Jeremy? Didn’t you say he confessed to you?” Bella tilted her
head, obviously interested in the subject.
Yvonne took a deep breath, showing signs of irritation and helplessness
on her face.
“Someone having a bit of a crush on me isn’t going to pay such a high price to ruin my marriage by running over my husband’s assistant and breaking his leg. That… isn’t normal thinking, right?”
Her words were tinged with sarcasm and confusion, clearly unable to understand Jeremy’s behavior.
Bella scratched her nose awkwardly and whispered, “True that.”
She remembered the argument with Benson at Donald’s banquet that night was indeed because of Jeremy.
This topic made her feel even more uneasy.
“But, speaking of crazy, I do recall someone like that,” Bella’s eyes glimmered with thought.
“Who?” Yvonne asked curiously, with a hint of expectation.
Chapter 109 The Transformation of Caesal
“It’s just a guess. I need Megan to check it out,” Bella’s tone grew serious.
Yvonne squinted her eyes, “Are you going to check, or is someone else helping you check?”
Bella chuckled, linking arms with Yvonne. “Of course, I’ll use him to check, make the most of resources.”
Her tone carried a playful tease. “I tell you, a woman who doesn’t beg a man for love is so refreshing… Especially if he’s good–looking and skilled… even better!”
Yvonne couldn’t help but be amused by Bella’s words, “Ms. Bella, your thoughts are dangerous!”
“What’s dangerous? If you ever need it, just call him over for fun. Your body is your own, and you’re not betraying anyone. Happiness comes first.”
Bella spoke with a light–hearted and casual tone.
Yvonne chuckled, recognizing that Bella’s words, though slightly twisted, carried a grain of truth.
However, her relationship with Benson clearly did not suit such a
viewpoint.
Benson, who is exceptionally talented, as the heir of the Taylor Group, still chose to shoulder the heavy responsibilities in Caesar Group, controlling it
with an iron hand.
Benson’s presence allowed Yvonne to step away from daily trivial matters and devote herself wholeheartedly to the adjustments at Caesar Plaza.
Since Benson took over Caesar Group, his talent and vision began to show, and Caesar Plaza’s situation improved,
Bella’s endorsement was like spring rain, silently refreshing Caesar’s public image with a new breath of life.
Benson’s support was like sunlight, giving Caesar new vitality, significantly enhancing its traffic and sales data.
However, Yvonne still harbored a bold idea: to temporarily close Caesar
Plaza’s doors..
Although this decision might spark suspicion and criticism, she hoped that through a complete overhaul, Caesar Plaza could be revitalized.
Therefore, Yvonne immersed herself in work, pondering day and night about reshaping Caesar Plaza.
In Yvonne’s office, the desk was piled with materials, documents, plans, various data analysis reports, etc.
These data seemed to form a complex yet orderly maze, and Yvonne was the explorer within.
She needed to replace the patterns within, solve the puzzles, and weave them into a perfect strategy.
The long hours of work had taken a toll on her, but the focused and determined look in her eyes shone even brighter under the visible light.
Recently, Benson took an auditing team to visit subsidiaries under Caesar.
Dressed in a formal suit, he appeared spirited, and his profile exuded a unique coldness and resilience.
His rigorous attitude and professional knowledge earned the respect of subsidiaries and their employees.
However, after the trip, when he returned to the office and saw the
familiar, well–lit space bustling with activity.
Seeing Yvonne still working diligently at her desk, he paused momentarily.
There was a flash of surprise and concern in his eyes.
Since their last heart–to–heart talk, their relationship had become akin to a couple in a cooling–off period before a divorce.
Aside from necessary interactions, they hardly communicated more.
The office door opened quietly. Yvonne, expecting Megan, looked up and was surprised to see Benson.
“You haven’t left yet. Great, I have something to discuss with you,” Benson

said, removing his tie and casually tossing it onto the corner of the desk before handing Yvonne a document.
Yvonne took the document and glanced at it. Some parts were circled, and her brow furrowed slightly. “What’s circled…?”
“Cut them. These business lines are meaningless to keep.”
Benson’s tone was decisive and merciless.
“Caesar’s industries are wide–ranging, from luxury retail, chain real estate, fashion magazines, to cosmetic brands. We need to focus our energy on keeping the most valuable parts.”
Yvonne was taken aback by Benson’s decision.
“Only keep the luxury retail and self–owned jewelry brand? Isn’t that a bit too harsh?”
Benson slightly turned his head, his gaze deep and unreadable.
His demeanor carried a sense of authority, giving off an air of undeniable
resolve.
“What do you think?” His voice held a hint of calm scrutiny.
Yvonne took a deep breath, weighing her thoughts internally.
“In business, doing less with more focus is better than doing a lot poorly. Apple’s product line is just a handful, can be counted on one hand.”
Her tone was firm, and although their relationship wasn’t as close as
before.
She knew Benson’s suggestion held merit.
Benson raised an eyebrow, saying nothing more, seemingly satisfied with her response, or perhaps waiting for further input.
“Let’s have a meeting tomorrow,” Yvonne finally said, determination in her
voice.
“Alright.” Benson nodded, a glimmer of approval in his eyes. He looked at Yvonne as if examining her transformation.
WITH 4 ***
Yvonne glanced at him, feeling there was much she wanted to say.
But it ultimately condensed into a simple “Alright.”
She moved her lips, but in the end, said nothing. There was a mix of complex emotions inside her, yet she couldn’t express them.
She sat at the desk, her gaze lingering on Benson.
He reclined in the chair, holding a cigarette, the smoke swirling around him, and a deep look in his eyes.
“Why are you staring at me?” His voice was casual yet full of hidden implications.
“Why are you at Caesar… What for?” Yvonne looked directly at him, a trace of curiosity and doubt in her eyes.
