Benson 58
Chapter 58 Pain in the Palm
Yvonne no longer expected any explanations or respect. She had seen through the nature of their relationship.
Benson could ignore Yvonne’s feelings and even trample on her heart.
Because she once liked him, because she loved him, she deserved this treatment.
Benson’s actions were too much. If her mother saw the state of her marriage, how heartbroken would she be?
Yvonne felt a surge of helplessness and pain. She didn’t know how to face this harsh reality.
“Mr. Donald wants to meet the owner of the brooch,” Benson said again. His tone was cold, as if Yvonne was an insignificant person.
“I’m not going,” Yvonne replied firmly, without hesitation. She knew that going would only increase the cost of him hurting her.
She would no longer be the Yvonne who came when called and waited eagerly for his attention.
“Go back.” Her attitude was cold, as if she were talking to a stranger.
She had had enough of Benson’s indifference and cruelty and didn’t want to immerse herself in such pain anymore.
“Let’s settle this fairly, okay?” Benson tried to resolve the issue in a seemingly fair manner, but his tone was filled with disdain and contempt, making Yvonne angry.
Yvonne was furious, “When have you ever been fair? Aren’t you the one who goes back on your word? Can you have some shame? In this day and age, you still want to have multiple wives?”
Her voice was full of anger and disappointment. She couldn’t understand why Benson was so heartless and selfish.
“What multiple wives? Are you blaming me for not mentioning divorce? It was just an accident. You had one, and I had one. We’re even.”
Benson’s tone was light, as if discussing something trivial. His attitude made Yvonne’s heart grow cold. She couldn’t accept such an explanation.
Finally, they were talking about divorce after all these days.
Yvonne looked at Benson’s indifferent expression as he spoke, as if discussing the weather. Her heart was filled with sorrow and helplessness, knowing their marriage had reached its end.
“Benson, your words are really unpleasant. The accident was my business. I didn’t ask for your help. Yvonne’s voice was filled with firmness and resolve. She didn’t want to give Benson any excuse to hurt her anymore.
It would reduce a lot of trouble and worries.
Benson’s gaze was like a cold winter wind, icy and unfeeling.
He stood there silently, his eyes revealing a trace of displeasure and indifference, as if scrutinizing a disobedient child..
His lips curved slightly, forming a barely noticeable arc, showing his dissatisfaction with Yvonne.
He could tolerate a beautiful woman throwing tantrums, being unreasonable, or event disobedient, but when such behavior became uncontrollable, it was no longer charming. “What a pity that it’s me with you, not the Marcus you’re always thinking about!” His voice was cold, carrying a hint of warning.
His words were like a sharp knife, stabbing straight into Yvonne’s heart.
Why did he have to use this to humiliate her? Wasn’t he the one who once told her to go to Marcus?
Yvonne’s heart was filled with unspeakable bitterness and anger.
Her eyes reddened, her voice trembling, “Any man would be better than you!” Her heart was full of dissatisfaction and disappointment with Benson. She couldn’t understand why he treated her this way.
Her fingers clenched tightly into fists, her nails digging into her palms, the pain making her more acutely aware of her inner anger.
Benson was genuinely angered. His eyes flashed with fury. Marcus was one thing, but even Anthony, who once tried to harm her, could be compared? His heart was full of confusion and anger, unable to understand why Yvonne would belittle him so.
He smiled, but there was no warmth in that smile, only coldness and mockery.
He advanced toward her, each step pressing on her heart.
Yvonne regretted not controlling her emotions and speaking out of turn. Her heart was filled with fear and regret, knowing she shouldn’t have provoked him.
He tugged at his tie, loosening it, and pushed her against the wall.
His movements were rough and forceful, making Yvonne feel suffocated and fearful.
Her heart was filled with concern for the future and a longing for freedom. She knew that only by leaving Benson could she truly replace herself again and reclaim her happiness and freedom.
Benson’s gaze revealed deep disappointment and anger, unable to understand why Yvonne treated him this way.
His heart was also filled with concerns for the future and a desire for freedom. He knew that only by leaving Yvonne could he truly replace himself again and reclaim his happiness and freedom.
Yvonne’s movements in her struggle were somewhat disordered, her fingers instinctively scratching at the wall, trying to replace support.
Her heart raced, each beat like a hammer pounding against her chest, reminding her of the awkward situation she was about to face.
At that moment, Yvonne’s elbow accidentally hit the cabinet by the wall. The delicate vase on top wobbled a few times before falling helplessly to the ground, shattering with a crisp sound.
The loud noise echoed in the quiet room, as if even the air was s
shaken.
Yvonne’s breath hitched. She knew the sound was enough to draw anyone’s attention, especially her mother, Hannah.
Sure enough, Hannah’s concerned voice came from outside the door, “Yvonne, what’s wrong?” Her voice carried a hint of worry, as if ready to push the door open.
Yvonne’s heart raced even more. She was so nervous she could barely breathe.
Her eyes darted around, looking for a place to hide, but the room was empty with nowhere for him to escape.
Her palms started sweating, the slippery feeling making her even more anxious.
At this moment, Benson appeared unusually calm.
His eyes showed no panic, instead carrying a playful smile.
He gently let go of Yvonne but didn’t fully step back, standing in front of her as if waiting for something.
“Let go,” Yvonne’s voice trembled slightly. She tried to stay calm, but the fear in her heart. made it impossible.
“Will you come with me?” Benson’s voice was low and firm, his gaze unwavering.
“You’re always like this.” Yvonne’s voice carried a hint of helplessness. She knew Benson always used the people and things she cared about to pressure her. This method was despicable but effective.
“It’s not honorable, but it works on you!” Benson’s lips curved into a smug smile. Seeing Yvonne still holding her head high, he leaned down to kiss her.
His actions were gentle yet firm, as if declaring his victory.
Chapter58 Pam in the Pabn
Yvonne heard the footsteps getting closer, her heart pounding out of her chest.
She wanted to push Benson away, but his strength made her immobile. Her voice carried a hint of panic, “I’ll go, okay?”
But Benson didn’t release her. Instead, he became even more aggressive.
His kiss grew more intense, as if trying to devour her entirely.
