Chapter 136

The glass window in the room looked like a reflective mirror under bright light.

Rachel Grey could see the reflection of David Jones holding a hairdryer and gently drying her hair.

It had to be said that this man had an unparalleled face. No matter what he did, it was pleasing to theeye.

Even when he was holding the hairdryer, he did not look out of place at all. He still looked composed,elegant, and noble.

“If you keep looking at me like that, I won’t be able to hold it in anymore.” David gently partitioned herhair. She could not help but think that his husky voice was euphonious. Rachel could not help but turnback to look at him. He placed his palm on the top of her head and nudged her back. “Don’t move.”

Then silence ensued, but the sound of the hairdryer was faintly audible.

Rachel’s gaze drifted to the wardrobe. “Did you prepare all the clothes in the wardrobe?” “Yes,” Davidreplied. “This place will belong to you sooner or later.”

It seemed he was very certain about the future. Rachel lost her composure. It was as if a stone hadbeen thrown into a calm river, instantly setting off layers of ripples.

She turned her head and looked at the man in a daze. Then her lips moved. “How can you be sosure?”

At this moment, David switched off the hairdryer. His slender fingers grabbed her chin, and his blackeyes stared at her keenly. An unfathomable emotion surged within the depths of his eyes. “RachelGrey, you’ve attracted my attention. Do you think you can escape from me?”

Rachel moved her lips. But before she could say anything, he put a finger to her lips. “You can continueto doubt me, but I don’t mind cutting off all your escape routes. I will myself with actions and that youcan only be my woman in this life.”

The dim lighting accentuated the man’s facial features. His thin lips curled into a faint smile, but hiseyes showed otherwise.

A dangerous aura lingered around him. It was as if he came from the abyss.

However, Rachel was attracted by this quality of his and could not resist getting closer to him.

It was difficult for her to maintain her rationality when he had such an alluring face.

She thought that she would follow her heart since she could not give him any guarantees.

‘I’ll prove it to you.”

David was amused. He gave her a meaningful smile. “Prove what?”

Chapter 136

Before he could finish speaking, Rachel hooked her arms around his neck and raised her head to kisshim.

He could feel the warm jelly–like sensation on his lips as they came into contact with hers. He alsothought she tasted kind of sweet.

David was dumbfounded. Then he looked at the woman in front of him.

It was just a peck on the lips.

The sensation on his lips disappeared the moment she retreated.

David pursed his lips, seemingly savoring the aftertaste of that kiss. However, he also seemed unkeento press her to continue.

He looked up at her, his dark eyes revealing a hint of restlessness.

“You have to keep your word.” Rachel looked at him with a bright smile. “You can’t have any otherwoman apart from me in this life!”

David was astonished. The anger in his heart gradually subsided.

“It’s getting late. I should go to bed.”

In other words, it was time for him to leave.

Rachel stood up and prepared to go to bed.

Her wrist was suddenly grabbed by him and a force pulled her back.

Rachel’s expression changed slightly. Taken aback, she fell into his arms.

Then the man seized both her wrists and lay her down on the bed forcefully.

She could not resist in the face of his cold domineering aura. His handsome face inched. closer and heprinted his lips on hers.
