Don held a cigarette between his fingers as he watched Chief Brown walk past him with atdumbfounded expression.

When he came back to his senses, he hurriedly chased after him. He did not forget to mutter self–righteously, “Chief Brown, this case is extraordinary. Perhaps we can take this opportunity to captureVince, who has been wanted for three years. Now, I beg the higher–ups…”

As soon as he entered, he saw Chief Brown personally removing the handcuffs for Rachel. There wasa look of pity between his brows, and his tone was apologetic. “Rac–Rae, I’m sorry, I’m late. I’ve let yousuffer.”

The interrogator was dumbfounded.

Don, who was standing at the door, was speechless.

One had the last name ‘Brown‘, and the other had the last name ‘Gray‘. How did they become uncleand niece?

Chief Brown in front of him was indeed not Rachel’s uncle, but Lucas’s biological uncle.

Rachel moved her wrist and looked at Morris with a smile. “Did Lucas look for you?”

If Lucas knew, his brother–in–law would probably know too.

The police station would probably face another bloodbath.

Morris calmed down and looked at Rachel with a smile. His tone was cautious and fawning. “Rae–Rae,why don’t you come with me?”

The two of them walked out of the interrogation room one after another.

He hesitated for a moment and smiled awkwardly. “It’s just a small matter. Sorry to have. troubled youto come personally, Mr. Johnson.”

“Tell me, what happened?” Tom put out the cigarette in his hand and casually looked up at Don whowas behind Morris.

The man’s voice was low and cold, making one shudder.

Morris glared at Don. “Speak up! Are you mute now?!”
