Meanwhile, at Sandalwood Hills.

In the half–underground wine cellar, the wine cabinets made of glass on all four walls were filled with adazzling array of famous wines.

In front of the black–and–gold marble bar counter, David Jones and Landon Walker sat side by side.Jimmy Shain was walking around like a tourist.

It was not that Jimmy Shain had not seen something like that. It was just that David Jones treasuredthis wine cellar so much that he barely let anyone in.

“You were never a nosy one.” Landon Walker played with the whisky tumbler in his hand and gave asneering smile.

The live stream had caused such a sensation that it was hard for them not to know about it.

Upon hearing his words, Jimmy Shain quietly walked to the bar counter.

The two of them looked at each other, and an imperceptible tease flashed across their eyes.

“I thought you loathed the camera? Why are you so keen today?” Jimmy Shain picked up a cube of iceand plonked it into his tumbler. As he shook it gently, the ice clinked. “You rarely interfere in Vince’smatters and whatever happens in the country. Are you not afraid of breaking the peace this time?”

David Jones leaned lazily against the bar counter, his arm resting on the corner of the table. His blackshirt was rolled up to his biceps, revealing his porcelain–white skin, and his clean and slender fingerswrapped the wine glass.

The amber liquid in the glass made his knuckles look almost translucent.

The warm lighting around the bar counter shone on David Jones like a coating of golden light, softeninghis strong aura.

He raised his head and finished the wine in his glass. He slowly glanced at Jimmy Shain. “There isgoing to be a shipment at the docks tonight. You are in charge of it.”

Jimmy Shain was stunned.

He was drowned in embarrassment and anger.

No explanations would make sense.

Landon Walker’s lips curled up into a gloating smile. He coughed lightly and straightened hisexpression. “Is that woman from the Johnson family?”

He could not think of any other reason.

Upon hearing this, Jimmy Shain raised his eyebrows in surprise. He licked the corner of his lips withthe tip of his tongue as if he could smell an affair happening. He stared intently at David Jones. “Do nottell me you have desires for that young lady of the Johnson family, who has a different family name.”

They did not forget David Jone’s sole purpose of returning to Seaxas.

He came back to break off the engagement with the Johnson family. Yet, David Jones did not mentionanything about the annulment of the engagement after such a long time. That aroused their suspicion.

“To be fair, that woman looks scintillating, very similar to you, I must say, but other than that, I do notthink she is worthy of you at all,” Jimmy Shain commented bluntly. The harshness in his words was alittle like a vicious mother–in–law.

Landon Walker nodded in agreement. “With her capability, I am afraid she will not be able to move atwill in the Jones family and earn anyone’s recognition. You have to remember one thing. Whoeverstands by your side must be able to survive independently.”

A woman like a dodder was not suitable for David Jones.

After listening to their in–depth analysis, David Jones remained calm. No one could tell if he was happyor angry.

After a moment of silence, David Jones placed his glass tumbler on the bar counter with a dull thud thatmade would make one shudder.

He leaned back and rested one arm on the bar stool. His deep and cold voice sounded unhurried. “Aslong as she is willing to, I can push her up to an untouchable position that no one can reach.”

David Jones sounded casual, but the two people in front of him could hear the implication of arroganceand supremacy.

The name “David Jones” represented a godly status.

Some people were fated to live a carefree and wealthy life from birth and would not care less aboutlove.

That was David Jones‘ case.

However, he had changed for a woman.
