Matthew had received the favor of the Cruise family many years ago, so he had been secretly helpingthe Cruise family all these years.

At this moment, when Matthew heard Olivia’s words, he put down the knife and fork in his hand, andslowly wiped the corners of his mouth. Matthew looked up at Olivia. “Olivia, to be honest, this matterwas too sudden. Two minutes after I received the notice, your father was taken away. I don’t knowmuch about the details.”

“Uncle Matthew, is there no room for negotiation? To be honest, ever since my father was taken away,my mother has been bedridden. I really don’t know what to do.”

Matthew looked at Olivia and pondered for a moment. “Olivia, think about it. Did your family offendsomeone recently?”

Hearing this, Olivia frowned and fell into deep thought.

The current Cruise family was far inferior to the Cruise family five years ago. Otherwise, Olivia wouldn’thave returned to Louis’s side.

“Or have you offended anyone recently?” Matthew looked at Olivia meaningfully.

Olivia was about to get engaged to Louis and was on good terms with people everywhere. Why wouldOlivia seek revenge at this juncture?

The only possibility was Rachel!

a thing or secretly targeting the Cruise family.

Therefore, Olivia quickly denied this possibility.

“Uncle Matthew, I really don’t know who the Cruise family has offended recently. Can you please askaround so that we can personally visit and apologize?” Olivia looked at Matthew eagerly.

Whoever targeted the Cruise family was able to get past Matthew and aim directly at them. It meantthat the identity and status of this person were not ordinary.

This matter had to be dealt with properly. Otherwise, it would be a calamity for the Cruise family.

If anything happened to the Cruise family, it would be difficult for Olivia to marry Louis successfully.

“I can only do my best,” Matthew said. “Since the other party has made a move on the Cruise family,they won’t just make a small move.”

Olivia nodded. “I understand.”

However, there was an ominous feeling lingering in Olivia’s heart, and she could not shake it off.

After Rachel and David finished eating, they walked out of the private room. Rachel received a callfrom Lucas. “You’re not at the office or at home at this time. Tell me the truth!”

Although Lucas had some computer skills on him, he had never violated Rachel’s privacy.

“I got a boyfriend,” said Rachel.

Lucas said, “Rachel, you’ve really forgotten the pain after your scar healed. With your past experiencewith bad boys, you still dare to choose a man yourself!”

Upon hearing Lucas‘ words, Rachel said unhappily, “Lucas, believe it or not, I’ll beat you up!”

What did Lucas mean by past experience with bad boys?

Others might not know why Rachel chose Louis back then, but it wasn’t like Lucas didn’t know either.

“I’m telling you, come back immediately!” Lucas said. “Otherwise, I’ll tell

my father. You’ll suffer when the time comes!”

Rachel frowned slightly. “If you dare to say another word, I’ll smash your garage!”

Lucas treasured his garage the most.

There were many limited edition sports cars parked there.

“Rachel, I’m warning you one last time. Come back immediately!”

Rachel sensed the seriousness in Lucas‘ tone. Rachel pursed her lips and said angrily, “Got it.”

After hanging up the phone, Rachel kicked the flower pot in front of her as if she was venting her anger.
