Chapter 183

Rachel hung up and reimmersed herself in work.

When it was almost noon, Jessica and Mary barged into her office after filming the poster.

“Dear Ms. Grey, if you have time, let’s have a meal together?”

Rachel looked at the two people before her and smiled. “What do you want to eat?”

“Hearing this, it seems that our rich and powerful Ms. Grey is going to give us a treat.” Mary raised hereyebrows at Jessica and said with a wicked smile, “Quickly think of how to rip her off.”

“There’s a kaiseki restaurant in the east of the city. Shall we go and try it out?” Jessica asked.

Mary said, “Let’s go!”

When the three of them went out, they specially waited for Linda.

Speaking of which, the four of them had been classmates since high school. Now that they couldreunite, the atmosphere was harmonious and noisy.

Especially when they talked about their school days, it instantly resonated with everyone.

Even Linda, who had always been quiet, said, “Before I met Jessica, I always thought that she hadbecome similar to the rumors, an out–and–out bad girl.”

When they were in middle school, Jessica wore exquisite makeup and dressed boldly. She often wentto deplorable places like nightclubs.

She was proficient in smoking, drinking, fighting, and brawling.

When the hooligans around the school saw her, Jessica nodded and bowed submissively.

However, who would have thought that the turning point of fate would pull the two of them, who shouldnot have interacted at all, together, and let this ‘bad girl‘ in the eyes of others become her salvation inlife?

Thinking of this, Linda quietly looked up at Jessica.

Coincidentally, she met Jessica’s gaze, and a hint of embarrassment appeared on her face at beingcaught looking.

“Jessica isn’t bad,” Mary said. “The one who is truly bad is your Ms. Grey! She’s evil!”

As she spoke, she glanced at Rachel through the rearview mirror, her eyes sparkling meaningfully.

Rachel curled her lips. “We’re the same.”

Although this kaiseki restaurant had just opened, its marketing methods were unique. It was also goodat grasping consumers‘ mentality, so it attracted many people.

Fortunately, Jessica had reserved seats early. Otherwise, the four of them would probably have had tocome away empty–handed.

When the group entered the private room, the door at the end of the corridor opened.

When Olivia Cruise saw Rachel and the others, she frowned slightly and disgust flashed across hereyes.

“What’s wrong?” Louis followed her line of sight but did not see anything.

Olivia came back to her senses and put on a gentle smile on her face. “Nothing. Uncle Matthew saidthat he’s at the door. Let’s go receive him together.”

Louis nodded. “Okay.”

At the dining table, Louis asked about her father.

“Uncle Matthew, I wonder if there’s any news about Uncle Cruise?”

Matthew Shaw put down the wine glass in his hand and looked up at him. “To be honest, I went backand asked around. This matter seems to be related to the Johnson family.”

“The Johnson family?” Louis‘ expression changed. He turned and gave Olivia a telling look.

Olivia’s expression likewiise changed drastically. Across the entire Seaxas, only Seaxas’s richestpeople, the Johnson family, could make people’s faces turn pale.

In terms of power, no one could top the Johnson family. In terms of

status, if the Johnson family sneezed, Seaxas would tremble.

The entire Johnson family was invincible in Seaxas.

It was precisely because of this that no one dared to make enemies with the Johnson family, let alonethe current Cruise family.

Although she knew it deep down inside, Olivia still held a trace of fantasy in her heart.

She clenched her fists and asked in a tense voice, “Are you talking about the richest people in Seaxas, the Johnson family?”

“Of course!” Matthew Shaw said firmly.
