Louis understood Old Mr. Smith’s conjecture. A hint of shock flashed across his eyes. “Are yoususpecting that Rachel Grey is a member of the Johnson family?”

Old Mr. Smith frowned slightly and looked at Louis with a solemn expression. He nodded lightly.

Louis could not help but think of Rachel being treated as a distinguished guest by the merchants andchatting happily with Linda Galler.

He couldn’t help but become silent, deep in thought.

A strange stillness fell across the room.

“I understand.” Louis pursed his lips and hesitated for half a second before continuing, “Actually, I stillhave something I need your help with.”

“You want me to contact Rachel?” Old Mr. Smith looked up at Louis.

Louis met the old man’s sharp gaze and felt a little ashamed. “I tried to get her forgiveness, but Rachelinsisted on not reconciling with me. That’s why I have no choice but to ask Grandpa for help.”

Old Mr. Smith understood Rachel’s character.
