It was not until Rachel’s vision blurred that David finally let go of her as he panted heavily. His slightlycold fingers gently caressed her red lips. “Look at the stars and the moon, and think of planning for thefuture. Are both of us the most intimate people in this world?”

“Huh?” Rachel couldn’t keep up with David’s train of thought.

“Are you confused or pretending not to understand what I have said? Huh?” David raised her eyes andsmiled.

However, Rachel keenly sensed a sense of danger from his words.

She blinked her eyes and seemed to be thinking about how to give David, a satisfactory answer.

However, David did not have that much patience. “Rae–Rae, I’m jealous.”

Upon hearing this, Rachel’s eyes seemed to be smiling faintly. She stretched out her arms andwrapped them around David’s neck. At the same time, she rubbed against his chest. “He’s history.You’re my present.”

“I will also be your future!” David’s wide palm clasped the back of her neck. His dark and deep eyesstared deeply at Rachel. “I just regret that I did not have the chance to meet you earlier.”

David didn’t mind Rachel’s past, but he was affected by the fact that he wasn’t in her life earlier.

If he had appeared earlier, she would not need to be alone and forced herself to be strong. She alsoneed not face the current situation alone.

A magical warmth flowed from Rachel’s heart to her whole body. She looked up at the man in front ofher.

Rachel could feel David’s warm breath on her face. Her palm on his chest could clearly feel the steadyheartbeat in his chest.

His deep black eyes were filled with indescribable affection. He was going to lower his head and kissher lips in the next second.

Even though Rachel had seen this handsome face up close more than once, she was still attracted tohis face and could not bring herself to reject him.

Her heartbeat was in a mess.

“I’ll allow you to kiss me,” David said.

Rachel was stunned. Before she could react, the man grabbed her chin and kissed her lips again.

David looked at Rachel’s almond–shaped eyes, which had turned from surprise to embarrassment. Hesmiled very widely.

After the kiss, David rubbed her earlobe with his slim fingers and chuckled. “My Rae–Rae has alwaysbeen reserved. How can I let you take the initiative?”

Before he could finish speaking, Rachel’s phone suddenly rang.

She looked down and saw the call from Lucas. Only then did she remember that she had stood Lucasand Mary up.

She glanced at David, picked up the phone, and walked to the corner. “Hey, what’s up?”

Mary’s furious voice came from the other end of the phone. “Where did you go? Lucas and I have beenwaiting for you for hours! Don’t tell me you were waylaid by some man!”

Rachel was afraid that David would hear something he shouldn’t hear, so she deliberately pressed thephone tightly against her face. However, she accidentally pressed the speaker button.

Thus, Mary’s loud voice could be heard throughout the entire private

room.

David heard everything clearly.

Rachel was extremely embarrassed. She wished she could hide somewhere.

After a moment of silence in the private room, Rachel said without changing her expression, “Hello!Hello! Can you hear me? The signal doesn’t seem too good here.”

Then, she ended the call.

Mary was speechless!

She thought that Rachel was really ridiculous!

After Rachel hung up the phone, she coincidentally caught the mocking smile on David’s face.

She felt her face burn with embarrassment.
