Chapter 311 One Must Have Self-Awareness

Katy frowned. Before she could react, Rachel suddenly let go of her.

“Ah…”

Accompanied by a cry of surprise, Katy fell to the ground in a sorry state.

Rachel looked down at her and exclaimed pretentiously, “Oh dear! Why are you so careless, MissPage?”

Her expression and tone were as hypocritical as they could be.

Katy’s eyes were red as she glared at Rachel. “Rachel, just you wait. I’ll tell my aunt about whathappened today when I get back. I’ll see how she deals. with you then!”

She was the heiress of the Page family who was born with a golden spoon in her mouth. She hadalways been the center of attention and pampered since she was little. She had enjoyed the enviousgazes and love from the

surroundings since childhood, and she had gradually developed an inherent sense of pride andaloofness.

Everyone had always been obedient in front of her. She had never suffered before!

Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly. There was a tinge of ruthlessness beneath her nonchalantposture. “Do you think you would still be able to talk to me in one piece if it weren’t for Aunt Eleanor?”

Katy’s eyes flickered and she took a step back in panic.

Rachel, who had been protected by Lucas since she was a child, was not

someone to be trifled with.

Not to mention Lucas, Rachel herself was either fiddling with guns or wrestling in close combat in herfree time.

She did not behave like a typical lady from a wealthy family at all. She was

more like a ruffian.

Back in high school, she had even severely injured someone. In the end, it

was Tom who intervened to resolve the matter.

In order to avoid a head–on confrontation with Rachel, she distanced herself from Rachel andpretended to be calm as she said sternly, “Rachel, even if you have the Johnson family’s protection,you’re still an outsider while I’m the

legitimate heiress of the Page family! If you dare to lay a finger on me, I can guarantee that the Pagefamily won’t let you off!”

At the mention of the Page family, Katy suddenly felt more confident. She raised her eyebrows slightlywith a hint of smugness.

Rachel walked forward unhurriedly until she pushed Katy against the

sink. She said calmly, “Do you really think that the Page family would offend the Johnson family foryour sake? Don’t you think you ought to know your limits? Why embarrass yourself like this?”

She raised her hand and helped Katy tidy up the loose strands of hair on her face. “Learn to be smart.Keep in mind the expectations everyone has had of you since you were a child, and don’t let themdown. Remember, you’re the smart role model of all socialites, Miss Katy Page.”

Her tone was light and calm, but Katy felt an unprecedented sense of

sarcasm.

In an instant, all her grievances, anger, and unwillingness surged within her. She watched as Rachelturned around and left. She had completely forgotten the outcome of the slap just now. She grabbedthe bag in her hand and threw it at the back of Rachel’s head.

“Rachel, I’ll fight it out with you!”

Rachel sighed helplessly and thought, ‘Could it be that intelligent people would also behave stupidly?‘

She dodged the bag that Katy threw at her. Next, she grabbed Katy’s arm with one hand and pinnedher behind her back. Katy’s entire body was pressed against the cold wall at the entrance of thewashroom.

Katy’s face turned red. Even with her exquisite makeup, her face looked slightly ferocious. “Rachel, letgo of me! I’m not done with you!”

No matter how she struggled, she could not break free from Rachel’s

shackles.

On the other hand, Rachel remained calm and said, “Katy, I’ve never taken the initiative to pleaseanyone. I’m just putting myself in the shoes of others. If you don’t want Aunt Eleanor to spend time withme, you can discuss it with her, but don’t embarrass yourself here!”

“Other people may be afraid of you because of the Page family, but I’m not!

You can ignore your own life, but you ought to spare a thought for the Page

family. Don’t you think so?”
